Open skate with both rinks on a Friday and Saturday is where I hung out. We were in town over Christmas and decided to take the grandkids to an open skate. The place has definitely changed over the years. Both rinks were open, but you could only skate in one at a time. Where the front entrance was is now the Pro Shop. The entrance is now behind where the ticket booth used to be. The skate rental room has been expanded to hold more rental skates. They have walkers for the little ones learning. My grandkids tried the walkers, but once they got the hang of balancing, they didn't need them any longer. There was a guard for most of the sessions second hour. I'm not sure if she was in the other side earlier or if someone else was over there. It was somewhat crowded due to holiday break, but not over crowded. My husband and mother in law sat in the stands comfortably and not frozen. I am surprised they are the original wood bleachers. . You can still go to the second floor and watch from up there. It was a great time for all of us. The kids now want to learn back home in Phoenix. I'm presently on the search for an ice rink in Phoenix Arizona!

The ice was always in good shape and the sound system without fail. They have adequate locker rooms, which are dated, like all older rinks, but enough space. We dropped in here, on figure skating ice, on a Friday evening and found good ice, same good sound system for co petition music and lovely people. The front desk, ice surface and the club members make or break your skating experience and all were wonderful!

The atmosphere was fun but a little old-fashioned. I actually liked that because it reminded me of the skate parties I used to go to when I was a kid. All the staff were friendly and really cared about the customers. The skate patrol even checked on kids who fell to make sure they were okay. I spoke with the owner during our visit, and he told me how hard Covid was for small businesses like his. You can tell they are trying to save money and keep the rink open. The building could use a facelift in some places, but it didn't take away from our fun. For a snack, we ordered a pizza and some pretzels. The food was okay--nothing special--but the kids were happy with it. They ate quickly and went right back to skating. We could tell the kids were having a blast. Overall, it was a great family experience and I would visit again. I recommend Medina Skateland if you want a fun, friendly place to take your kids skating.

We had so much fun together. They played fun music, a lot from Disney movies. There were lots of people and kids all around my daughters age. She loved it!! They were supposed to be open until three, but stayed open later because there is so many people. We would definitely recommend coming here if you're a skating fan like us! The price was $6/pp and four dollars if he needed to rent skates. They also had a cute little concession stand. We were having too much fun skating, so never got to visit it but will next time. If you bring your own skates it's $7. The rink isn't large, so if it's a busy night it could be congested. We went on a Friday night and found it to be perfect for us and a beginner ice skater. The rental skates are ok for going once but if you have your own skates I'd recommend bringing your own. Sizes are from children's 9 to adult size 13, so if you have big feet beware. Great outing for couples, families, and friends; bundle up and get there to enjoy this lovely Christmas display and skating experience!

Or stay and play with your child. Many fun areas. Ball pit, jump house, trampolines, climbing areas, dress up items, play kitchen, many riding toys. Also a smaller fenced in area for 3 year olds and younger. Lots of variety. It was a weekday afternoon when we went. Not super crowded. All in all a fun place for kids to run and play. The negative is, I would never suggest leaving your kids alone there. The supervision is lacking to nonexistent. I couldn't tell if it was just the cashier there alone, or if someone was helping her. She spent the entire time talking to another woman. Not one person was even watching the kids. No one ever walked around. The cashier's small son was there. And he was an uncontrolled kid. Running around, very wild. So while it is a fun place. I would say to never leave your kids there alone.
