However when I was getting dressed to do an exam he and his team made jokes about my issues and laughed loudly about Sean saying "I have to give a rectal exam" and one of the male nurses that took a stool sample from me said. "Did anyone get the shit from the toilet" and they all laughed when I confronted Sean and a couple of nurses about their behavior one of the nurses talked back to me and tried to deny their behavior. Sean was apologetic and said he would talk to his team however he was the one who really set the tone of how they were all acting. This is already a super embarrassing issue to have and I went home in tears. I would not recommend this emergency room

Before we even arrived at this facility staff reached out to us, administration returned calls and accommodated special requests. Everything about this facility screams WE CARE. The staff- from nurses, aids, doctors , dietitian, physical and occupational therapy to lunch room helpers were all genuinely helpful, kind and quick to respond. it is obvious the building maintenance staff take pride in their work. everything from floors and coffee pots to patient rooms was clean and in working order. we broke a blind in our room and maintenance fixed it the same day, they inquired if there was anything else at all that needed attention. Just one last shout out to the nursing assistants who smiled, visited and laughed with us every time they entered the room- even through bouts of very frequent diarrhea. Not once did we feel like a burden to staff and anyone who has needed long term cares knows what a HUGE difference that makes in your day.

First impression of their tour was Northern was clean, modern, and operated in a very friendly, professional manner. Now, after many weeks we can report this place was the right choice. These people are supposed to be in healthcare -- they should be caring. No wonder this place is going under. if I could give -20 stars I would. let me give the detailed run down of my experience: -I went in with a medical issue that seemed like it could be something neurological , maybe a stroke, brain tumor, or some kind of nerve inflammation. I was having balance issues ( a symptom) , I had to be wheeled in the room and a nurse came in to hook me up to the IV, take my temperature, and all that. She was really rude! I tried to some light conversation, crack a few jokes, but they mostly ignored me.Every nurse provided "care" were super rude and neglectful!. Once, I had to use the restroom, so I asked for assitance since I was Hooked to an IV and was still having blanace issues and no one came for about 10 min. We had to ask TWICE! Another time, my husband was watching a TikTok video (Steveioe), but it sounded like it was coming from the next room so I joked and asked if it was actually Steve next door (I thought that'd be kind of cool) and the nurse replied, "NOW you're hallucinating?" I couldn't tell if it was sarcasm. These people can't take a joke! and definitely weren't taking my problems seriously. She sounded like she was accusing me of making up my symptoms. The first time I saw the doctor (she was skinny, had glasses, and brown hair slicked back in a bun), they wouldn't tell me her name. She talked down to me, and when I explained my symptoms, she acted like I was making them up. She was really condescending. I suddenly started to spasm. It was new, so I was a little worried. The nurses completely ignored it until I finally asked if there was anything they could give me to help. They gave me a low dose of Valium, but again, they acted like I was there because of a drug problem. I only asked because it helped calm my leg spasm. I figured they'd give me a muscle relaxer or something. They did a CT scan and an MRI on my brain (both came back clean, so at least there was some good news there!) But since I was still having symptoms, I was waiting for the doctor (same one) to either run more tests, refer me to a specialist, prescribe something, or at least give me some advice or a referral to someone who could help. The issue could have been my nerves?? She didn't do ANY of that. Instead, she suggested... Ibuprofen. IBUPROFEN. Like, what?! When I called her out on it (okay, I admit my tone wasn't great, but I didn't curse her out or anything), she got mad and just walked away while I was trying to talk to her about MY HEALTH. This was the worst experience I have ever had in ANY PLACE. IBUPROFEN?!?! WHICH MEDICAL SCHOOL ALLOWED YOU TO GET A LICENSE ARE THEY THAT DESPERATE??!!

No one wants t visit a hospital for themselves, but having nice new ones in their medical coverage,…read morecloser than the flagship facility an hour from home, is a real convenience. Many diagnostic tests have to be done in a hospital setting. State of the art equipment and well trained personnel is paramount. The radiology group here was all of this. The facility is too. We have used this hospital for many diagnostics and a few surgeries. For those of us who use UCH exclusively, this place cuts the drive time to only half of what it is if using University hospital facilities at Anschutz from a home in Boulder. We are happy when we can make that choice. But sometimes, Anschutz may be the only option. And that has proven valuable to me. Always make sure the facility you choose is in your insurance network. It's how the medical world works, though emergency services should always be the closest available and are often covered anyway. Just be sure to get the best coverage you can afford. I was in and out in under an hour and follow through available within the day.
