    The cabin during night time
    Kaidan E.

My girlfriend and I really had our expectations low because of the 1 review on expedia but this place was perfect. We stayed in Applegate Cabin (4) and it came with great amenities. It came with a coffee maker, can opener, cork opener, spoons and forks along with a sink to do dishes. Showers were close along with bathrooms however make sure to come during the day because during night time it was hard to find our cabin. We never saw managers so i can not comment on it however the man we called for check in was nice and gave us great directions.

Swimming hole on campground; clear cool water.

We enjoyed out 8 days here, spacious level gravel lots, 50 amp service and the park is in a great location to travel to California to see the Redwood National Forest as well as explore the caves. Host was extremely nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Magical. We felt secluded, comfortable, and safe in our environment. The campground was serene and we could see sparkling stars for miles. Glenn was a caring host and went out of his way to make us feel at home. The Buffalo tipi was adorable! Don't miss out on this gem.

Wow! What a great experience! My truck broke down in O'Brien while I was towing my travel trailer. The folks at this RV Park disconnected my TT and towed it to their park, set my rig up, and checked in on me while I was waiting for the tow truck. They even transported me and my bike and some RV hoses for me, helped me when my power cord wasn't long enough, and let me use their phone to communicate with the auto shop. To say they were nice is an understatement, they were amazing. Even going so far as to get me a ride to Grants Pass to pick up my truck. And, as if the fantastic service wasn't enough, this is a great park with all sorts of amenities. Laundry is only $1.25 a load. A beautiful swimming hole is in the back of the property, they are very dog friendly, tipis are available for rent and the tall trees and flowers are quite beautiful. Although I ended up here by accident, I will be back to enjoy this place again. Nice place! Nice folks! Nice prices! You'll be happy here!

    The pond!!

This rv spot is awesome! Electric hook ups and water with very clean well working restroom facilities. The water comes from a well so the water was clean and soft. The pond, that is in walking distance was swimmable and clean. Very cute. They also had teepees and cabins that were rentable. Al, the manager, was more than helpful and made my family vacation easy to have fun! He was informational and got me excited about the propane grills, campfire site, and games set up on the grass mound in the middle of the park! Glen, the owner, even stopped by and made small conversation with us! Very hospitable, polite, and so much fun! When i return it will definitely be with Lone Mountain Park!

Fantastic campground with amazing staff! Most of the RV sites seem to be occupied by the seasonal "snowbird" seniors, so it is quiet in the evening. The tent sites are very spacious with plenty of room for chairs, coolers, etc. I wish we didn't have to pay $1.25 to use the showers, but as nice as this place and everyone here has been, it's not the end of the world. Lots of wildlife roaming around the park. Turkeys, lizards, and even a deer joining another campground for their breakfast! The tipis are a lot of fun too, but may let more bugs in than a tent would.

Lone Mountain is easily one of the best little RV park campgrounds I've ever visited! Behind the RVs there are teepees and spacious campsites. The owners graciously gave us a $15 huge tent site even though we showed up at midnight and woke them up! Clean bathrooms, dish washing stations, Porta potties, and campsites. Private swimming hole (clean and lovely), walking distance to a convenience store, cute pavilion with a community BBQ/games/wifi, limited road noise, and plenty of privacy. The owners are very sweet and had good advice for things to do nearby. They were also very accommodating for my dog and did not charge us a pet fee. I will definitely be back!

Awesome spot for campers, RVs, and tent travelers alike!…read more The Laughing Alpaca Campground is such a great find. It's super close to the Oregon Caves and offers everything you could want in a place to stay. Full hookups, clean showers, WiFi that works, laundry on-site, and even easy river access for a refreshing swim. The whole place has a funky, laid-back vibe but is also really well kept. Everything was clean and clearly taken care of, which made our stay feel extra comfortable. Whether you're road tripping in your RV, towing a trailer, or just pitching a tent, this spot is highly recommended. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

A Hidden Gem in Southern Oregon!…read more Laughing Alpaca Campground & RV Park is hands down one of the best places we've stayed on our travels! Tucked away in beautiful Cave Junction, the location is peaceful, scenic, and perfectly situated for exploring the area, including the Oregon Caves and Redwood forests. The campground itself is spotless--every site is well-kept, and the bathrooms and showers are some of the cleanest we've encountered. They have a laundry house with great washers and dryers. The office can sell you quarters. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining the place, and it really shows. Easy access to the river. One of best things here is the alpacas on site. They are super friendly and cute. They also have a fenced in dog park which is great for dogs being off leash. What really sets this place apart are the incredible hosts, Renee and Jeff. They were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt right at home. Their hospitality truly made our stay special and memorable. The value here is outstanding for the quality of the experience. Whether you're in an RV, tent, or just passing through, this place is a must. We can't wait to come back!

The location is superb, so close to Trees of Mystery, the Klamath Tour Thru Tree, and just a short drive away from Crescent City. The bathrooms and showers were SO clean and not horrendously outdated like some camp sites. They also had amazingly hot water, which was an extremely pleasant surprise as we were unprepared for how chilly it would be up here. We stayed at camp site A13, right next to the bathroom, with an amazing view and no smell issues. There was plenty of room for our two cars and three tents (one large and two small ones). We didn't really check out the other amenities, but it looked like they had a field where you could play sports and they had free equipment rentals in the shop. Their store is another stand out feature! Some places charge a premium, knowing that their guests have no choice but to pay, yet they had reasonable prices for all of their items. They also pretty much had everything you could ask for in there. We bought their tree and bear mini lego set for $16 and saw it the next day at a different store for $21! Minus one star because their dryer didn't work too well, so we ended up with super damp clothes despite trying to dry it three times :(

Grassy Flat Campground was an ideal roadside stop for me to spend the night before venturing along…read moremy Redwood National and State Parks journey. I highly recommend this campground perfect for those adventurers needing a place to rest their heads on a whim at the spur of the moment. That's how I discovered Grassy Flat Campground. I was driving along my cross country summer road trip and needed a place to crash for the evening. As usual and during so many times along my travels, I opened up the app on my phone called CAMPENDIUM! I also recommend to all those campers and tourists out there who appreciate sleeping among the great outdoors, definitely download Campendium. It's free to use and as long as you have cell phone reception...it'll always list the available campsites within any area in the United States. Campendium was my saving grace from my road trip!! Grassy Flat Campground was so convenient. When I arrived here over the summer, it was basically first come, first served. You don't need reservations. It was about 4pm in the afternoon when I found one of the last remaining campsites still unoccupied. Wow...I was grateful for this because along this area of Highway 199 and around the Redwood Forest section...I found accommodations to be few and far between. Lol, basically, I was grateful I wasn't crashing in my car for the night. And for me...I had just visited Crater Lake and was making my way south from Oregon. Grassy Flat was situated just outside the Hiouchi Visitor Center (about 14 miles away) great for starting my Redwood Parks itinerary. In terms of location, Grassy Flat Campground was ideal! Being just off the road of Highway 199 and not far away from the major town of Crescent City...it felt comforting knowing I was nearby a place to get gas, food and supplies continuing along my trip. Now to describe Grassy Flat Campground...it was scenic...right in the heart of the forest and woods! I felt like I was breathing in nothing but fresh air enjoying nature at it's finest! When pulling into my campsite...it had a fire-pit for barbecuing and a picnic table set beside random trees. I sincerely appreciated relaxing and taking in the authentic camping surroundings. It's simple $10 fee to camp for the night. You have to pay immediately upon choosing a campsite. You can pay by check if you don't have the exact amount of $10. Then just drop it into the safe/drop box. There wasn't a Camp Host on the grounds, but I guess they go by the honor system. They do offer portable toilets. Although the porter potties weren't the cleanest...they were certainly sufficient enough to make it through the night, lol. My one and only deterrent about this Grassy Flat Campground (and it's a small one) was that I didn't have cell phone reception...to sort of play on my phone and entertain myself. But it was still perfectly fine not using my phone as I easily sat back in my lounge chair and enjoyed being in the woods. Ya know, it's times like these when you go back to the basics, that I truly appreciated the simple things in life. So...not having cell phone reception was a blessing in disguise...a chance for me to reset my engine and put into perspective that I was about to witness some of the tallest trees in the world! Overall, I can't recommend Grassy Flat Campground enough. It's a perfect spot to rest for the night, especially for those getting ready to start their Redwood Forest journeys (assuming they're coming from the north and headed south, lol).
