At the office they discovered my pace maker was dead. I was then scheduled for my second generator change for which I was grateful. My pace maker is axillary(armpit). I had had this procedure before and was aware of the discomfort I would be in. Upon arrival they had difficulty getting an IV. After 6 or so attempts the picc team was called. I soon realized the IV access team would not be waited for because the doctor had clinic elsewhere, so Dr Peykar gained access through my femoral vein in OR. When I jumped from the initial puncture he said "you're a nurse" . The reason I jumped was because I was caught off guard from the cold fluid running between my legs and a needle being shoved into my groin. After surgery I was medicated for discomfort. Once in recovery once in post op. My post op nurse was able to document my pain level well and begged for a last dose before discharge from another provider. Dr Peykar refused to prescribe pain medication for post op pain at discharge at least 4 times. Twice from hospital staff and twice from my husband. He stated he didn't prescribe after a generator change. Although after speaking with the doctor he had never seen a pacemaker in the axillary area before. So how does he know exactly what's involved in recovery as far as pain?Lifting my arm and sleeping is impossible. That evening following discharge I was back in the emergency room due to pain, imagine that. Im sick and tired of "medical professionals " not listening or empathizing with their patients. I'm not a complainer or someone with a low tolerance in fact it's higher than normal. Childbirth was a walk in the park! I have worked as a nurse 25 years and I've had countless painful procedures but I have yet to come across someone that refuses and denies pain management following surgery. It's sadistic in my opinion . Makes you wonder why I'm not excited to see doctors in the first place.

She offers a level of membership which allows you access to recordings of all her classes and lectures to view at your convenience. You can start like I did by listening to her podcasts for free on I-tunes. Then learn more by making an appointment to visit her practice on Caring Way in Port Charolette to learn firsthand about her practice and the various levels of service she provides. Her office is located on the second floor of the building. Her waiting room is not crowded and my appointments always occur on time. The fist part of my visit is with her nurse, Dawn, who takes my vitals and we review the medications and supplements that I am taking. We discuss issues I might have. Oftentimes she will refer me to a book I can read on a subject. My appointment with Dr Dulaney is focused on ways so can improve my quality of life. After the customary check of my heart and lungs, she might look at the wear pattern of my sneakers. This might lead to a discussion of proper posture and stride. We might discuss the importance of chewing and nose breathing. She may get on the floor and demonstrate proper exercise movements. I live in an RV Park. People often ask what it costs to live there and I answer that it depends. My doctor's practice is much the same way. The best way to find out is to inquire. See what's available that fits your needs. Don't assume you can't afford it, because you really can't afford not to. You will be pleasantly surprised.

She was plant based and has done a 180 degree flip to ketogenic diet. Her attitude borders on abusive at times. The plant based diet was high in carbs and most health care professionals know that is bad for diabetics. She would blame and be mean to her diabetic patients for not losing weight when all along they were told to eat high carb diet. Now she is promoting a high fat high protein diet like it's the Holy Grail. Stay away. The only good thing I can say is I exercise more and eat more vegetables.
