Little did I realize my family lives just a few blocks from Waitrose. Upon walking towards the entrance and entering the grocery store, the ambiance and appearance were bright and cheery. The lime green hues were calming as well. Perusing through the isles was reminiscent to the Rainbow Market located in El Cerrito CA USA. The wine selection had quite a few different varieties including, lol~"The Rest Of The World" humorous labeling. The pastries were not labeled with the entire list of ingredients used making each pastry so, I was unsure what the ingredients used were. The common daily necessities such as organic milk and eggs were ample as well as diapers for my grand-daughter and TP located on the shelving were plentiful, too. Fruit and veggies appeared fresh as well which my daughter bought three bananas for my grand-daughter.

I've been in here a few times when I've fancied a cheaper lunch than that offered on the street itself. Every time i've been in there the staff have been lovely, courteous and patient (which is a surprise considering some of the rude lunch crowd they get through). I normally do my 'side shopping' at the Co-Op on old street itself, but since that store is closed at the moment for refurbishment I ventured a bit 'up market' and I have to say, I'm glad I did. The selection of food, fruit and veg on offer is staggering in comparison to the co-op. Everything I've eaten from here has been faultless, which is surprising considering the first sandwich I bought was a cheese and celery (It sounds weird but I couldn't resist). One thing that suprised me was definitely the price, it was my misconception that Waitrose was very expensive when compared to other retailers. OH HOW WRONG I WAS! On the items i bought (sandwiches, fruit and other nic-nacs) Waitrose was consistently the same price or cheaper than it's counterparts. Need I say, I'm definitely shopping here again and I reccommend you do to!

I feel I should get paid…read morelike a top PR the amount I have enthused for the new store... which was long overdue being modernised and this Summer saw Tesco Watford become the talk of the town and the nation, as it's the first to get the flash new overhaul and it made the news. Literally. The renovations were undertaken without closing the store and whilst I admit I did stop shopping here while they were being carried out, I returned, opening day, with a fist full of vouchers to entice me back. You now have to queue to get in the car park. But...it's worth it and they now have car park assistants who direct you to spaces (layout has changed in the car park and disabled bays are now near the main doors). Outside is the same except for the swanky new Giraffe restaurant we are lucky to have in Watford now... But that deserves its own review later! Inside. Customer services is in same place, bit small and under staffed for a super store perhaps. There's a new 'scan and shop' section which I still need to try but I see a lot if peeps are using it. Food to go area is fab. Think salad bar to help yourself, loads if sarnies to chose from and pre packed salad and sushi goodies. Also it's a good section to nip to if picnicking. Plus there's self serve tills for this section alone so it's super convenient. The new bakery. Wowsers. So middle class and rustic. I lurve. Wooden table a la farm house laden with baked goods and hearty loaves. Also a counter with lots of posh desserts (quite pricey) and cakes. It's quite hard to grasp this is now where all bread and cakes are though. But it's early days. The toilet is in this section. No sign though. Annoying. And only one in whole hench store which is disappointing. Harris and Hoole. Love the look. Great lattes. Will sample food am sure. Always busy and not keen on the buzzers they give you to wait for coffee. Bit ott. But there's a coffee cart directly outside store so I usually grab one there as less busy. Florence and Fred. Happy days. This section looks amazing. Trolleys are able to mooch the aisles and it really feels like a proper clothes store, better fixtures and layout/feel than Marks or Next. And stock is great, fab designs and cheap as chips. I always come away with something. Fitting rooms are spacious too. Rest of store super laid out. New pizza counter (still not a patch on Asda's counter pizzas though- listen up Mr Tesco!). Fruit and veg section is epic, so spacious and easier to navigate than before. Make up and health sections look great as does home wears. Proper department store vibes. Loving. Dangerous for my bank balance. Opticians and pharmacy both helpful and knowledgable. Tills are still bit queuey but lots of people are checking out the store so busier than usual I think. Defo worth a visit. You can spend a whole day in here which I guess is the point as it has a destination shopping feel now. They even do yoga and kids classes here. Massive thumbs up!!

The Waitrose was only 0.5 miles from my flat, and is also pretty close to the Fulham Broadway tube station. The store is big, spacious, and easy to navigate. I was able to find everything I was looking for, from produce to coffee mugs. Being new to the country, I wasn't familiar with a lot of the retail chains but I had heard that Waitrose might be a bit expensive. However, I found it was pretty easy to get reasonably priced items if you paid attention to reduced price items and/or Waitrose brand items; a lot of their basics are really affordable. There was a pretty good selection of produce, and a lot of teas and bakery items to choose from. My total purchase was about £23 for a bag of stuff that was pretty hard to carry home. Overall I was very satisfied with my trip and the prices. The biggest downside was that the queues were quite long, especially considering it was midday on a weekday, but there's not much to be done about that. Customer service was good, not as eagerly friendly as in the States, but an employee handed me a basket as I walked in and the cashier was efficient. The store accepts major credit cards, although (probably) because mine was foreign, I had to sign my receipt and hand over my card for inspection.

Customer Service: There isn't much to say about the customer service at this particular Waitrose store other than it being top of the game. With a smile, a hello and a question about how your day is going with a short conversation depending on your answer, you couldn't ask for a more friendlier bunch of staff than these guys. Being a regular shopper here allows me to see consistency all the time and I never fail to engage in an active conversation with the cashier. Product's: We all know that Waitrose is technically classified as a premium label store, but if you were to look closely, you can catch many of your everyday products (name branded) for the same price. Many Waitrose shoppers don't mind paying a little extra for the quality but Waitrose is becoming a store that is welcoming all types of shoppers regardless of how much they can spend elsewhere. My recent discovery has allowed me to spend the same amount as I would (probably just a tad more) than I would at the Morrisons next door but quality in comparison to both store puts both stores in seperate league tables. **5 stars for the consistent customer service whether that being first thing at 8am or later in the day after 2pm. The price-matching feature is a bonus as it allows me to save a few pennies as well as being able to grab a free coffee and a free newspaper/magazine (courtesty of Waitrose free members card) sets the bar very high for all the other food outlets to compete with. Many look for a bargain at cheaper stores but I'll ask you this again, can we really afford to compromise on good quality food?**

Their main appeal is that they stock a variety of gorgeous polish breads (rye, onion, garlic and so on). As well as the regular convenience goods they have a large fruit and vegetable store outside the front of the shop which is really reasonable.

However, one day I used the same ID from my phone, they don't accept it anymore. No sorry, no explanation, just rude way. Treat me like a second class citizen. I bet they don't ask everybody else for the real ID. P.s. I am a 36 ys old mother with two kids, I do not think they can't tell that I am older than 20ys old from my appearance. Just across the road from the main entrance to Holland Park, this is a relatively small Waitrose, but still has a good selection of fresh produce, and a fair range of everyday groceries. I often pop in when in the area, as I like the quality of the vegetables especially. I have found the service to be much improved of late so have been happy to shop there, as well as buying Waitrose / John Lewis gift vouchers as reliable and simple presents! (NB there are check-outs at both the Kensington High Street and Earl's Court Road exits, so if one area is busy you can always use the other!).

The overall store isn't as large, or simply as nice as other Waitrose branches, including the one inside the other Westfield mall in Stratford City. The staff didn't seem too friendly or helpful either, other than one member of staff, who I can only presume is the Supervisor, or perhaps the only one with real training and experience. The overall selection in-store either for items such as newspapers and free-from wasn't great, highlighting just two of the many areas where the items stocked or simply the quantity of items stocked were an issue. They did have similar Waitrose offers here for loyalty card members for any store, even those I'm used to in Manchester, such as through getting the free hot drink if you make a purchase and a free newspaper when spending over £10, but still the issue that arose for me was the lack of places to pick up that free beverage, with the only obvious place being the cafe which had such a large queue, hence there should be more options and places to pick this up. The store seemed slightly inconvenient getting in and out of without the lift, and the staff were not aware it wasn't working which is frustrating, so improving the accessibility of this store is a must, as well as selection and service in certain areas, the overall layout of the store also seemed to be curved, angled, hard to navigate so sadly for me I feel this Waitrose store deserves a single one-star rating.

Waitrose is one of the anchor stores of the new Westfield shopping development, and has delivered…read morewhat, even for this high-end company, is an impressive outlet. The store is relatively large (25,000 sq ft, so I'm told) for an in-town branch, and - in addition to the normal product range - features a myriad of fresh food counters, including ones for meat and fish, a bakery, a delicatessen, and salad, cheese and olive counters. One novel feature is a stand-up eating area with high tables where you can buy fresh products and eat them in-store, New York style. I have to say eating while standing up is not my cup of tea, so we'll have to see if others catch on to this. I'm also rather puzzled as to why they have included a supermarket in such a large shopping centre: I can't see anyone wanting to go fashion shopping weighed down with groceries, nor have the energy to go to the supermarket once they've walked around the miles of gleaming corridors above. On my visit, Waitrose seemed distinctly quiet (on a Friday afternoon), but maybe it's just a matter of time. The only downer is its location, which can be a little tricky to find unless you arrive from the Central/Overground stations: basically, it's in the basement below the House of Fraser store at the very south east corner of the site. The store also provides a packing, carry-to-car and delivery service (not to be sniffed at if you've seen the size of Westfield's car park).
