Lone Star Ballet strives to help young dancers be their best. Their performances are amazing. We are so happy to send out daughter there.

Bailee was incredibly kind, sweet, and understanding. With that being said, my twins were signed up…read morefor a dance recital that was to take place in June. We raised the money for the recital fees and the costume fees and paid them to the studio in March. About a week after we paid for it, the girls expressed that being on stage made them uncomfortable and they didn't want to do the recital any longer, let alone even dance. Not wanting to force them, I contacted The Edge and notified them that they were dropping and we wouldn't be at the recital. They told us the fee for the costumes was non-refundable and we would be notified to pick up the costumes when they are delivered. I figured there's a chance they won't even have them until close to June so I just wait it out and give them a call in May. I leave a message. I take into consideration that they're probably swamped and wait. After the recital took place (6/1-6/2 I believe), and not hearing anything, I finally decide to message them (6/10). I figured by this point in time the dust would've settled and things would be a little less chaotic. I send a message via fb, and receive no response. By this point, I'm frustrated. I call on 6/11 and leave a firm message stating that I have reached out to them multiple times and left multiple messages regarding these costumes and that I'm frustrated with the lack of communication. This time I receive a call back. They tell me they have the costumes and I can come get them. I get to the studio and head up the stairs and the receptionist starts looking around for the costumes, goes downstairs, comes back a few minutes later and hands me two costumes of incorrect sizes. I explain that they're incorrect and my daughters wear 7/8 and she tells me to just hang on to them until she finds the right sizes. Looking back, this really didn't make sense but whatever. We go home and wait. 6/23, I get a text message that they've found the costumes and tell me I can pick them up when I can. I told them I'd be in on Tuesday, but my car ended up in the shop and it took a few days longer to get my butt in there but I finally got in on Thursday (6/27). I enter the office for the swap and they hand me two 10/12 costumes. I explain that these are way too big, and I ordered 7/8. I'm told that there's some sort of mix up and the correct sizes could be at a number of different houses and how unorganized and annoying these things are and that this isn't really his deal and he doesn't handle costumes. The director (could be owner?) was in Lubbock and would get in touch with me the following Monday. Frustrated but understanding, I leave. Two weeks pass and I again send another message expressing my frustration for the lack of communication and the runaround and ask for product or refund. They call me and say "we have two costumes that have been sitting here waiting for you" (as if I should've known they were just "waiting") and I tell them I will be in to pick them up the next day. This brings me to yesterday, 7/12. I enter the office for the third time and the first thing Joe says is "did she tell you where they are?" Which struck me as odd because he was the one who called me to tell me they were there. I see a few bags on a chair and pick them up and again, two 10/12, a 7/8, and 6x. I explain AGAIN that these are the incorrect sizes. I can take the 7/8 but none of the other ones will fit. He told to take the 7/8 and then proceeds to give me the same excuses he gave me the last time. These things are frustrating, and annoying, and the costume could be a number of places, and it's hard to get to because school is out (I have no idea how that would impact the costumes) and maybe they'll just have to see if they can reorder the costume that is missing, but Gabby (idk who this is) is in Orlando for regionals and when she gets back, she will contact me... just like she was going to contact me after the trip to Lubbock. I smile through it because I am unsurprised at this point and I leave knowing that no one is going to contact me. It's now been over a week with zero communication, again. This whole thing has been exhausting. Instead of just refunding us for the missing costume, this is getting dragged out. I understand people are busy, IM BUSY TOO. We are no less important than anyone else who purchased a costume for the recital. We just want what we paid for, but instead we've been handed excuse after excuse and placed on the back burner repeatedly. We have decided to just wash our hands of it and dispute the charge (hopefully the statute of limitations hasn't passed) through our bank. I've heard great things about this dance studio (and some not so great that we took with a grain of salt) and I'm really sad that this was our experience with them. The way this has been handled is incredibly disheartening and unprofessional. We hope no one else has the same experience we have had.

Not very organized. Not professional. Trashy people at recital. All of them save tons of seats even…read morethough they're told not to. If you say anything, you will get hit in the face. Literally. Choreography is bad. Very boring dances. No skill involved. Too expensive as well. They even make the parents pay to get into the recital. I think I paid them enough throughout the year..don't think I should have to pay to watch my kid dance. Will not be attending the Edge again. Going back to Lone star ballet or even ALT.
