I was referred to Dr. Deutsch from my doctor and saw her for about 4 months. I thought I was just going to get acupuncture but Dr. Deutsch did so much more. She reviewed my blood work, suggested diet changes, and recommended natural remedies (herbs, supplements). I loved the heat lamps, the quiet environment, and her genuine care. Dr. Lori is a very caring, attentive and effective doctor of Chinese medicine. I have gone to her regularly for acupuncture and cupping treatments for the last three years. I started seeing Dr. Lori to reduce the inflammation in my lower back following herniated disk surgery, and it really helped my recovery and lower back pain. I continued treatments because they relieved general muscle soreness, improved sleep and greatly reduced menstrual cramps. Lori Deutsch is an incredible acupuncturist and functional medicine practitioner. I have seen her over the years to help regulate my menstrual cycle as well as have acupuncture sessions for injuries and circulation. She has also personally helped heal me from two particular ailments that stumped traditional Western medicine doctors. The first was a few years ago; I was suffering from fatigue (bordering on exhaustion), foggy thinking, non-existent appetite, and severe mood swings. Traditional doctors had no answers, but when I came to Dr. Deutsch, she took an extensive intake interview and suggested I check my blood and hormone levels. I was found to be severely deficient in Vitamin D and was shown to be almost flatlined with my cortisol production. She suggested a health protocol of certain supplements. We also did a series of acupuncture sessions, and with each passing week, I could feel my symptoms subside as wholeness and balance was being restored. It was truly amazing the difference I felt in my overall health as I was healed. Several months ago, I was suffering from a strange stomach bug that wouldn't go away, and was causing cramping, intermittent fevers, distention and lack of appetite. I went to several doctors and was checked for Lyme disease and parasites, as I had been traveling in an area where those are common. The tests were negative and the doctors could offer no remedies without a diagnosis, other than prescription medicines for the symptoms.
