i have seen this dr. since dr. harold gave up his practice quite a number of years ago. he told me…read moreto drink more water for some time but never made any reasons why. the day after thanksgiving in 2018 i was told i had 34 % of my kidney function! i mean, come on! i was not happy, to say the least. i mean, more water, more water, then, boom, i am in stage 3 kidney function. this was a total shock! he referred me to his college and i would right now still be waiting until jan. 9th to have a kidney dr. see me. i took myself to navicent e. r. and went through the e. r. to have them check my kidney function. it was still compromised. the dr. i saw in the e.r. referred me to a dr. in macon ga who is a kidney specialist. i was seen in about a week and a half. i am currently having tests run, they took 6 vials of blood, did an ultrasound on my bladder and kidneys, a urine sample all in one visit. i now have to give them a 24 hour urine sample that they will test for my kidney function. i will deliver the sample the day after the first of jan. 2019. about two weeks later i will review the results with this kidney specialist. if the other shoe drops and i am told i will only go into stage 5, dialysis, there will be consequences. i will hold this dr. at perry primary accountable and that is that. i should have been told more information, i should have never been on certain meds. while seeing this dr. the list goes on and on and on.

The second surgeon was Dr. Carey who was able to see me within one day of contacting him. He, his staff, and the entire office experience inspired confidence. After his very thorough exam he showed me the x-ray, explained what the problem was, and the treatment he could provide. He did not press like a salesman, just waited for me to process the information and tell him how I would like him to proceed. However, Dr. Dixon was such a disappointment and so frustrating to deal with. He tried to decrease my contact strength prescription without letting me even try on any trials (thank God for the woman checking me out who made sure to find some me to try on before we ordered because I would've been pissed off getting contacts that I couldn't see through), kept promoting some podcast he was going to be on, tried to tell me that my primary physician wasn't going to truly check on one of my health conditions that I needed to get an ultrasound from him instead, told me to look something up using AI, and couldn't dumb down an explanation of something that was, as he described it, "pretty sciency" (I'm a month away from having a masters degree in biology mind you). He tried to schedule me for an unnecessary procedure after telling him I'm losing my insurance very soon. He also stated he "wouldn't be mad" if I chose to stay with my original prescription instead of going with the lower strength one, as if a decision regarding my body and what is going to be best for me should include factoring in his emotions. A genuine disgrace to eye doctors who are actually worth a hoot. If you don't want to be scared into going to the doctor or receiving an unnecessary procedure, I recommend going elsewhere.
