We had an agreed upon time table with Lorenz to pick up guests from two hotels near our wedding venue. I'm not sure what went wrong with directions but the driver ended up being 35 minutes late bringing the majority of our guests to the venue. It was our goal to hire a shuttle so our guests could drink at the wedding but many ended up driving to the venue because the driver was so late. On top of that when the wedding coordinator tried contacting the driver he was so nasty on the phone that he made her cry. Very disappointed in the service and the fact that they delayed my wedding ceremony by 40 minutes. I haven't gotten an apology or heard a thing from the company after the fact either. read more

I am not overstating this when I say Lorentz Bus Service sabotaged our daughter's wedding. They sent us a contract for two buses on a Friday afternoon 8 days before the wedding. The contract said school buses when it should have read coaches so we contacted them to ask about that. They were not open on Saturday or Sunday and answered our question on Monday morning. However, at that point we were informed they no longer had any buses available! I guess they required us to accept the wrongly worded contract in the two or three hours after they sent it on Friday, even if it was wrong, or they would cancel our deal. This is a horrible way of doing business! It is particularly horrible when you do not tell us you needed an answer on Friday. After this I wouldn't trust Lorentz for any transportation services much less something as important as a wedding. read more

OK, so I get that problems happen. . .but I chose Lorenz because I expect them to anticipate problems and avoid them. . . The bus used to pick up my wedding guests did not have working air conditioning. They were pretty warm and flushed by the time they arrived at the wedding. Even though the wedding took an hour, the replacement bus was was not yet at the venue to transport guests to the reception. Apparently, it was "stuck in construction traffic". (see "anticipating problems"). Once the nice cooled bus arrived, it began its trek to Al and Alma's in Mound. It made two wrong turns, (see "anticipating problems") but did eventually arrive at the right location. Although one of the guests was handicapped and in a wheelchair, when it came time to drop the guests off at Target Field, apparently the driver did not know about the handicapped dropoff at the field, and instead dropped them off a l-o-n-g distance from the gate, at the bottom of a fairly steep walkway. So, was it a disaster? No. Lots of annoyances though. And, like I said earlier, I get that stuff happens. Would have been really nice to get a phone call today from Lorenz apologizing the all the inconveniences. Would have made ALL the difference in this review. Long story short, choose them if you want to be on the phone with them to cover every possible contingency and micro-manage them on the day of your event. read more

Ordered a bus for group of seniors to avoid having to drive to an event. Bus didn't show after having confirmed twice. No one available for emergency call. Group had to drive themselves to event and pay for parking but Lorenz was unwilling to pay for their parking fees without us tracking down receipts from 40 people. Company took three weeks to return original payment. Never again. read more

Overall, good. However, they are very slow when running shuttle service for large events. Claim to have three buses running at all times -- almost not possible, we waited 15-20 minutes for one to pick us up. read more

Last weekend we used Lorenz Bus Service to drive to a museum, an hour drive each way. I am giving them a 1 star review because the heater didn't work. For what we paid for the bus, it should have been warm, especially with the long drive and the fact that it was 13 degrees out. Every single person on the bus was freezing. We were all bundling up trying to keep warm. We complained several times. The driver was not very apologetic. I'm surprised they didn't provide a discount or anything considering how miserable we all were on the long drive... I would not use this bus service again during the winter. read more

One of your huge tour buses (5143PRA) was heading south on 35W at about 7:40am on 10/20/21 and was traveling 75 mph and over. An SUV pulled in front of the bus, and there seemed to be plenty of room, but the bus driver must've gotten angry at the SUV pulling in front of him because he purposely sped up to tailgate the SUV, like a foot away from the rear bumper, and turned the bus's high beams on the SUV. After he repeatedly high beamed the SUV he crossed over the solid double lines to get into the carpool lane so he could pass the SUV, but the SUV changed lanes in the opposite direction of the bus, appearing to try and get away from it. I would never use or recommend your company having seen the obvious display of road rage from your driver. He could've let it be but he just had to get his revenge, it seemed. I pray he doesn't cause an accident one day, and injure or kill someone. The driver was an older caucasian man with white hair, balding and glasses. read more

I've taken these buses to the airport a few times, and get the best service ever. The buses are pretty cool too! Love Lorenz.

I have used Lorenz off and on for the last 30 years -- their drivers are professional and prompt! Their buses are clean and in good maintenance! Often the bus drivers will participate in our events - to help as an extra chaperone! More importantly they always come through -- Regularly, my district buses deny us the opportunity to take a field trip during prime times but Lorenz is always willing to fill the gap and get us where we need to go when we need to go there! I would highly recommend them for any busing service. You may pay a bit more but it is well worth the reliability and professional service you will receive Thank you Lorenz! read more

consistently forgets their customers on multi-stop routes, and are unapologetic. when we attempted to reach them via phone, we were hung up on. do not use this service, a 2 year old could run a smoother operation. read more

We blindly booked, based on Internet images only, transportation for three wedding events. (We are not from Minneapolis). Lorenz was fantastic. Highly professional, easy to deal with, very communicative, and vehicles were First Class. Very happy with the service. read more

i rode this bus to go spanish camp every summer when i was a child. i recently rented one of their buses for a halloween event. the bus was very clean. it arrived on time, and the driver was very friendly. i will definitely be using them again in the future!!!! read more
