Hundreds of Hops US Hop Passport Amazing Brewery Race Stop 12 - 5 of 11 for Nebraska. This one was a bit off the beaten path for us but we're thrilled we stopped in! On arrival, there wasn't anyone in the main office / tasting area but there were instructions on how to reach them as they were on the grounds. It wasn't necessary tho, as they popped in while we were still orienting ourselves. We showed the passport and said we weren't sure what it was good for here, (other distilleries offer cocktails as bogo in the passport but this isn't a bar-style... turns out it's bogo tastings) We sampled a fair amount, chatted about our mutual love of travel &, of course, booze. There were products we weren't familiar with, such as vodka from grapes & blue corn whiskey - we bought both, as well as a lovely brandy & angry squirrel walnut liqueur, which we're excited to turn into something fun. We spent a fabulous afternoon with Ryan and tasted some his very creative and expertly distilled spirits. His passion for the process and perfection is contagious and shows in every one of his bottles. We had the pleasure of visiting his still, witnessing the process and of course, tasting the greatness! Our liquor cabinet now holds the finest (and only) Chokecherry Brandy I've ever tasted, Milo Whiskey that we'd never heard of and of course the Grape Vodka that will be sipped with joy! He's doing absolutely amazing things with the local ingredients and I can't wait to get my hands on a bottle of his absinthe! read more

Had the pleasure of trying the products at SIP Nebraska (Mahoney State Park) I am not a big fan of whiskey because of the burn, but the Angry Squirrel whiskey was so smooth and there was absolutely no burn and the flavor is not at all what I was expecting since it is made with Black Walnuts. Will definitely be ordering more. read more

My family and I were on a family vacation and went out of our way to check out Long Dogs. We found out about them from the SIP festival in Omaha and loved their products. The owners daughter gave us a quick tour, samples of whatever we wanted to try, and I was happy to spend a decent amount of money on the whiskey and their amazing black walnut liqueur. I got to bottle and label my whiskey also. As a whisky lover I have recommended this place to everyone I know in the Omaha area. It's worth a half days drive to check out. I hope this place continues to grow but love the small town charm and can't wait for some of the fruited brandies that I saw in the barrels to come out. Please patronize this place to ensure it stays open. Also their products are available in some Omaha stores now so check it out you won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped at the distillery for a small tour and a tasting. Oh my goodness, what a great experience. Ryan was super fun and personable. His spirits are award winning. We ended up buying a few different bottles as we couldn't chose just one or two. We even got the bourbon out of the barrel. Well worth the trip. read more
