The pull through spots are spacious It would be a fantastic place to take littles! Tons of things for them to do! Playground, bounce pad & indoor pool! We stayed in our rv but you can rent cabins or even stay in a covered wagon! They had patios with seating & hammocks too! Very nearby is the "Bug Ranch" where you can spray paint VWs and a variety of other things. Across the street is another activity park. We did not go but looked fun. They also have 3 dog parks. It might've been a fluke but one had several messes that were not cleaned. Could've been a visitor but that's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. Forgot to add...free shuttle to the Big Texas! We will stop again I'm sure!!

By far the worst RV park I have ever been to!…read more Our RV was overheating so we decided to park in the vacant lot across the street from the park to allow the engine/transmission to cool. (There was zero signage in the lot. Only exposed power wires). I was then subsequently illegally blocked into the parking lot by a gentleman who claimed to be the owner of "Big Texan RV Ranch" Andy. The individual refused to identify himself further and repeatedly demanded money from me in the form of cash. Andy then phoned for a worker from the park to block me into the spot. The worker from "Big Texan RV Ranch" then parked his truck on my front bumper damaging it. I had my wife and two kids in the RV at the time. The police were called and the individuals were told to leave by the police or face legal consequences. If I could give less than one star I would. Horrible place, nasty owner who likes to commit felonies. Stay far away from here! I am 100% DAV. I was in town for work and decided to stay here as it's in the heart of downtown!…read more Really cool old building with a beautiful lobby that we took advantage of for some work! Check is was amazing as the person that checked me in was lovely and friendly and gave some great recommendations for local places to eat! The room was well sized, it did have a bit of a stale sweat odor unfortunately! I am going to start traveling with my travel essential oil humidifier for this reason but it was clean and well appointed with a large window the length of the room. The room was quiet , bed was comfy and the stay was pleasant - will definitely stay here again while here for work as it's a great property and location!

The front desk staff was pretty flat about it all, stating there are no more rooms, so we were like a captive audience. Paid full price, no concessions at all, for misery during a long road trip. Really unfortunate. None of us slept well. When we woke and quickly left in the morning, the hallway was at least 10 degrees cooler than our room. Honestly, don't sell the room (or at least discount it) if it's that bad and you know it! No continental or provided breakfast either. You can buy breakfast from a "cafe". For over $200 for one night. We could have stayed anywhere else, we should have, but we didn't know the room condition until we had all our things in the room and it was 11:00 at night already. Certainly our bad for not just leaving, but my experience is my experience, so here we are. Giving 2 stars for the beds being somewhat comfy; if the A/C worked and the cot was not broken (and they knew it), it would be higher.

Breakfast was more than a lot of places, offered typical continental stuff plus scrambled eggs, potatos, sausage patties and Starbucks coffee. And donuts for the kids. Has a small playground in the lobby and supposedly putt putt around the fountain but I didn't look for clubs or anything. And an indoor pool. All good things for traveling with kids. The bad: Definitely somewhat run down but not horrid., the pool however was oddly cloudy looking. Not sure why although both kids and adults used it freely. There seemed to be a lack of towels, everyone seemed to think they were there at the pool but there were none and no one seemed too know where they were so we finally found a nice cleaning lady to give us a room towel. My biggest complaint was that the AC in the room was an old unit, tucked into the alcove by the bathroom and just could not cool the room well. It tried all night but just couldn't get down to a comfortable sleeping level. However it is blazing hot in Texas and it was still managing a cool-ish temp If you go in expecting an older place that will make the kids happy and not be super expensive or uncomfortable for the adults, you will be just fine.

The front desk staff were polite and courteous, although they looked completely exhausted. At check-in, instead of key cards, we were handed a card with our room number (313) and a handwritten 4-digit code to unlock the room. Right away, there were red flags. The elevator closest to the entrance was out of service with an "I want a little me time" sign taped to it, forcing us to walk all the way across the building to use another elevator. Once on the third floor, Room 313 required another long U-turn walk down worn, dirty hallways. Before even reaching the room, the hallways were in terrible condition. Construction debris, cement material, cracked walls, and a pervasive foul odor made the building feel neglected. The smell was so strong it seemed to cling to your clothes. Then we opened the room door. The room looked absolutely nothing like the photos online. Nearly everything appeared damaged or worn out--the chair, desk, lamp, walls, ceiling, blinds, and bathroom. The bathtub looked filthy, and the overall condition suggested years of deferred maintenance. The most shocking discovery was large dried boogers smeared on the framed artwork hanging on the wall. At that point, we knew we could not stay there. To make matters worse, the hotel's automatic entrance doors later stopped working, so guests--including families with children--had to enter and exit through the attached 21-and-over bar. We checked out less than five minutes after entering the room and immediately found another hotel. Paying approximately $170 per night for a property in this condition is simply unacceptable. I took photos documenting everything I've described because the online pictures do not accurately represent the property's current condition. Unless the hotel undergoes a major renovation and dramatically improves its cleanliness and maintenance, I cannot recommend staying here.

Everyone was exhausted from the long drive prior. The room (204) does NOT have a couch. We had to request a cot, and that cot was broken so much so only a person the size of a 5 year old child would actually be able to sleep on it; the springs were disconnected from one side of the frame entirely. The person who was using the cot ended up having to sleep on the floor due to their feet or head falling through the hole created from the broken springs. The worst part: the AC in 204 is broken. In Texas summer, this is a no-go. However, we were told there were "no more rooms." For $260+ for one night, and as a Marriott member, this particular location will not be getting my business again. There are too many options for hotels around here; if we weren't exhausted and already in the room just for a quick "nap" before we continue a long drive, we would have left. The room itself, while very warm, is decent quality; expected for a Courtyard by Marriott. Shame the experience wasn't restful or pleasant.
