Most disrespectful woman ever manages here and would not honor a rain check after getting stormed on hole eight- paid for eighteen riding. Said she wasn't going to honor it since we didn't come inside right when it started raining and sat in our cars for 15 minutes. If I could give a ZERO Star rating I would. Extremely unprofessional and rude service from the woman working the register. I paid for 18 holes 2 weeks ago and unfortunately it rained. Per usual my friends and I went inside to get our Rain Check for 9 HOLES after finishing the front 9. The gentleman was very nice and understanding this day and gave us all a 9 HOLE RAIN CHECK. So fast forward 2 weeks I go to use my 9 HOLE rain check and they tell me I have to buy another 9 holes in order to use it. Meaning I would have to pay for 27 Holes to play the original 18 I paid for 2 weeks prior. I have played golf for 20 years and never heard of such thing. When I questioned the gentleman another woman who seemed to be in charge took over and was extremely unpleasant. She told me I got a "discounted price" the day I got the rain check because apparently the "back 9 is cheaper than the front 9 - so I only got charged $40 instead of $60." Which is not true at all because my card was never refunded for the 9 holes I didn't play after paying for 18. I explained that I could show her my bank and prove that I was not refunded. Then she questioned me if it even rained the day I got the rain check calling me a liar. Didn't know rain checks were given out for Sunshine! They didn't let me play because I wouldn't pay 27 holes. The starter was insanely rude. We went in the pro shop at the turn to go to the bathroom and to cool off after being outside in 95 degree heat. 5 minutes later we come back out to the 10th hole to start the back 9 and the starter drives up to us and tries to tell us we're holding up the other golfers and he threatened to kick us out. Granted there was NO ONE waiting behind us to play. Old guy must've not had anything better to do than sit on a golf course and be a jerk to all the golfers. Definitely never going back. read more

Horrible management/customer service! Spoke with someone in order to make sure there were no tournaments/events going on since they don't take reservations. Was told to come on in/we're good. Showed up with my playing partner, only to find out there was a tournament. No wonder they're rated one of the worst public courses in Sumner County. read more

We were visiting Nashville and looking for a decent public course to play. This Fun golf course but a little high on the green fees. The weekend rate was $42 for 18 holes with a cart. The front nine has some trees lining the fairways which can pose some threats for a decent second shot. The back nine contains a lot of water hazards but can be avoided with good control of the short irons. Not too much elevation change which was nice since we played on a course in the hills on the day prior. The staff in the pro shop were friendly but there is not much to offer as far as merchandise. Electric golf carts were nice. Overall I would definitely recommend this course for those looking for a relaxed round that typically play courses in the 20-30 dollar per round range. Just be ready to pay a few more dollars. read more

Went this past Friday after already paying for 18 holes, There was a line of 20 carts on the first hole. This was around 2pm and they wouldnt let anybody tee off on back nine. You had several singles and doubles playing instead of matching them together. there was no ranger going around to help speed thing s up. After 3 hrs we finally got done with just the front nine which is absolutely insane. No way we could even play back nine as it was already back up with 12 carts this was at 5pm. Unprofessional and not worth ever coming back too. read more

The course is not the issue. The fact that you cannot set a tee time, and show up to play at that time is ridiculous. The course has zero management, you are told to just show up and wait in line at the first hole. Pairing is up to the players to make 4, which no one does, so you have groups of 2 old guys going by themselves. There will be anywhere from 1-10 groups sitting there watching, then eagerly hitting right after you on hole #1. There are plenty of employees at this course, stick a Marshall at the first hole so that a pace can be established. It is not that hard to adopt a tee time policy, and establish times that are consistent, especially on a busy Friday. read more

Worst interaction I have ever had with a cashier at any course ever . Rude to people in line in front of me as well as myself. Seemed to be upset in general. Seemed to get worse when I paid with a debit card instead of cash ,wonder why ? Waited on every tee box for sometimes 5 minutes. We are waiting on 8 tee box when the rude guy from the pro shop drives by and stops and asks when our tee time was ,looks through our cart , ( even though we bought beer at the course), and tells us we are playing slow! HA !! We were the third group of 4 on that particular hole , 1 on green ,1 on fairway , us on the tee, and a group waiting behind us. What a joke . My playing partner spent upwards of 100$ on balls and gear,paid,then went to buy beer at the snack bar. All.this guy said was you should have paid for.this all.at once ,even though there are 2 separate areas for these purchases. Guess he didn't like ringing up 2 transactions. The rest of the staff seemed okay but a little short and not very friendly. The course was decent except for the rough was almost 100% crab grass which was.One of the main reasons for pace of play. Long Hollow has discontinued their long standard twilight rate of $25 for all you play in the late afternoons. Additionally, they have recently experience scalding of their greeens due to drainage issue where approx 50-80 % of the green surface is dirt. They should at least communicate the green situation in advance so a golfer can determine if they still want to pay full price for a course where you are unable to put on any of the greens. Fairways still in good shape and they have taken the water coolers off the course due to Covid- so make sure you bring your own water. Several lower cost golf courses in the area that are a better option than Long Hollow under current conditions read more

Public golf course and affordable rates. I think the weekday rates are $20 for 9 holes and $35 for 18 holes. Weekend rates are about $5 more and these prices include carts. You only need a tee time scheduled for weekends and the course is about as nice as it gets to be a public course. Unfortunately it costs about as much as a private course. It's walking distance from my house so I don't mind playing here. The driving range is $3 per small bucket and the setup is nice overall. It's worth playing here and I'll be back often. My favorite thing here is that there's not too many hills like the rest of the local course so a +20 handicap player like myself will get less frustrated playing here. The carts are nice and electric so that's always a plus when you don't smell like a landscaper in cheap exhaust hah. I give it five stars overall. If the price were about $5 cheaper then I would be Blackmore often. read more

Long hollow has simply amazing holes. The pace of play is always spot on. The holes have many obstacles like divots and uncut rough. If your in the rough it adds the extra challenge of hitting out of cottage cheese but that just separates the boys from men. The greens are superb it adds the challenge of putting on fairways mixed with putting on the lawn. It's just simply amazing read more

If you need a golf course that is close to home and you live in Gallatin, Long Hollow is a go to course. Beyond that the staff are less than friendly, the greens are horrible, and the fairways are ok some of the time. If you walk it's not bad, but if you need a cart it may or may not be charged enough to get you through 9 holes of golf much less 18. Of course it depends on when you go. The practice putting green and chipping green are in good shape. The driving range is usually not too crowded. If you don't want high etiquette , want to meet some great people from around the area, and want to enjoy a nice course design I would recommend Long Hollow. If we want outsiders to view our city course in a more favorable view then Gallatin needs to put some money in their course and advise the staff to treat their guests with a friendly smile. read more

I have played several times here, the greens have always been well kept, the fairways in the spring have been shy of grass in places, but around mid-june they are fine. For the money, it is a fine course, just don't drive your cart into the rough, #$%##^&%, I have seen them get irate at some people. read more
