Our wonderful host with sweet spirit and sense of humor! The heavenly bread!

FIVE STARS! Incredible food, incredible service, a wonderful environment, accessible, and fair prices. What more could you ask? Our Paella was beyond measure! We enjoyed live music man who played Spanish classical guitar during our dinner. While we waited, the aromas of the "Sazon" flooded my heart with memories of the smells in my mothers kitchen, when I was a little girl. The host had a wonderful, sweet spirit and a sense of humor. Our server was fast, friendly, and efficient. I've been back from vacation for three weeks and I still dream about my dinner with my father at this wonderful restaurant. It is centrally located in walking distance from our hotel. If you ever visit in Malaga Spain, don't miss having dinner at this wonderful hidden gem.!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I've been craving paella for a few days now, so we decided to stop here to try the Paella de la Casa, which was only €30. We also ordered the garlic shrimp and half a dozen razor clams as appetizers. Everything was amazing! The razor clams had a deliciously smokey taste, the shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the paella was HUGE, packed full of seafood and flavorful. If you're in the mood for affordable seafood and/or paella, GO HERE!!

We went here by recommendation for paella and we were very pleased. The paella was well prepared and delicious. We had a bad experience at another restaurant so we were looking for a redemption. Box checked! We're on vacation and were dressed as such (t-shirt and shorts). We were seated at a formal looking table and the restaurant filled with fancy attire. At no time were we treated any different and our service was outstanding.

We ordered the Paella de la Casa and the Calamari. The calamari is lightly battered and has a good bite. The paella is an abundant mix of seafood (shrimp, calamari, fish). The rice is a bit al dente but deliciously flavored.

Recommended to us at our hotel. Wonderful service and very cosy inside. The food was delicious as well as the wine. Clearly I ate too much...the veggies were perfectly olive oiled and salted. I could have eaten a whole plate of the onions alone. The baby squid..so tender and my monkfish was wonderful. Even better than that was my husbands red snapper.

Great paella negra and other seafood favorites. Decent wine selection too. Service could be quicker, but all around great.

Bon Appetite? No, thank you, I'll skip that

Haven't fallen for a tourist trap like this since Miami years ago. First, if I'm alone doesn't mean I should be given the worst table. Second, it should be at least $$$ rather than $$. Finally, especially with prices like these, I should be getting what's on the picture, this is not McDonalds. Photo showed multiple filets of different fish, what I got was some sardine tails and heads. Why would you even put those on the plate? I looked clean and was dressed neatly, so I'm not sure why I was treated like I'm retarded.

Visited 3 times in Malaga and loved it. Enjoyed the fried fish and shrimp in garlic oil. Also loved the AC inside to beat the heat!

They offer Gluten free bread, which is hard to find and nice offer. The mixed paella was good and made with turmeric instead of saffron.

It's all standing space and the guy at the counter won't pay any attention to you unless you shout "perdon" and have your order ready. the seafood was so fresh. in the case of the gooseneck clams, they tasted a little too fresh and from the ocean (if u know what i mean). the grilled razor clams and grilled padron peppers were phenomenal. the bread and herb aoli was a surprising smash hit, only 1€ and a meal in and of itself. the paella was delicious as well, replete with a variety of different seafoods (including the plumpest of mussels) but it was too salty to enjoy without a beer and ranks second in terms of seafood flavor to the paella from bar santa cruz in se. i did avail myself with glee to the large juicy slice of lemon that came with every plate though.

This was our last stop to visit on our list today. Many bars and restaurants. Fresh produce, seafood, meats, etc. Ambiance - Decent size market. And plenty of surrounding businesses. A nice architecture. It would have been nice if I had more time to visit, too jam-packed of a day. Well half a day, but you know that because you are following. Several entrances. Open 6 days a week from 8am to 2pm or 3pm or when they sell out. Closed Sundays. The fish market is also closed on Mondays. Service - Good, busy. Both locals and tourists here. Price - Competitive market, so very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of foods. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since the 14th century. 1870 when made into a market. 1979 - Refurbished.

Words cannot describe how much we loved and enjoyed this charming tapas place…read more Our stay in Malaga was extremely short, and we had desperately searched for a great lunch spot. Catedral Del Pascaito is simply magnificent. It was one of my top 3 meals during our recent trip to France and Spain. 1) Seafood is incredibly fresh. Everything is literally alive. Yes, alive, that fresh. 2) Great service. Amazing chef/owner. My Spanish is terrible, and I had to communicate with him via google translator. Still, he was super patient, and explained everything on the menu with a huge smile on his face. LOVED the guy. 3) Unbelievable food. Yes, I mentioned that the ingredients were fresh, but everything was prepped to perfection. I highly recommend this tiny clam called Coquinas (12 euros). Simmered in buttery sauce with parsley, these tiny clam lookalike coquinas tasted marvelous. We also had fried fresh white anchovy (Boquerones), which tasted crazy good. It was lightly fried, and the texture was almost fluffy soft. And for only 5 euros, how could I ever find faults with this wonderful dish?!?! We ordered 5 tapas and 3 glasses of wine, and the total bill came down to 42.50 euros. I LOVE SPAIN. The owner seems to love Hollywood movies, as the restaurant was decorated with pictures of famous Hollywood actors, actresses and movies. I really wanted to tell him that his food was better than any tapas I had in NY and DC, but he was too busy, so I couldn't. Next time we return to Malaga, we will surely visit this place again, and we will order everything off the menu.

The wine paired very well with the meal, and the lobster was some of the best my wife has ever had (and she has tried quite a bit of lobster from many places). We saw a few things that had our inner health inspectors slightly alarmed, but I think they have mastered only doing slightly unsanitary things around food that has yet to be cooked, because it is the next day and my stomach is still smiling. Nobody here spoke good English, but if you are willing to put some effort into trying or speak a tiny bit of Spanish, you should get along quite well since you can pretty much point to what you want. They stayed open past their official 11:30 closing time to serve every person who started waiting before that time and they never stopped smiling. Great spot!
