I just got home from our long road trip after visiting the beach. I used the Monkey Farts (banana scented) sugar scrub. Sooo moisturizing, I even used it on my face and I didn't need moisturizer after I dried off! Nice and relaxed after 16 hours in the car over the past 2 days. The Cocomango goat milk soap smells nice, as does the soap wedge that smells like tootsie rolls (I think a coffee vanilla?) I also like the Mediterranean Sea facial sponge. I have been getting soap from Lori's for years when I originally found them in Tarpon Springs. My absent mind has never reviewed them so let's correct that! I LOVE their goat's milk soap and I buy my bars with the sponge "attached" within. The trick is to look at the bar on the opposite side and the ends to see how much sponge is actually within the soap. This way you can have the sponge attached the entire time until all used and it doesn't come off the bar. So yeah, I'm that person in the store that is looking at all the bars in the particular scent I want. As a creature of habit (on some things) I always get Almond but they have a ton of options and unscented as well. Today, I thought I would check out a new item, or at least to me that is their Shave Soap. 4 bars for $14.00 or 1 for $4.00. Their soaps make for wonderful gifts and I often am sending care packages up to my friends in Michigan or taking it with me for them when I visit home. They had been visiting me and were curious to the item in my shower... I always have extras on hand so I would just open a new bar for them to use and take back with them and they were hooked. Then they wanted to start giving them out as gifts as well. read more

The place deserves a 0 for customer service!!! Not sure who was attending the store today at about 1:30-2ish she was very rude tried asking questions about the product my son has very sensitive skin & her response was it better that what you buy at the store. We decided to give it a try at checkout she was beyond rude. The energy she gives off is beyond horrible. Hopeful she was just having a bad day & is not like this every day. Must have a Miserable life to treat paying customers this way. The store was clean & well put together if we like the soap I would have to get past the rude customer service or find another soap place where all people are treated with t respect. read more

I absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! The soap is homemade, the lady that works there helped me out so much!! She was great! They have a great variety of scents and the prices are reasonable. There's over 50 different FRAGRANCES!!!!!!!!! Get out and support your local shops guys! I spent SO MUCH time and money shopping here. The soaps are olive oil based and also offer goat milk bars. Natural sponges from the sea TOO!!! That are antibacterial lasting up to 8 years??!!! Omg. I used my soap last night.. the scent lasts, and moisturizes your skin. I almost started slow dancing with myself because I smelled so good!! I'll be back later tonight to get some bath bombs. These make great gifts or .... just keep it all for yourself!!! My crazy sensitive skin looooooves Lori's soaps! I've yet to find a soap of hers that I didn't like. I even started using it on my face when I forgot my face wash during our last weekend get-a-way, and I won't be buying any more of my face wash! Their moisturizing, heavenly smelling soaps last quite a long time, as well. You can smell the heavenly smell of their shop from the boardwalk. The owners mother, an extremely sweet woman, is typically running the register. Definitely my favorite, long standing shop on the boardwalk! read more

I travel all the way from tampa yo get soaps from here. They smell amazing and last a really long time. They are a pretty decent price,at 4 for 12 too. A few of my favorites are the jasmine and the cocoa mango. They also have a bunch of sponges,which are good quality as well,and you can now get a soap that has the sponge attached,which is cool. greek owned & operated. natural sponges. from tarpon springs. loofahs made from natural sponge. in the age of plastic and polyvinyl sponges, we have forgotten how great organic sponges are. And, they also sell goats milk soaps, olive oil moisturizing creams, and many other original products all made for this store alone. A lovely and original concept in retail. The shopkeeper was so very nice and down to earth, and helful. Of course, samples of everything before we bought anything. Highly recommended. read more

First off, their soaps are amaze-balls. (They are the only soap I use exclusively.) So it really makes me sad to have to give this review. Normally when I get them, I'll wait to I visit family in the area and stack up, or I'll have my aunt who lives there send them to me. After giving one as a gift to my coworker--who loved it--, I decided to order them as gifts for the holidays. I ordered 11. I'm happy I ordered them so early because they screwed up my order. Apparently a new person boxed up my order but didn't seem to realize there it was three pages. The result? I didn't get 4 of my soaps. I call. Speak with a woman named Michelle. She boxes my soaps up that same day I call. A tuesday. However, there is no mention that they're going to overnight it or do anything for their screw up. On Friday with no shipping number or anything, I call them back. ( Thursday was Thanksgiving so I'm not expecting it to be sent then). Michelle is like "Oh well it went out today. It should take three days to get there." Very nonchalant like they were doing me a favor for sending me the soaps I paid for (on time) and that they neglected to send. When I mention that it's curious that they didn't even try to ship it the day after I called. Nope, they ship it out two days later (three if you count Thanksgiving.) Her response is just "Oh I'm sorry. We are paying to ship it." Again, like she's doing me a favor for shipping the product I paid for and I should've gotten already if they hadn't screwed up. It's not ridiculous to expect a business to immediately do what they can to justify a screw up on their end. What if I needed those products for something this week? So as much as it pains me to say this, I'm probably going to have to find another soap to use. Luckily for me, I already have like 8 bars stocked up. :-p read more

Loving the soaps the scent is soft and not overwhelming which is hard to find. Plus the price you can't beat for handmade soap . Will be ordering on line which I am glad she does won't be back in store for awhile. She was really helpful when I was in store picking out soaps read more

I loved this soap bc goat's milk is just the best. They all smell amazing and make my skin feel great. Im not a huge fan of the sponges bc im not sure thats really necessary. But they do offer vegetable version of the sponges so thats a plus. I got 4 for 12$ and i wish i had got more! read more

Absolutely love this store. I stock up annually when I'm in the area. This year I bought 12 bars of soap but also a jar of Shea butter cream. I have for a week, applied it to my sunburn and have resisted peeling. I also have used it on my dry cracked heels. For 9.99 a jar it is definitely worth it. All if the scents are smooth and easy. I can't say enough good about this store. When we left my kids said see you next year, and she replied, "god willing". Gave me a good feel and really made me think. Each day is a gift. read more

Friend of mine took me here when I visited Florida last year and I fell in love with their soaps. They last, smell great, and leave your skin feeling amazing! I went back a few weeks ago during my vacation to FL and stacked up for about 6 months! I also bought an olive oil shampoo that smells that coconut and mango, it leaves my hair nice and shiny! You can order online, but I definitely recommend stopping here if you are in the Tarpon Springs area. read more

Our customer service experience at Lori's was forgettable. My wife and oldest three daughters entered the store. I was a minute behind them with my youngest daughter. My wife used the hand sanitizer at the counter and, as she walked away, ONE drop of sanitizer hit the counter. She was completely unaware of the incident. Clearly unaware of my presence the woman at the counter mumbled under her breath but clearly loud enough for me to hear how disrespectful some people are. I cleaned it up for this review; the actual quote also incorporated vulgarities. The irony of her statement of disrespect still makes me chuckle. I immediately stated we are leaving and not spending one penny at this establishment. The woman at the counter did not apologize. She said nothing. I was glad to see the other family in the store also leave. A family with five women/girls walked into the store ready to buy some nice bath accessories. We left disgusted by the complete lack of professionalism we witnessed. read more

Management definitely caters to tourists without any concern for after sale support. We had an issue with the body salt scrub that I contacted Lori about. She never bothered to respond to my concerns. I wouldn't bother with this place in Madiera Beach or Clearwater Beach in Florida. Much less her mothers store in Branson, MO. Buyer beware. read more
