Well, that's exactly what happened when I stumbled across one of his pictures on social media. I immediately went to his profile, and I was completely in love with his pictures. I was blown away. I did not read his reviews online or did not know anyone who could have recommended him to me. I booked him right away for our engagement/10-year anniversary shoot and that same day I wasted no time and booked him for the wedding as well lol. He was the first one I booked even without having a venue or anything else. As I went to my vendors for the wedding when they asked who the photographer was everyone spoke incredible things about him, about his talent, professionalism, and how amazing he is and to think that all of this started based on one of his professional pictures on social media. His pictures were unique, artistic, and completely different to what you see out there, which was exactly what I was looking for. Then, once my husband and I meet him "we fell in love" lol literally. What's not to love? He has a great personality, approachable, professional, funny, adventurous, and cool. He is easy to work with and a true artist and a creator of magic with his lens. He truly loves what he does. However, it is the experience and service he provides to all his clients that are the most important for him. Which tells you a lot about who he is not only as a photographer but as a human being. Also, his staff is incredible. On the other hand, I must mention I am a (little) difficult to work with (lol). Picky, critical and I see everything, even the smallest details. The day of the shoot I was a bit nervous, but he made me feel comfortable, we were laughing, making jokes, and talking about life. Miguel made the experience unique, and unforgettable. It was our 10th year anniversary, and he even had a beautiful gift for us (engraved which I love) that I still have in our room. I cannot wait for our wedding. I am going to need all the laughs, I can get to calm my nerves lol. I hired Liam for a virtual wedding and he ruined the event. On August 15th, 2020, Liam's coworker…read morearrived at the venue to video the ceremony on zoom. He did not bring camera equipment instead set up a 9 inch iPad on a tripod. I supplied three videos to be played during the ceremony, the rest of the wedding was live interactions with the officiants. From the very beginning it was a complete disaster. The videographer recommended we start five minutes late to allow people to get in the waiting room, so we did. The first 15 minutes was a video I supplied Liam. for some reason, Liam's coworker muted the video and turned on the iPad's mic, so the guest listened to 15 minutes of idle conversation as the video played. When the ceremony begin, unmuted guests could be heard having conversations as the officiant tried to speak. Repeatedly, the officiant asked guests to mute their microphones. It never happened. Each time a guest made a noise the screen would go black and show the person's name and then would return to the ceremony. Liam was the host of the zoom function and should have had control of all microphones. He did nothing to silence the talking, as a result the service was lost to chatter and background noise. Liam also controlled entry into the wedding service. He left 40 guests in waiting room, none of which ever made it inside. 100% of the feedback was bad. The following day Liam sent me a copy of his work at the wedding and it was unwatchable. When I asked for a refund for services he certainly did not provide, he immediately edited the video and blamed everyone from the officiant, zoom, me and location for the disaster. He even stated had I purchased a more expensive video package from him the quality would have been better. When I asked if he would highlight my wedding on his website he said, "No". I'm aware a zoom event is never going to be the quality of a videotaped presentation. I knew that when I hired a "professional" videographer. What I didn't expect was getting someone who knew nothing about Zoom or virtual events. Liam started the event late, muted the videos, allowed guests to speak freely throughout the service and blocked 40 people from attending the wedding. He considers what he did , "good work"... Liam's team made sure no question was left unanswered. Initially, we had booked one of the staff photographers and videographers, and at the last moment, we were told that Liam himself was available to capture our wedding day. We didn't think about it too much, we said "Yes!", paid the fee required to have Liam join us on our day, and waited for our day to arrive. Wedding Day: Marco arrived early to the Church, and MJ made quick and great work of getting some excellent shots of him before the ceremony. Two of our most cherished photographs of the day were of him and his Mother, and him and my Grandmother. MJ captured the venue details as well, beautifully. I didn't notice photographs being taken of me, or the videographer capturing the walk - that is how discreet the Team is. Only specific moments were paused, ever so momentarily, to capture really excellent shots (key shot, when exiting the Church, is stopping halfway down the aisle, with guests and everyone beaming, and having another kiss - this is a great shot, which we hadn't thought of, but now wouldn't want to live without!). During the cocktail hour, the group photos were handled by Liam - and again, the experience that he and his Team has, it really shone bright here. Liam kept me calm, all while capturing the (literally) dozens of group photographs which we required (it was an incredible list of around 50 group photos, with different permutations of the guests). Not only did he capture wonderful photos, he kept me calm! After the group photos, we went for a stroll, groom + me and Liam + Antonio, to capture portraits of us. They are a very creative team and if you engage their services, let them loose! We ended up with incredible shots of us + the venue - one of our favorite is the one under the gargantuan tree outside with the dark moss, and of course the drone footage of us walking the grounds. We had photography done at the reception (Fogo de Chao) as well, of the venue + cake cutting + candids. I am running out of space! Character limits are awful. Delivery of photos+videos (high definition!) was very fast and secure, as well. Excellent service all around, start to finish. Book their services now! I booked Ricky online based on his amazing photos and outstanding reviews. I was so excited because not only was his price amazing but his photos were amazing as well. The phone interview I scheduled with him was very professional and I felt he understood what I wanted. He also gave me great advise on other wedding planning issues I hadn't even thought about. His response to my inquiring emails was way faster than any other photographer I emailed and continued to be lighting fast throughout his entire time under contract with me- even if I emailed him at 12 in the morning I would get a response back! He was amazing! Come closer to the wedding I had to cancel and reschedule our engagement shoot multiple times (even down to the day before) and he was so accommodating. He said no problem and was available the next day I needed him! I was shocked that he was so easy going and willing to help me. Our engagement session blew me away. His personality was award winning and I had the best time of my life. I didn't want to leave just because my fiance and I were having so much fun walking around greynolds park with him. (And trust me my fiance does not enjoy taking pictures-but he didn't complain once which is huge!!) I can't even describe how amazing Ricky is because he has such a perfect blend of professionalism and fun. I felt like we were hanging out with a best friend but at the same time he didn't miss a second to get a shot. He was in the zone and in complete control of the session while making us laugh every second of it. We took the engagement photos 4 days before the wedding and I wanted to have them at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding and Ricky made sure I not only had the digital copies way in advance but he made sure I had my hard copy CD in the mail way in advance!! I was shocked! I didn't expect to be able to play them at the rehearsal but Ricky made sure I had them! Having the engagement session was so wonderful because we got to know eachother, he got to understand my personality and what I wanted in my photos and I learned to completely trust him with my life! It made me so relaxed on my wedding day to know I had the best photographer in the world and who I knew was going to take care of everything for me. Ricky is a leader. He is not afraid to take control and do his job-On top of being SUPER respectful with my guests. He advised me to give him a list ahead of time of who I wanted in the family portrait shots and it was so helpful! He was gathering my family around for the bridal family shots and he had almost memorized everyone by name- and I have a pretty big family! On my wedding day it was raining and I was crying and everyone was in my face telling me to smile- but not Ricky. He was so kind to me and softly approached me and said not to worry about a thing he would retake my bridal shots another day completely free of charge(because they were supposed to be outdoors). I was in heaven! I felt like he was looking after my ultimate good like a father and really cared about my big day. From that point on there was nothing to worry about thanks to Ricky! I told Ricky he was not only my second favorite part about my entire wedding day but that he was my steady drum. He was 30 minutes earlier than we had signed for and right away was zooming around getting every shot he could. I would look around and see him going and feel so relaxed because i knew he had everything under control and wasn't going to miss a shot. Whenever I felt a hint of stress I looked for Ricky and felt relieved. He understood how important the photography was to me- after all it's the only thing you can take away from that day for memories. And he was so thankful for every second we gave him at the wedding to stop and pose. It was so funny because I felt like thanking him-not to be receiving thanks!! Ricky is great not only because he is extremely tallented but he is an encourager- In every session I had with him I left feeling like a princess. He couldn't take shots without getting so excited and saying how gorgeous the shots were turning out. My fiance and I were so excited after the wedding because Ricky was so excited- and let me tell you- he had a reason to be! My wedding photos are gorgeous!! They are amazing!! He was a real steal!! I can't stop bragging about him to anyone and everyone because he really is the best! I received all my photos-completely edited-in 13 days- that is crazy incredible!! He is the best decision I made!
