When I called the office to complain, I was met with poor customer service, no empathy, and no accountability. The most shocking part was being told they wouldn't unload my belongings unless I paid cash. I felt pressured into paying because I was in a vulnerable position, and I did not feel free to leave until the payment was made. Literally held hostage!! as a woman this is scary Moving is stressful enough without feeling intimidated over your own belongings. The last 2 weeks before our move were the busiest too, so we were trying to look for a company that could take care of everything and not cost us an arm and leg. Martha was a big help and scheduled the move for us. The mover Peter and a few other guys came out and packed all of our things up. The entire move took only a couple of hours and they were all super professional. Move went smooth, from start to finish. They arrived on time and got our things to Chicago without any damages. I got a recommendation from a friend of mine, so I called them immediately. The agent took over the complete process and informed me what to do step by step. Everything went smoothly and easily. They guided me through every step of the process from the beginning! There weren't any unpleasant surprises. I must admit I was suspicious about the efficiency. The guys did a great job, even though it was quite complicated to schedule the delivery date so urgently. Thanks to the leader of the crew and good teamwork, I didn't have to do anything! He walked up those 4 flights of stairs maybe 5 times and myself and his very keen colleague did all the rest. My back was getting worse by the minute and when i asked to take a break because of my back issues, he told me absolutely not because he was in a hurry......all the while, he just stayed on the van talking on his phone. To add insult to injury, he made me unload the other end too. I was stupid for going along with it but i was a girl on my own and he was very intimidating. I was shell shocked by the end of it and he even sneared at me when i paid him and asked for more money.....as it had taken too long apparently. Like it was my fault that he didn't help or that the company had underestimated the job at hand!! I complained to the office the next day and was promised a call back which didn't come. I asked for my £100 back which i never saw and im now suffering on a daily basis with my back as that awful day really aggrivated an old injury. They are liars and crooks. Do not use them. Go with a well known company that won't rip u off.......its just not worth it!!!!!!!
