Peaceful, remote-feeling campground in a redwood forest along the Smith River. Not far from civilization, good gravel roads going in, vault toilets/picnic tables/fire rings/water. Despite its niceties, felt very isolated and Sasquatch-ish. Only downside were the mosquitoes -- there were TONS at the time of my visit, a rainy day in mid July 2015. read more
