Specialties
Lorna Withers' long established Essex Acupuncture practise provides effective treatments combining Traditional Chinese acupuncture, cupping therapy and moxibustion. The success of acupuncture lies in its holistic approach ensuring the whole person receives treatment individually tailored to their specific needs.
Common symptoms which have responded positively to acupuncture include menstrual difficulties and problems conceiving, low energy and feeling run down, aches and pains of back, neck, joints and head, stress related sleep problems, anxiety, panic attacks and digestive disturbance and skin problems.
Lorna often works with people during times of change in their lives - pregnancy, birth, bereavment, divorce, menopause, retirement, puberty - as debilitating symptoms can arise during stressful times of transition. Lorna uses acupuncture to help facilitate a smooth path at these challenging times, and is passionate about helping them establish and maintain health and well-being.

Meet the Business Owner: Lorna W.
Lorna is the sole practitioner at Essex Acupuncture. Her first encounter with acupuncture was as a patient while living in Japan in the early 1990's. She found the holistic nature of the practise of acupuncture fascinating and was so impressed with the results of her treatment that she studied privately with her practitioner for a period of 6 months.
On returning the Britain she completed a three year diploma in acupuncture at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and has now been in private practise over 12 years. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
Subsequent post graduate training has included courses in acupuncture treatment for menstrual irregularities and infertility, stress related anxiety and depression, musculo skeletal pain and injury, low energy and immunity, skin problems and battlefield acupuncture for pain relief.
