This is the first "mexican" I have had in Poland. I was raised in Arizona so I know my Tex-Mex, California style, and the true authentic and messy nitty gritty mexican food. This tastes between authentic and tex-mex. I was pleasantly surprised with the Barbacoa meat. Its my favorite. It was missing the FAT cooked in. Otherwise, for being Poland, I was impressed. The tacos are soft corn tortillas, but not true authentic masa style, but they fit the bill. The beed nachos supreme were tasty for a starter and were shared between 4 people.
The disappointment- the small and literal paper feel napkins and the margaritas. It would be totally safe to give a child one of their margaritas because it had zero alcohol and they filled up a half size of a mason jar of crushed ice and then poured in the drink mix. For 25zł per drink, you will maybe get two swigs out of the jar and then nothing but ice. Most places in Poland always serve margaritas this way - it's disappointing. :( Next, their napkins...if your food is going to be this messy, step up your napkin game. You might be trying to be eco-friendly but match the napkins to your tasty messy food. Our table of 4 went through at least 40 napkins. They don't absorb anything. They are like a small scrap of PAPER, not absorbant.
The service is what made this joint a place to return. The food delivery was FAST, hot, and friendly. The place is as small as a cafe though so call ahead and grab a table or bar top because it was very busy for a Friday night. I would love to try the other "mexican" joints in the area but I am here with friends just visiting and we all missed mexican. My friends said they were not impressed but for being Poland, this was great to me. Being so far from home...they just need more lime, salt and cilantro in an authentic liquid salsa. Their salsa tasted like a bottle of Pace Picante Sauce - mild version. Add some pico de gallo or green verde sauce on the side. Otherwise, it did not upset my belly so its a win!! read more
