There were markers every few yards however, but there were other trails branching off of this trail that were very tempting and made me a bit confused. This hike did NOT have a gentle incline and there were many steepness changes as I continued down the trail. I did not complete this hike as I was coming from Big Horn Trail and Jack Rabbit Trail on the same day and I was already walking for hours and I was tired. Luckily, this particular trail CAN end quite conveniently at the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage which happens to be one of my favorite locations in all of the Coachella Valley. Btw... you don't have to be a guest of the Ritz Carlton to get free bottled water... (pro tip) ;- Overall, I would highly recommend the Chuckwalla Trail to anyone visiting Palm Springs who loves hiking and wants to experience the beauty of desert landscapes. Just be sure to bring plenty of water and sun protection, especially during the hotter months. Trust me, you won't regret it!

It was the best decision I made!! The first day he took us on an amazing 4-hour hike inside the park, he showed us all of the extraordinary sites and also educated us about the very complex geological history of the park. On the 2nd day, he took us mountain climbing, which was the highlight of our trip!! Ethan's kind, encouraging and wise nature helped my son and I accomplish mountain climbing feats we thought were impossible! I HIGHLY recommend Ethan's services for anyone visiting Joshua Tree! The guided tours we took with him really made our trip adventurous, fun, educational and very memorable! Ethan has been guiding for many years and has a real passion for what he does! He's one of the BEST guides I have worked with!

He took us to beautiful parts of the park that we would never have found on our own. We are in our late sixties and hike regularly. Ethan designed a route that was a good match for our abilities; some elevation gain, walking up and over granite faces and between boulders. He was there to provide help if we needed but was also willing to let us sort out our footing on our own. He regularly checked in to see how we were feeling about the route. As we walked, he gave us a lot of information about the geology, plants and history of the park and answered all of our questions. I wI'll definitely book another adventure with him on my next visit to the park.

BEST WEDDING VENUE EVER!…read more My husband and I dreamed of a wedding where everyone could stay together onsite, immersed in nature, with no worries about driving after a night of fun, and Camp Osito Rancho made that dream a reality. Our families stayed in the health center, lodge, and electrified cabins, while our friends embraced the adventure of summer cabins and tents. The venue offers so many stunning spaces, from the spacious dining hall for meals to the stage/amphitheater with fire pits--perfect for s'mores and late-night stories. We exchanged vows at the top of a hill near the outdoor pavilion, with a gorgeous backdrop of pine trees and a view of Big Bear Lake in the distance. We were able to offer our guests camp activities like archery and a pool day, as well as had room to setup other activities like craft tables and lawn games. The biggest perk was the complete freedom to choose our own vendors, allowing us to create a truly personalized experience (huge shoutout to Scratch Kitchen for catering--our guests still rave about the food). We spent a year making signs, collecting décor, buying solar lights, and crafting to transform this Girl Scout camp into a full-blown wedding festival. If you're up for planning the details, this venue is the ultimate blank canvas. Last but not least, the Camp Osito Rancho team is absolutely amazing. A huge thanks to Angel for her help throughout the year, Ryan for his help throughout the weekend, and to Gerardo for the tour that sold us from the start. For a wedding that feels like an unforgettable getaway, this place is pure magic

He is an amazing man and is so full of knowledge. He gave our girls ample opportunity to ask questions, told them all about the different types of windmills, talked about their impact, and even told them about careers in the industry! We definitely recommend this tour for EVERY troop that is going through the Breathe journey. You won't find a better expert than Ken, anywhere!
