It's a rare thing to find an old-fashioned shoe cobbler. If you're like me you know how hard it is to find shoes you love and even harder to find a shop to help you maintain them. I consider myself lucky that I found this shop and that I can get the services I need. The owner has always taken such good care of me. I have taken my shoes in to be repaired and polished so they always look brand new. Just FYI this shop is only open Monday to Friday and closed Saturday and Sunday.

The best shoe repair I have ever had. He has even replaced the entire heel of shoes that my dogs have chewed up and helped restore many of my leather boots and they look brand spankin new. Sometimes I never hear back when they are finished so I make sure to call and check in. read more

This is one of the only shoe repair places in the Wilmington area. The owner was very nice and was willing to keep my shoes for as long as needed, since I don't live nearby. I have not picked them up yet, but will update this review at that time. Small, abit hard to find, business across the parking lot from Gabes. read more

I brought in a couple pairs of shoes that I thought were beyond saving, and I was proven wrong. Quick turnaround time - I brought them in in a Friday and they were ready on Wednesday. An easy five star review for this place. I have a pair of 14-15 year old Aerostitch street motorcycle boots that had worn smooth and hardened soles. While debating on buying new boots, the reality was that these are fine, just need new soles. I know I got lucky by coming to Long Leaf Shoe Repair for the fix. - Very reasonable cost -Faster than expected date for pickup -Ready as scheduled. - Perfect replacement job. They are friendly & reasonably priced. Josh is a miracle worker. While I missed my favorite shoes (it took 2 weeks; they're busy), it was worth it. To replace them would have cost me 3x as much, plus they are already broken in & ready to go. I'd definitely bring all my shoes here if/when they need repairs. read more

You'd be surprised what the owner of this business can do to a pair of shoes. I've had sandal straps repaired, boots and shoes re-resoled, and shoes just generally made to look brand new. This is always my first option for any sort of repair and more often than not the owner can fix anything I bring in. read more

Had an old pair of Florsheim imperials needing soles and heels. Not only did he replace both, he repaired several places where the stitching was coming undone, without being asked. The shoes look like new. WELL DONE. read more

A friend recommended this shoe repair shop to me. Its a little tough to find, being a small shop, but worth it. I had a pair of sandals that the elastic at the ankle strap had given out. The gentleman in the shop told be it would be no problem, it is a common occurrence. I left them on a Monday, returned on Friday for them. They look as good as new, I was delighted. I was ready to trash my beloved boat shoes as they had been through all sorts of environments, attested to by the state of the leather. Now that I'm in a decent sized city I thought perhaps there would be a place to restore them to their former glory (hey, they're still so comfortable!). Located Longleaf through YELP and went there although it was a bit of a challenge to find them. Skinny door with very large "Shoe Repair" sign above, tucked in between 2 larger businesses. I think I probably passed it twice. At any rate, dropped off the shoes and picked them up about a week later looking nearly brand new! read more

INCREDIBLE WORK!! It's a tiny little hole in the wall spot, but wow they did such a good job!! I was only in town for a few months for work and used Yelp to find this place. 10/10 recommend. The stitching and sole on my Madewell leather boots I'd had for 8 years started to fall apart and now they're good as new. I even brought my other pair of boots to get cleaned up and restitched since the first pair were done SO WELL!! read more

I was very surprised when he scolded me, saying something very close to this, "You were supposed to get this on one ticket! We can't help you! Bring your stuff somewhere else and get out of here." He then threw my stuff at me. I was speechless and just walked out the door without saying anything. I was totally patient and professional the entire time. This is not the way to treat any customer, let alone a repeat customer. It's sad because he does good work but I don't have the time or desire to put up with businesses that are rude for no reason to their customer. I'll be going elsewhere in the future.
