So I went back to Cindy and I explained to her that my hair was naturally wavy but I couldn't find anyone who knew how to cut it to release its potential. I've had to use hot rollers for the past several years because I couldn't find anyone who would listen to me and cut short layers all over! I brought Cindy an image of what I wanted for fringe and then we discussed in detail what I was wanting. She is a genius with wavy hair! These pics are literally my hair after just a wash and run! NO TRIM. I had my haircut in Dec and went back for a trim 2 months later. I was told by the woman at the counter that I couldn't get a trim after 1 month and I had to get a haircut. The stylist was embarrassed but said nothing and we tried for another haircut which wasn't great and I not knowing the big city ways, paid. I never went back. Undoubtedly the Best salon in town! Peter and Elise have years of experience (Miami!) and run a great salon with stylists with talent. Their care for their staff shows with plenty of celebrations. During these covid times they were doing curbside pickup of hair products and then reopened with all appropriate precautions as soon as state guidelines permitted. The London Looks family is amazing. Today I had an appointment setup. Unfortunately, there was a conflict in the scheduling, the customer before me was looking to have more done, therefore I had to sit there for a time that was much longer than I desired or planned (1st time ever). When I was called back for a wash, Janice (I believe her name) was extremely kind and apologetic. Then Cindy called me to the chair (she too was very apologetic). And then upon paying for the haircut, Elise (the front desk woman), was apologizing and helped amend the issue at hand in one of the most professional ways I have ever experienced in an establishment (this is huge). I have been going to Cindy for over a year and a half, and that is not changing. She is very gifted at what she does and would definitely recommend her (or if she's busy, cutting my hair, anyone else else in the staff). The staff at London Looks has always been nice, and today, even in their mistake, handled this more professionally than I would have expected and I appreciate it. As a business owner, I think many places can learn from the way the crew runs London Looks. He was very savvy, impeccably dressed, seemed very confident in his skill and definitely made my daughter feel comfortable and welcomed. Her hair turned out great! She loved the highlight, salon and especially Nicholas. Having had some precious salon boo-boo's, she's always nervous about new stylists. As her mom and a former salon owner, I'm way skeptical as well. Knowing the industry, I knew within the first few minutes of the service, she was in talented hands. Excellent choice. She added low lights as well as highlights and also added opalex conditioner without consulting me about significant upcharge. Hair looked great when I left $227 later plus additional $30 tip. I recently eloped and had my hair and makeup done at London Looks without doing a trial first (risky I know!). Cindy did a wonderful job getting my short hair into a wind proof twist that held up through 20mph beach winds. I then had makeup airbrushed on by Mariah who did an amazing job as well. The entire salon staff was very nice and welcoming and provided a calming influence on a stressful afternoon. Treva is tops! She actually listens to her clients and takes her time to be a cut above!

After living here for 10 years and never finding a stylist that i was happy with, my nail tech (at a nails-only salon) suggested I go see Treva after I complained to her about my last bad haircut experience someplace else. I am so glad i did! Treva really takes her time, I was there for about an hour, maybe a little longer. She listens to what you say and she effectively fixed up a former bad haircut while keeping in mind what sort of look i was after. I have thick wavy shoulder length hair and wanted it layered. At first I was skeptical of spending $40+ on a haircut but became fed up with hating the way my hair looked after going to the cheaper places who just want to rush you in and out. The saying "You get what you pay for" is true in this case. After going to discount places (ie, supercuts etc) I really can see the difference. Never again will I go back to one of the $20 haircut bargain chains... Treva did a remarkable job and I will go back for sure. The salon was clean and upbeat, and everyone was friendly. The only thing I can say is the people who had unfavorable reviews must have had other stylists work on them. (one reviewer claimed they are "just out of school" - perhaps some are, but not so with Treva, she has been there since right after they opened, and was at another upscale salon before that, so she is experienced, and it shows) Five star experience, was worth every dime -- all around I am very happy. read more

Since leaving NC, 3 years ago, I've been desperate to find the right person to trust with my fine, fragile, straight, blonde hair. I've been through two stylest since moving to STA. All have ended in dissapointment and disaster. On my continued search, I tried London Looks and I was assigned to Cindy. My first experience with her was a body wave with beachy curls... Not a single sign of damage! I was beyond relief with her attention and detail to my hair. My second trip was yesterday and I asked for mahogony red lowlights... No problem for her!
