What I loved was that their price was in the middle of all the ones that I called, but most importantly came with twice as many workers & they did not charge for packing up the boxes I did not get to! As of February 2026, H-town movers provided 4 movers for $155/hr , with a $120 one time fee that covered the truck & travel. That is all i was charged! (They have a minimum of 2 hrs, but anything after that, they only charge at 15 minute intervals). I provided the boxes, tape, and paper-- you can get their packaging packet, but I found all of my stuff cheaper & they used the kitchen towels, wash rags etc that i left out for them also! However, they do provide unlimited plastic wrap & moving blankets to wrap up all furniture. They were very careful packing up all my fragile items (large dresser mirrors, China plates, mugs etc). I was very relieved with their detail to that . They were extremely efficient (did not purposely "dilly dally" to rack up hours) and had a great attitude the entire time! I could hear them singing or telling jokes to each other, which helped relieve a little bit of my stress by creating such a pleasant atmosphere. They were also extremely kind with our toddler running around. I did not have to micromanage them at all. The only thing I did have to remind now and then was if a certain section was going in storage or to our new moving location. They did not charge for making 2 stops. At the first stop, they would ask where we wanted the box or furniture item, and they happily brought it to whichever location. They do not charge for stairs, which is nice. They were also extremely efficient in packing up the storage unit where we had a ton of space left over! i would highly recommend this company & their movers and I would definitely use them in the future! Having more hands on board at a very reasonable price helped get everything done in one day and in a shorter time span than I had anticipated!

If I hadn't stopped them, I would've ended up with a stranger's items. They also lost my $900 KitchenAid mixer and my air fryer as a small cake business these items were crucial . Their initial compensation offer was $23. After six months of haggling and constant follow-ups, they finally offered $123. I was exhausted and just took it to be done. To top it off, this was a Texas-to-Florida move, and they were extremely vague about when my belongings would actually arrive. No clear delivery day, no transparency--just stress and uncertainty. If you value your belongings or your time, please do not use this company. A good first impression means nothing when they can't keep track of your property or communicate honestly.

Everything was already packed and most items were disassembled, with the exception of one bed and an entertainment center. All belongings were staged in one easily accessible area, ready to be loaded. My new home is only 11 minutes away, yet it took a team of three movers over 5 hours, nearly 6, to complete the move. To put that into perspective, I've used movers before with fewer people and a much longer drive of about 45 minutes, and they still completed the entire move in under 3 hours. There was nothing efficient or "graceful" about this experience. The excessive amount of time it took is completely unacceptable, especially given how prepared everything was. To make matters worse, I still have to reassemble my furniture myself. At the pace they were moving, I can only imagine how much longer it would have taken if they had done it. Overall, I feel taken advantage of and would not use or recommend this company.

In the end, it was Square Cow's overly confident answering service that convinced me to go with them. Big mistake. I hired them to move a large bedroom set from a second-floor bedroom to the garage--something I clearly communicated was not a simple task. I had over four phone calls, sent multiple photos, and explicitly discussed the risks and challenges involved. Each time, I was told everything was "in the notes" and the movers would be properly equipped with straps and the right tools. I even spoke directly with the operations manager the day before the move. He reassured me--again--that his crew would be fully prepared. He even advised me not to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was an easy job and not worth the extra cost. Then moving day arrived. The crew showed up completely unprepared. No straps. No proper equipment. Within minutes, they dropped the first piece of furniture, severely damaging it. The rest of the move was borderline reckless. The crew themselves admitted that Square Cow doesn't provide them with tools or care about their safety--or the customers' belongings. According to them, "Square Cow only cares about making money." After my experience, I believe it. I filed a damage claim, and now I'm stuck in their slow, unresponsive process that may take up to 90 days to maybe--maybe--get a fraction of what the damage is worth. Bottom line: they talk a good game on the phone, but they have zero follow-through. The left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and they clearly don't equip their crews to do the job safely or professionally. Their so-called claims department is a joke. Don't fall for the sales pitch. There are better, more honest companies out there. Square Cow Movers is not one of them.

After I drove out based on that confirmation, they cancelled last-minute, then arrived nearly 30 minutes late the next morning. During the second visit one of the drivers made an inappropriate comment to my wife while she was outside alone. Whatever he meant, it was unprofessional and made her uncomfortable. When I contacted the company about the missed appointments and the comment, they first claimed it was "late notice," even though the texts clearly show they accepted the time. They then became defensive instead of apologizing or taking responsibility. I even offered to settle it privately with a small goodwill refund, which they refused. Their final message to me actually said, "If you think that a bad review would fix everything then that's your will." That tells you everything you need to know about their attitude toward customers. The piano was moved, but professionalism, honesty, and accountability were missing from start to finish. Future customers deserve to know what kind of communication and behavior to expect.
