Disappointing & Unprofessional Experience…read more Brian's Taxi Service came highly recommended, and after reviewing the positive reviews, I felt comfortable hiring the company to provide transportation for my clients during their trip to Harrisburg and Lancaster, PA. Unfortunately, their experience did not meet expectations. Transportation was arranged and paid in full in advance, yet my clients had to remind the driver about their scheduled pickup. They ultimately arrived approximately 35 minutes late for their scheduled show in Lancaster, causing them to miss part of an experience they had already paid for. My clients also reported that there was poor communication, no assistance with their luggage, and a lack of the professional presentation and welcoming customer service they expected from a transportation company advertising reliable, safe, professional service. As a travel advisor, I take the vendors I recommend very seriously because their service reflects on my business as well. I had hoped to establish a relationship with Brian's Taxi Service and potentially refer additional clients and fellow travel professionals who frequently send travelers to Sight & Sound. Based on this experience, however, I cannot confidently recommend the service at this time. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and results in improvements in punctuality, communication, professionalism, and customer service for future passengers.

I've never been scared to be in a car in my entire 52 years of living. On top of that, as a female, he told me and all sorts of disgusting verbiage that he could take care of me sexually. Then started talking about how I would be really good in bed. He looked at me about a dozen times like I was a piece of meat. He was in the front driver seat and I was in the back passenger seat. When he really wanted to get his point across, he would turn his head all the way around face me and then look me up and down like I was his prey. I was not safe at all, I was scared and felt that I had to fake kindness towards him. Otherwise, it could be bad . All of that and $219.18 charged to my PayPal debit card. Also, directly after that, my card was getting all sorts of strange charges. Brian is a scammer. He's a thief and I would not want any female alone with him. I don't even know how he has a business unless there's other services he provides that are not legal, which is highly likely. When I asked him for a credit after I was safely away from him. Average rate per hour is 2-3 dollars, especially in PA. The minimum wage is $7.25 an hour and he paid himself $200 plus tax which PA does not even have. $$$220 for less than a half hour in a vehicle unfit for driving and a sexual predator I'm currently hiking the Appalachian Trail. Directly after he charged me $220 all sorts of charges started hitting my card. It is the one way I pay for things safely and money is added to my account when needed. Since all that happened, they had to shut down the card so I was not able to Resupply with food or fuel to cook. I will not get a new card for probably about five or six days. What I'm going to do in the meantime, I have no clue, but I would appreciate people reading this and taking it to heart because what he did is wrong and I don't want anybody else to have to deal with that. The vehicle on his site is not the vehicle he has currently he has a smaller SUV. It is dark just like the one in the picture, When I questioned the charge via text when I was safe, he said that he had to charge me that much because he knew nobody else would bring me to the train station. That statement was false. I had plenty of ways to get there. I was just looking for the best cost savings as I had just been charged $50 for a 15 mile ride and thought that was a lot.

They refused to pick me up. Refused. They are in a "legal battle" with the fairfield. After the ride we were still charged the additional hour and a half (although we were traveling well under the speed limit due to the car's issues. When called they offered to credit us $30. Please make sure you read the fine print carefully and ask how old the vehicles are (ours was old). For the price, it should be better service. I would not suggest using them, I would choose an alternate company in the area.

They were never the newest cars advertised, but they were clean, correct, and on time with respectable drivers. John then sold me an unlimited package for the year for as many trips as I and immediate family members needed to and from the airport, and of course I would need to pay up front. I was traveling at least every other weekend so the option seemed very appropriate to me considering the cost of one ride. The first few rides worked out great and then it started going south. I got picked up one day by a driver with a beat up, dirty clunker that talked a lot of smack about John and the company, and he also had his elderly lady friend in the passenger seat. If it wasn't for fear of being late for my flight i needed to take for my job, I would have told him to get bent and found another ride. I reported it to John and never saw him again. Next I started getting picked up by another guy he subcontracted out. This guy nearly made me late for a flight because he was more worried about his personal phone calls on one occasion. On a second occasion he was so late getting to my house that I left and drove on my own down to BWI and nearly missed my flight again trying to get my car parked. Fast forward to another occasion where I came home on a late flight, landing after midnight, and turn on my phone to a text message that the driver was involved in an accident and hit a deer and John would reimburse me for a taxi for me to come home. I was not happy. No taxis were available and I had to book another car service at 1am and get charged extra fees for getting a driver out of bed. John refused to pay for the ride because it was another car service and not a taxi. The final straw was a ride I had scheduled for my mom and I (remember the immediate family member part). We were flying out together but coming back separately so having the ride package would have worked out. Our driver never showed up and John stopped answering his phone. It cost us extra time, money, and anxiety to remedy due to John. John Arace stopped returning any phone calls or messages. I tried to turn him in and get some of my money back. All I have learned is what a scammer he is. It's a shame so many of us received the same run around story and had our money stolen by this criminal for services he never provided.

Before making the reservation, I specifically updated them that our group had grown to 18 people and asked for additional information regarding their 23-passenger minibus. Based on the information provided, we discussed the price with our entire group, everyone agreed, and we moved forward with the online booking and paid a deposit. After the reservation was made, we were contacted and advised that although the minibus seats 23 passengers, it has very limited luggage storage and no underbelly storage. We were told that with 18 passengers, we should limit everyone to one suitcase each and that additional luggage could create a problem. We later asked specifically about carry-on bags, backpacks, garment bags, etc. and were then told that carry-on-sized suitcases would not fit in the overhead storage and that suitcases could not be kept in the passenger compartment due to safety regulations. At that point, the alternative presented to us was upgrading to a small motorcoach, which increased our round-trip cost from $2,433.60 to $3,384. My issue is not that there are luggage limitations on a minibus. I completely understand that different vehicles have different storage capacities and that safety requirements need to be followed. My disappointment is that this information was not communicated before we booked. We had already specifically disclosed that we had 18 passengers traveling to a cruise and had asked about the minibus before making the reservation. Luggage is obviously a significant consideration for 18 people traveling on a cruise, and knowing these limitations beforehand would have absolutely affected our decision. To their credit, they did bring the issue to our attention before the trip and confirmed that they would provide a full refund of our deposit if we chose to cancel. After discussing it with our group, that is ultimately what we decided to do because we did not want to risk luggage not fitting on the morning of our cruise. I appreciate that they notified us well in advance and agreed to refund our deposit, but the entire situation could have been avoided with more thorough communication before the booking was made. When someone specifically provides a passenger count and asks questions about a vehicle before committing to a reservation, important limitations like luggage capacity should be clearly explained at that time. Unfortunately, the experience left us disappointed and looking elsewhere for our transportation.
