It's taken me a long time to find a stylist in Binghamton that I trust. There aren't enough options around here, and the ones we have just aren't very good. I know a lot of people who actually go to NYC for their haircuts (!). I was starting to understand why, but then I found Jen at Lori Ashley. She understood what I wanted, the price was very reasonable, and my color lasted longer than any other dye job I've ever gotten. My husband ended up going there after I raved about it (I can't remember who he saw--sorry!!), and now we've both decided it's our local salon of choice. I went there recently for a haircut and let me tell you - my hair looks HORRIBLE!!!!! I have thick, curly/wavy hair which I straighten much of the time. I asked to have the hair evened out (since I had an inverted bob in a previous haircut) and some layers put in. First of all, my cut is uneven, there are chunks of hair in the front that are longer than the rest. Also, the front is MUCH shorter than the back even though I asked to have it all one length so I look like a little dutch boy and the layers look like steps on my head. I am so upset with how bad it looks. I did try calling to speak with the manager/owner to report my displeasure, and she ended up telling me that it was partially my own fault for not allowing the stylist to straighten out my hair and go back through.. So it is MY fault that I received a horrible haircut.. Never heard that one before. I will NOT be going back. Hopefully my hair will grow quickly so I can get it fixed somewhere else. read more

I was just 86 out of a beauty salon wow that's an incredible task for anyone in their right mind which I am. Just to be clear the beauty salon is a wonderful place I enjoyed going there as long as I was not kicked out for some mysterious reason someday we will find that out I have no idea why or when but my appointment was just canceled. I'm a 66-year-old man with no gray hair maybe that's what irritated her not to mention any names at this point but you can probably guess it's one or the other. So to continue as I'm laughing no big issue this is the funniest thing I think I've ever put on yelp before in my life and it's been a good and long one thank you Jesus. I have been a client at this salon for 5 years. My teen aged daughters are also clients; each with a different stylist. During this time, I have referred many people to this salon, based upon them liking my cuts and color, and also because I believe in this business. Owned by a mother/daughter team (thus the Lori and Ashley..)they have built this business from the ground up. I mean that quite literally.
