From the minute we walked through the front door around 5:00 p.m., we were welcomed with a smile and seated right away. The folks working there were as friendly as they come. Our drinks showed up quick, and our waitress stayed on top of everything the whole meal without being overbearing. Empty glass? It didn't stay empty long. Now let's talk about the food... The chips were thin, crispy, fresh, and downright addictive. And that salsa? Buddy, that's some of the best salsa I've ever put in my mouth. It had just the right amount of kick without trying to burn your taste buds off. I wound up putting it on everything--the chips, my tacos, and even the rice. I ordered the crispy beef taco dinner with double rice and no beans. The taco shells were perfectly crispy, the seasoned beef was full of flavor, and that Mexican rice was flat-out outstanding. Honestly, it's some of the best Mexican rice I've ever eaten. Everything about this place impressed me--the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the prices. These days it's getting harder and harder to find a restaurant where you walk away feeling like you got your money's worth, but the Lazy Enchilada sure fits the bill.
