While she isn't quite fluent in English, she can communicate well enough and will cut your hair however you'd like. The difference between this place and other salons/barbershops is the attention to detail and time that she spends on each customer's haircut. Even with multiple customers waiting, she does not sacrifice on quality or rush through any customers like some other places I've been. I can honestly say that every time I go, I am happy with the amount of detail and time she spends on my haircut (I have a thick head of hair). Washing hair is $2 extra. Tip is not expected but appreciated. The waiting area is not big, 2 couches and a few chairs. There's a TV with antenna stations and Xfinity WiFi nearby.

But despite having 5 chairs, only the owner is cutting hair right now... so the wait was a bit long. As I waited I met at least 5 customers who came in after me just to say hi - They've been going to Jackson's at his old location for 10+ years. I've never seen such barber loyalty! Jackson has been cutting hair for decades at his old location, and he'll tell you all about some of his more famous customers if you ask him. When it was my turn we talked sports and current events while he cut my hair. It looked fantastic, and my girlfriend (my most important critic) loved it as well. A solid first impression. Firstly this dude charged me 30 dollars for a cut. And didn't listen to a single thing I requested from him to make sure my hairline wasn't messed with. I told him to use hold spray for my front taper BEFORE he lowers is with the guard. And he does the complete opposite of it. This dude then proceeds to push my hairline back after I gave him a guideline to not cross when he's shaping it up. He pushed back most of my taper and tried to charge me 30 dollars for that? NAH. This is the second time I've been to major cuts. Both times it was some dude that smelled like black n mild, likely high, having shivering hands while they are shaping me up. Never going to this place again.
