Look What I Can Do Learning Center is a great environment. The director, Theresa is energetic, loving, and a great educator. The staff is just as wonderful. Prior to enrolling our daughter, the first thing we noticed was the center is extremely clean, very organized, and the children are well cared for. As first time parents, we remember being so nervous about leaving our daughter with someone other than family but the director took the time to text us updates and photos daily until we felt comfortable. This is the type of service you will receive and it's comforting to know the director understood our concerns. In addition, our daughter wears glasses and has asthma which requires more attention than your average toddler... the staff and director do a great job of making sure her glasses are never smudged and her inhaler is administered correctly. If you have a child with similar health related issues, I would not hesitate to worry about this here. In addition, they've made potty training almost seamless! I can assure you - your child will thrive at this learning center. Our daughter comes home and is excited to share what she learned. The center provides a daily report in conjunction to a monthly calendar full of daily activities (reading, writing exercises, playground visits, community walks, arts and crafts, field trips, etc). In addition to the regular day-to-day learning, a music teacher comes to the center every Friday for singing/instrument playing. If your child's birthday is coming up, just know birthday parties are always welcomed at the center. Overall, this place has become like a second family to us and our daughter. She is loved here and it's evident in the way she is eager to go to school. When the time comes to move our daughter to pre-k, we will be very sad to leave. As for now, we will continue to travel a little out of our way so our child can receive the quality attention, love, and education at Look What I Can Do. I did a lot of crying as I frantically(yes it was this dramatic) searched for childcare so I could go to work in the city until finally I looked across the street from my home(duh) and found Look! what I can do( THE NAME FITS PERFECTLY!). As soon as I walked in the door I knew that this was going to be my son's new home away from home. The place was clean! organized! HIGH TECH! top of the line care. I didn't think I was going to be able to afford it, for all you get there, but I think you should just stop looking now and go check the place out. The price is great! the hours are great! And let me tell you, I have made some good friends in that place. My son has never been so happy! He is cared for! he is LOVED! and they spend all day learning new things. Totally randomly at home my son goes "show me happy(smiles) Show me sad(made a pouty face)show me ANGRY(mad face) show me surprise!(big eyes and jumps back) then repeated it ten times. Seems like all the time he is coming home and showing me everything he learns and thats a great feeling to know that my money isn't being wasted and that my kid is really learning! It makes me feel good while I work, not guilty or sad that I can't be there with him. I want him there. 3 years old. in one month here he learned....all the letters of the alphabet. the sounds they make and what they look like BIG and small. How to relate them to words. They all march to the potty, and he now does at home. They go to the park and take tons of pictures all day and post them so at work I get to see what he is doing! They do art projects everyday! My favorite part is the Music guy they have come in on Fridays to show the children all about music and different cultures and types of instruments. They make everything fun and positive for the kids there and he pronounces his L so much better and his vocabulary is stretched so far. I am so grateful for every one of the staff here. They are the best. My son and I are both very blessed to have enrolled here. read more

Where do I even begin. When I started to look for daycares last summer, I knew what I was looking for. I wanted my son to go to a good school that is clean, communicative, tech savvy, and above all challenging. Throughout my search, I spotted a banner hanging outside a building that said LOOK WHAT I CAN DO LEARNING CENTER! I googled the business, checked out the website, and actually liked the website. Shortly after, I called to schedule an appointment. In the meantime, I toured other learning centers and daycares. However, this one stood out. I visited the center about 3 times before I made a decision. Whenever I had a question, I would email the center and would get a response right away. At anytime I walk in, they are doing activities or enjoying a walk to the park. They have had picnics, celebrated Chinese New Year, and have pizza parties!!! The staff is AMAZING. When a child gets hurt, they contact the parents right away!!!! I mean the work ethic and teamwork is incredible. The director is very knowledgeable and resourceful!! They care for the children. The center has the best quality furniture and toys. This is definitely NOT a daycare but an actual Learning Center. My favorite activity has been seeing the children explore the life cycle of a butterfly. They had real caterpillars, watched them make cocoons, and turn into butterflies. The kids were fascinated. As an educator and mother, I want the best education for my son. The staff is great with the kids. I had my son go partially and enrolled him full-time because when I would take him, he would tell me: " Mommy, I love my school. Thank you so much!." I knew that he loved it. At this point I'm not sure if he loves it more or I do. By far, enrolling my son in this learning center has been the best decision I've ever made. read more

In my search for the best Daycare for my daughter, I looked at so many places but none caught my attention or made a good impression. That very moment that i walked into Look What I Can Do. My first impression was "wow this place really smells great. I knew immediately that they were very clean. I then looked at the sorroundings and was very very pleased at what i saw. As soon as i looked into one of the rooms, not only was it visually attractive for the children but also i realized the interaction that the staff had with the children. I knew instantly my child was in a safe learning environment. Day care and pre school rolled into one! My daughter is learning so much daily. To see her unfold before my eyes and coming home with new things that she has learned, from the basic ABCs and 123s to learning her full name and birthday to me is AMAZING!!! Every Friday they have a music teacher come to the day care and the children dance, sing and participate in playing the instrument of the day. They get the Police and Firemen come to show their cars and trucks and talk to the children about their job. In the summers they do this activity called Canvas in the park which is totally adorable because they get to color while in the park. I can say many positive things about this daycare because I can guarantee you that this is a safe, fun and loving haven for your children. We enrolled our daughter from ages 1.5 until 3 years old after looking at what seemed like 100 other nearby schools. We currently live in Guttenberg. The only reason we left the Center was due to the birth of our 2nd child and the need to be closer to home. We regret leaving! Look What I Can Do really feels like a family, starting with the Director, Theresa Martinez. She's incredibly responsive and genuinely cares about the well being of the kids. Our daughter started in the "baby" room and graduated into the 2nd level and finally into the 3rd level. Along the way each set of teachers and aides were fantastic, very warm, and candid in their communication. Above all else, our daughter enjoyed going to school and became good friends with most of the kids. Her development has been fantastic, being able to sing new songs, count, learn her colors and shapes, and a long list of other things. If you're looking for a place where your kid will grow and develop their personality and identity, while having FUN and learning to be inquisitive, this is the Center for you. Other schools are either too rigid (no fun allowed) or don't focus on learning (simply a daycare). Look What I Can Do strikes a phenomenal balance and it's been a joy being a part of this community. This place is amazing! I was very conflicted about moving my son to a new daycare center because I didn't want to disrupt his routine but I am so happy that we made the decision to enroll him at Look! It was the best decision we have ever made. Our son isn't even 2 years old yet and he has learned so much here. His vocabulary is growing day by day and he can count to 20. He gets to create art projects that focus on the week's lesson and he gets to end the week dancing to new music with the music teacher. It's great - he's learning and having fun at the same time! Terri and Amarylis and the staff are incredible. Everyone is so welcoming and makes you feel like family. Terri is a true educator. She is so passionate about the learning center and focused on the educational and personal development of every child at the center. One look around the center and you can see all the effort they have put into fun and creative activities, toys and educational tools that every young thriving child needs. My son truly loves it here. Watching his little face light up with excitement when he is in the center learning something new is the best feeling in the world as a parent. It has been 1 month since we've enrolled our 1yr old son and we are ecstatic with his progress. This is truly a learning center where they work on multiple projects daily and even have a letter and color of the week. The walls and ceilings are filled with the childrens work and I work close by and don't even have to come and check on him, I can just log on to Facebook and pictures are loaded daily. We absolutely love the staff and so does our son. What is most important and special about this place is the Director Terry. She has an enormous amount of accollades, certifications and knowledge in Early Childhood Education. After diligently reviewing and visiting other so called "Learning Centers" we were sold on Look What I Can Do after just the first few minutes. Look What I Can Do is also very affordable, have great hours and have their own unloading zone. Also, they visit the park which is around the corner and have "Mr. P" visit every friday with multiple musical instruments. My son is now a dancing machine, eats with a fork, tries to pee in the toilet (lol) among a ton of other things. I strongly reccommend visiting Look What I Can Do as it is a great foundation for kids. My review does not give this place enough justice. read more

As a first time mom and not knowing what to expect leaving my newborn with strangers, the level of relief given from the first day by the director and staff of Look What I Can Do! Learning Center was exceptional! My daughter now 6 months going to 7 months shows her happiness to be there by demonstrating her large dippled smile. (My daughter has been there since she was 3 months) The individual attention given to each child regardless of age shows the passionate love for children and I'm sure any parent that loves their child as much as I love mine would appreciate these qualities from a facility especially since this would be their home away from home. The fact that I have people expressing "Wow your daughter's how old and she's already doing that!" shows that even a baby can gain great skills with Look What I Can Do! Learning Center. Coming from a state which I consider home has made it difficult to adapt here in New Jersey. It has been very challenging for me, trying to make this state my home and locating a great daycare for my daughter. Successfully, a friend recommended me this daycare and I must admit I do not think I would ever want to transfer my daughter elsewhere. Being a full time employee at a doctors office, and a full time student is very challenging as a mother. Luckily, here in this day care everyone is very professional, caring, and educated. My daughter has developed so much since the day she started here. Every child is always intelligent in a mother's eyes, but everyone around me seem to always question my daughter's age because of her intelligence and her growing strategy. My daughter is two years old and has manners and talks to me with sentences. I believe the program the daycare is using is very helpful to me as a parent and to the children who attend here. My passion for working with children has grown to an even more extraordinary level. Its such a privilege to be employed by individuals who really dedicate their life to make a difference in these children's lives. AMAZING ! There are no words to describe how happy and THANKFUL I am with LWICD Learning Center. As a first time mom and having a bad experience at another daycare I was nervous about leaving my baby, but since day one Look What I Can Do Learning Center made me feel comfortable and in peace. My daughter and her classmates receive the best care. There is no hiding, you can go in and see what your baby is doing. My daughter LOVES going to the center and is happy when I pick her up. My family has had the BEST experience at LWICD. my daughter loves the teachers and the environment. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go back to work once she turned 1 because of the daycares in my area. Every daycare I went to they kept the children in playpens and cribs everytime I would drop by. Once I walked into LWICD I knew that this would be a great place for my daughter. Theresa the owner was warm and has set up a loving environment for the children. She has helped my family out so much and I couldn't say enough great things about this daycare. My daughter now speaks Spanish and has learned and excelled while there. The teachers are very hands on and they do great learning projects and have music on Fridays. I honestly and truly can say i love and admire this center and the staff that works there. Theresa Martinez is a great director for this school she has shown me how responsible she is with every child that goes to the center. My daughter been at this center since January 2013 and she loves it there and i can say she learned so much since she been there. My son, Julian, has been attending this learning center since he was 4.5 months old. Every month thereafter he has been receiving a tailored, age-appropriate, schedule aim at helping him develop his motor, visual, spatial and learning skills. The daily crafts and fun activities foster the children's imagination and creativity without imposing but respecting the child's personality. My little one's love for reading is reinforced with a great selection of books as he grows. The staff is very nurturing. Julian is well looked after and loved. The minute i walked in i knew it was the right place for my daughter. Just the enviroment feels cozy and warm where a child would love to be. From the director theresa all the way to all the people working there are beautiful people. Ive totally seen improvement in my daughter and would highly recommend the center. The setup is exaclty to a preschool from morning message ,circle time and etc. They work with every childs needs individually. Its so different compared to other places where your child is just being baby sat. My daughter enjoyes going there and loves everyone. My boys have been attending this learning center for almost a year now. I can only say great things about this facility. The care, attention, education and overall attitude of every personnel including Mrs. Theresa Martinez is exceptional.
