I'm not sure I would have ever imagined you could find decent Mexican food in north Georgia. But it exists. Los Amigos was packed for lunch, & that was a good sign for us as we motored through this small town. The waitress exuded tons of Georgia hospitality. She took good care of us. The meal started with chips & salsa. The salsa was seriously fantastic tasting. I ordered 2 enchiladas with beans & rice. This part of the meal was good but nothing outstanding. The service was slow, but attentive. Kitchen was slow. Chips were fresh, salsa pretty good too. Even though it took a while to arrive, my lunch combo was NOT SERVED at safe temperatures by a long shot. Definitely in the danger zone under 140f. Not even steaming at all. They have a sign that says there is a 3.75% charge for credit cards, but under that on the same sign some Einstein translated the math to "4 cents per dollar" Unusual decor, 80's upholstery 90's everything else. Super friendly service! Food came hot and delicious....salsa is just the right amount of spice. I ordered the carne asada tacos with added grilled mushrooms and it was fantastic. My friend ordered a taco salad with grilled chicken and it was HUGE! The prices for the amount and quality of food is great! I know if I am up here in Chatsworth again, I will be back! Spending a few weeks here in Chatsworth for business and this Mexican joint is perfect for a quick lunch! I don't know what it is about this area and it's countless amount of Mexican restaurants, but who knew North Georgia, at the foothills of the Appalachians would have some tasty Mexican tacos! I came here for lunch thanks to the handful of yelpers here in Chatsworth! Though your numbers may be few, your reviews are still for naught... this place is legit! I had the tacos azado, a side menu item. At $2 each, i ordered 3 and made it into a meal. The steak and chicken was seasoned right with a great char on the meat, but still tender to bite. My co-worker picked from the lunch menu where you can pick from a list (burritos, tacos, flautas, quesadillas, etc) all served with rice and beans. All which looked tasty. Restaurant serves free chips and salsa. Waitresses are quick, friendly, and attentive. Great food and fast, friendly service. Perfect! i will be coming back! read more

A most pleasant surprise! Hubby & I lived in Texas for many years, so we didn't expect to find such good Mexican food in a small Georgia town, but we did here. Service was attentive but not intrusive, and the prices were reasonable, too. After enjoying the tortilla chips with tasty & well spiced salsa and a yummy queso with jalapeños, I had the shrimp quesadillas, and hubby had crispy beef tacos. Although the shrimp were not large, they were sufficiently juicy and flavorful, and hubby said that his tacos exceeded expectations. Also, the margarita (I ordered the "Texas" top shelf variety) was not only huge but also delicious (and I am a margarita snob). We definitely plan to return next time we are in the area! read more

The bathroom Oder is throughout the restaurant. Can't enjoy a meal in that atmosphere.

So disappointed in this restaurant. Dawn was so disrespectful towards me when I brought to their attention the roach I found in my rice. When I simply asked for another order, instead of taking anything off my order, she return with the new entree by slamming it on the table and walking off. I understand this is something restaurants can't always help and wasn't angry so it was very hurtful to be treated like this by the owners. I will not be returning. read more

Lunch Nov 22 Would like to give 3.5 stars Stopped in for lunch and what a pleasant surprise. Lunch special fajitas which were honestly big enough for 2 normal eaters was only $8. We got 2 orders and should of probably split 1. I got the Combination #1 for $7 and felt the quality was good for the value. Chips and salsa were awesome! Only comment on was the steak fajita meat was a bit chewy. But for the $$ I didnt care. If you driving by and trying to find great value for your money and some pretty decent food served very quickly, this place is a winner! read more

Hands down, one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. Fantastic, tasty food with incredible service. I never saw the bottom of the chip bowl or a drink glass, the staff practically fell over themselves servicing our table. I had the mixed fajitas, at just $8.00 it was a bargain. Perfectly done steak and chicken, plentiful toppings, and a nice rice and beans portion. All 7 in our party were thrilled with their order, and there was only one leftover box which is a compliment for a party of picky eaters. This place is worth the trip, achieving that rare combination of bargain priced and quality food. read more

SOOO goood! The salsa is fresh and delicious, the chips are fabulously crisp and salty with an awesome flavor. I ordered the lunch fajitas and HOLY WOW! Seriously some of the best fajitas I have ever had - and that is no lie! There was way more than I could manage, even for a 2pm lunch. The meat was cooked just right, the veggies were awesome, and all the fixins were on par! We couldn't have Mexican without a few margaritas so we hit those a little hard too... pitchers were a perfect choice for three of us and a good price. I'm sure glad the in-laws live close by - we will be sure to hit this EVERY time we make it into town. read more

Very disappointed with Los Amigos tonight. We are, were, loyal customers until tonight. Me and my family go to Los Amigos almost every Friday night. Tonight we left before ever being seated. We waited for almost 45 minutes with my 4 month old granddaughter. There was 7 in my party and a table was available. However we were told it was reserved. I wasn't even aware you could make reservations on a Friday. We continued to wait patiently and kept being told the table was for a party that was outside....no one was waiting outside. There was about 15 people waiting inside though. Finally some of the staff told my husband it was the attorney, Gandy? I am not familiar but apparently his money spends better than ours. We left and went to El Publito which was great! We won't be back to Los Amigos. I hope "Gandy" eats there every Friday because you just lost 7 loyal customers. read more

Have been here more than a few times, even though the food is just ok, but not that great. The last few times, both the ground beef and chicken dishes have been way too salty. After my first complaint, I was told their cook was a little too free handed with the salt, and they'd received several complaints. I was told the same thing two more times and got a "sorry" the last time. I would think corrections would be made after the first or second complaint, and surely after multiple complaints, but apparently they don't care enough. We won't be back. read more

Great, cheap food. I deducted one star simply because there was no one there who knew how to make drinks, and we wanted drinks. They were also out of tonic, and soda, but we just altered our drink orders and my brother went to the bar to walk our server through making drinks. This is a great little hidden gem! I consider this Cheap Mexican (a lot of generic combo plates) I had the Carne Asada and it was seasoned perfectly and not overcooked like most places. The Beans are also spiced perfectly and 4 year old approved,she knocked out 2 servings. All in all anytime we are on hwy.411 we make a stop. read more

Favorite mexican restaurant in chatsworth definitely! Their cheese dip is so good. My favorite plate is the vegetarian cheese burrito with a side of rice and beans, then I pour cheese dip over it all. It's $6.75 so I think prices are pretty fair. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant! It's more American Mexican than traditional, but it's by far the best in Chatsworth/Dalton. I recommend the Chicken Ranchero or Grilled Chicken Nachos. read more

I just ate the chicken ranchero which was good. My usual is the lunchtime chicken fajitas which is always more than enough and can be ordered all day long. Arrived around 6:30 and the house was packed. Orders got crossed because a couple orders came up all at once but everything was sorted out. The cheese dip is usually better, this time it was cold and a little runny. Guacamole was good and fresh. read more
