I am the lucky girl to marry Hans H but had to add my 2 cents about Lo. My now hubby and I come from 2 different ends of the dancing spectrum. He = white man with the overbite and air guitar, me = former ballroom pro. He knew that my big wish for our wedding was to be able to dance WELL. Uhhh, I'd like it like that, she working that track, we don't know how to dance, LoMotion for me, LoMotion for me, LoMotion for me, hire LoMotion for me. Ok, I was a little bit apprehensive about this whole dance number for a wedding entrance thing, but what the heck, I have no shame and like it was my choice anyways... I got to see Lo's handiwork at another friend's wedding a few years back, and if she can get those knuckleheads Jai Ho'ing all the way to the reception without making huge fools of themselves, she can get anybody to dance. I was in my friend's wedding party and it was decided that they wanted a grander entrance. No biggie except we're on the other side of the state, most of us have no rhythm and how the hell are we going to coordinate the lessons especially if we weren't ever going to meet in person??? Smooth Lady Lo was able to break down all the moves into easy to learn and digestible pieces through the magic of the internet and video sharing. Lots of practice, lots of encouragement and a few Skype sessions helped us pull the whole thing together. Heck, she made it so easy that I was able to learn the moves with my daughter strapped to me in a Baby Bjorn. No need to call CPS, no babies were harmed in the making of that number. The kid liked it. Really. Most of us still don't have any rhythm, but damn did we look good and the crowd ate it up. She'll make you faaaaaabulous daaaaaahlings. When my wife hired Lady Lo to emcee our wedding and choreograph our dance, I was a tiny bit apprehensive and uncomfortable with the thought of busting out some rehearsed moves in front of 100 guests... We had our first practice with her and I was sold! She made it so fun and created an awesome routine that worked well with our song of choice. We did a hip hop dance and I even got a little solo so I got to put my white boy popping skills on display. After just one practice we had half of the dance down! 3 times total working with Lady Lo and we felt confident that we had the routine down pat. We then practiced several times on our own at home (with her custom mix, created just for this dance) to make sure we were ready to go... and we went out there and nailed it! So many people taped the dance on their cameras/phones and told us how awesome the dance was! My wife and I had an opportunity to work with Lo through a recommendation from our wedding coordinator and it was probably one of the best decisions we made 1 week before the wedding. Lo was able to turn our uncoordinated bodies and help us dance to one of our favorite songs by not only teaching us the moves but also helping us edit the song down to a more palatable size time wise. She helped us go through the entire song with incredible patience and she was able to throw in some moves that was very easy for us to understand and to wow the crowd. Lo helped my parents on both sides get comfortable on the dance floor and it was a great experience for everyone. I was among the last weddings in a 2-year long string of friends' weddings, and was definitely feeling some pressure to up my game. What would make our wedding memorable and fun, as opposed to bleh and meh? How could we put the stamp of our personalities on our special day, without inducing any eye-rolling or inward groans? Enter Lady Lo. I called Lo randomly, on a complete whim (to give you an idea, I had also called a gypsy banjo band and a firework company). Lo gave off very good vibes over the phone, I got the immediate sense that she was professional, organized, cool, fun to talk to, and KNOWS HER JAM. Of course I had several concerns. We have two left feet, we don't live in L.A., what if the groomsmen don't practice, our wedding party live in 4 different states, how will we practice?? --- But Lo put me at ease; she has dealt with all of these situations before! First, she asked my fiancé to send a video of any move he is able to do, then incorporated that into the choreography. Lo's recorded video instructions were step by step, very easy to follow and actually a pretty fun way to goof off on the weekends. She also scheduled a couple Skype sessions with us, and to top it off, offered to come meet us before our rehearsal dinner. Even though half of our wedding party didn't know each other, everybody loosened up pretty quickly because Lo is just so damned fun. We chose "Play That Funky Music". Our guests loved it. Our wedding party had a blast. Our photographer and videographer couldn't wait to record it. And it was such a great icebreaker for the rest of the evening. Working with Lo ended up being one of the best (last minute!) decisions we made for our wedding! I can't say enough good things to people about how great she was. With very little notice, Lo was able to take our song selection and create a very simple-to-follow routine for my husband and I to enter the reception room and perform as our first dance. It was so easy to schedule time to meet at her place that has plenty of room for learning and practicing the steps. She's enthusiastic with a fun sense of humor. So affordable and took the stress off me to create my own little routine (and teach my husband) with all the other wedding details I had on my plate. Recommend, recommend, recommend! My wife hired Lo to coordinate a very cool surprising first dance for our wedding reception this past Saturday 10/13/12. After the first practice, I would leave saying to Lisa "wow, I love working with Lo, she is so awesome and I feel so comfortable when she teaches us dancing". Lo made learning the first dance very easy to follow. She would break everything down into sections and have us do it over and over again until we got it down. By the end of our lesson times with her, Lisa and I would rave how amazing she is and fun she was to learn from, we feel like she is now a good friend! Lo was amazing!! My fiance (now husband) was skeptical when I told him that we were going to take dance lessons leading up to our wedding. Lo made him feel totally comfortable though and we had a really great time! She made us look so polished and we received loads of compliments on our dance. The best part about it was that it didn't look like a choreographed dance at all, rather it just looked like we knew how to dance which is what we were going for. There are wedding choreographers and then there's LadyLo. She is a dancing and choreographing (ask her about her emcee'ing skills too!) extraordinaire. She created a fun hip hop routine for our wedding that allowed us to show off our moves yet was manageable for my dear semi-rhythmically-challenged husband who danced his butt off! I can't thank her enough for making our day much more special. Our guests complemented us months after the wedding on the work she did. She coached us the whole way through and was our biggest cheerleader, helping us stay on top of things without being intrusive. Hiring LadyLo for a wedding dance for our entire wedding party was the best decision we made! We were nervous about the first dance but she took our mediocre dancing skills and made it not only fun, but entertaining for our guests. Lo is a fabulous choreographer, working with each couple or group at their skill level, and making suggestions to best fit each member of my wedding party . She was 100% professional and reliable, She took a very stressful time and made it one of our fondest wedding memories. Lo is amazing! She did the impossible by teaching our entire wedding party 2 dances(We are young by Fun/Gangnam) for our wedding without ever being present in person since we live in the San Francisco bay area. Firstly she is super detailed and creative about her choreography. Second she's a perfectionist, who is willing to do whatever it takes to help you learn the choreography. For us that meant many videos of the choreography for both the bridesmaids and groomsmen! She even took the time to Facetime with us to make sure we knew the moves!
