The word supermarket in this shops title is a little misleading. I would class it more as a…read moremini-mart or convenience store. It's a newsagents, an off licence and also stocks a number of food items such as bread, milk, tinned food and basics such as flour, cooking oil, and other cooking ingredients. To me as a forgetful person it has come to my rescue on many occasions as I'll realise that I have run out of something and will use Supersave as my first port of call to replace it. The shop also has the added convenience of being on the way to the train station from West Street so quickly grabbing a paper for the train journey, a sandwich for lunch or topping up my Oyster card is easy to do. If you happen to be traveling to work in the morning there is a recently established pastry section which sells croissants which are well worth checking out. Supersave's long opening hours also increase the convenience factor. Price wise you will not pay much different to the big supermarket chains. My only real complaint is the layout. The aisles are quite narrow and at times can be difficult to navigate which is not ideal for parents with prams.

It's open super early, like way before the roosters come out to cock-a-doodle-do. This place is not just good for basic off-licence needs. Their magazine selection is impressive. Their publication section takes up nearly a quarter of their shop and the titles that they carry range from basic Sun to highly stylish Tank. So, if you're on the go and you need to handle business, but you'd also like something good to read on the bus, this is the shop for you.

Be prepared for overpriced food, highly-variable (and unpredictable) hours, and the company of people wearing suits. 2. This place. It's not the best Tesco Express I've seen. They have a rather small selection of ready-to-go meals, and I think they only get one delivery of pastries per day. But they're open early, they're open late, and their prices are good, in spite of being the only food option for the numerous hotels and upscale residential developments that have gone up nearby. Go Tesco!

Staff were wearing camera with their uniforms when stocking the shelves. The Express version of Teso seems to be designed for those on the go, perhaps grabbing a bite to eat before work, a quick lunch, or a sandwich after getting off work. I went in for water but ended up leaving with much more. The prices are so reasonable, hence why I bought more than enough. I was a little offput that the milk case doors were left open which probably isn't right for good safety reasons but other than that no complaints. They had fresh fruit, drinks, candies, dairy items, and things like chips/crisps and crackers. It's not a full grocery store though since it's an express version. They do have self checkouts as well which helps speed things along. Such a great place if you're hungry and don't want to spend a lot.

I was visiting from USA so I just wanted to find some "British" treats to take home... Chocolates, chips, stuff like that... They had a decent variety of those types of things but otherwise this would be a store if you were in a pinch and needed a quick snack and that's about it. There's an M & S store right around the corner at the entrance to the train station that's much cleaner and nicer and has more options plus the same thing.

They make full use of every available space with the shelving on the wall reaching to the roof (it was not very clear how you actually get the products down from there) and food items even being packed on the floor. It had a big enough wine and chocolate section, which is exactly what I was looking for. If nothing else, this is a must see for the pure randomness of it all! :)
