I went with a group of three other women, and the initial check-in felt a bit disorganized and uncomfortable. The staff were very particular about who needed to go first, which was surprising since it didn't seem like an issue when we booked over the phone. During the massage, the therapist was kind, but she talked the entire time, which made it difficult to relax. As someone new to massages, I didn't feel comfortable asking for silence. I also felt like there wasn't enough focus on the areas I specifically mentioned--I was hoping for deeper pressure and more attention to those spots, but each area seemed to be worked on only briefly, and the pressure overall was quite light. I also felt a bit uncomfortable during the repositioning process. When I turned over, the therapist lifted the sheet and covered my chest in a way that didn't feel very discreet, and it didn't seem like much effort was made to maintain privacy. After the massage, I overheard one of the staff members in the lobby loudly ask the therapist, "Did any of them tip you yet?" which felt unprofessional. I paid $135 for the service and left a $10 tip, and when I handed it to her, she responded with "Just 10?" which made me feel awkward and uncomfortable. Overall, for a total of $145, the experience felt more like a light, rushed massage than a relaxing, professional service. I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed with the value for the cost. I will say- the other two girls in our group had a better experience than me and the other girl did who had the same therapist.

Best massage I have ever had, and I have had a lot. It is very difficult to find someone who is a specialist in bodywork who understands: (a) the physiological issues; (b) how those issues may or may not be presenting; (c) the emotional baggage that may contribute to injury; and (d) a real knowledge of a body's reaction to physical traumas. Cory can do all of it, but with amazing strength and very powerful hands which means she gets what the massage is FOR and also is very good about providing the massage. This is unprecedented. Also, as a large woman of color, I rarely find therapists such as Cory who are not "scared" of my body and compensate by giving a very mild massage or going so hard they cause me pain.

It was not long before Dave was able to use his skills and experience to tackle a deep ancient knot that was located in my left shoulder that I was honestly unaware existed before he was able to get it out and noticed a huge difference. FINALLY! I've been looking for a soft tissue manipulator for years and can't recommend Dave Halley…read moreenough. I've suffered for years with shoulder and elbow issues from skiing, golfing and complete overuse of my forearm/shoulder in various home renovation projects over the years - decades in fact. I had been to many massage therapists, physical therapists, osteopaths, etc. over the years and have had cortisone and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections in both my shoulder and elbow - all without any meaningful or lasting results. Dave's approach is to go right to the source of pain/discomfort and has provided me with some exercises to compliment his treatments. He is very professional and for those that are squeamish about massage/soft tissue work, Dave works on his patients with clothes on. If you're looking for a simple rub, Dave's not your guy. But if you believe you have deep structural issues/injuries/scar tissue/knots, I'd recommend you give him a try. I still have some treatments to go, but Dave's work thus far has allowed me to sleep on my right side/shoulder without me waking up. This has been a very welcome change indeed! I asked if they could just add me onto the schedule since I was planning to patronize this business for a majority of the day, but they said they have no space and all I can do is just cancel the salt room experience. This was a terrible customer service experience, especially given that it was last minute and for a specific special occasion. I will never try to book anything here again, and I suggest that you avoid this place as well. UPDATE: they apparently still charged my account the full price of the services that I requested, despite saying that nothing went through. Despite saying that I only left the card in file, but they would never charge me before the services were rendered...stay far away from this place. Unable to provide the services, but they also don't want to give me my money back. They're trying to scam me out of my money. I am disputing these charges.
