I visited, hoping to try out a recumbent bike, while I considered whether to spend £1500 on buying one. I was only going to be allowed to borrow one if I'd made an appointment, or if I paid £15 to hire the one we were standing right next to, even though he pointed out that if I had made an appointment he'd have insisted I ride that one for 10-15 minutes (for free) while I got used to it.
A very odd approach to getting me to spend £1500!
I phoned Bikefix, who also sell recumbents - they allow anyone to turn up and try one out (without charging £15). If I'm going to spend more than a grand, I'll be doing it there instead. read more
