Food was great, atmosphere amazing! 4 stars because every single one at my party table (of 14) who ordered different types of cocktails/ margaritas/ mojitos tasted more like juice than alcohol. When we brought it up to our server he said we would have to purchase a shot of whatever our drinks were mixed with to add it to our drinks to make them actually taste like an alcoholic beverage. Overall, customer service, restaurant, and even the valet was great.

Skirt steak, pastor taco and shrimp taco

Nice restaurant with good food options. Mix of Mexican and some American food like steak and shrimp. We got the pastor and shrimp taco and skirt steak. The pastor was a bit simple but it comes with cilantro onions and mild sauce sides so adding that helped a lot. Shrimp tacos were good, skirt steak was really good with lots of flavor but a bit more on the spicy side. Took about 15min to get our food and waiter understood just enough English for us to be able to order. Nice decor and atmosphere with mariachi music, definitely recommended.

    Molcajete & Las Parrilladas

This is our favorite. We keep considering other places but keep coming back to Los Remedios. They stay open late. Often 2 for 1 drinks. The molcajete is the best I've found anywhere. The Las Parrilladas is too (both pictured). Great service. They have gringo menus if you need them. Usually have a spicier habanero salsa they'll bring if you ask. It's very loud so if you want a quiet place with some drizzle on an oversized plate with a little food in the middle keep on truckin'! Super high (and beautiful) echoing ceiling with the sounds of cheer and multiple bandas and mariachis. Don't be a dipshit tourist and start videoing people who aren't your group tho.

Ok back here again in TJ at los Remedios, what can I say, never a dull moment always satisfied. On this trip I met with several people I work with and this time we ordered so much appetizers, 2X1 drinks, main dishes grilled options, Molcajetes, and just food and music galore, highly recommended.

Another stop on our UYE Tijuana adventure. We're still on our feet and we haven't lost anyone in the group. This gigante cantina located near the roundabout featuring a statue resembling Abraham Lincoln (sans stovepipe hat) is an impressive hall space to accommodate our large party. The acoustics lends well to this evening's eight-person mariachi making the rounds. Guitars, trumpets, and violins. Oh my! The ensemble put on a strong performance that would make any aficionado swoon. At about US $10/song, each musician earns a buck plus a modest gratuity. The long cantina bar that stretches along the wall displays the largest collection of tequila bottles I've seen. I'm sure other places might have an impressive roster, but this grand display is certainly noticeable. Just ask the bartender if you fancy an alternative liquor or if tequila is your nemesis. I stuck to my plan of bottled beers and light snacking. Service was friendly and attentive. A waiter seemed to be on the spot to offer another cold beer on time; ready to pop another bottle cap when you gave the ok. The cheerful hostess helped us out with getting taxis since the next stop was much more than several blocks away. Come by Los Remedios to enjoy some food, drink, and entertainment. The Mexican hospitality is the perfect pick-me-up prescription to help remedy whatever got you down. ¡Hasta luego!

What really sets this place apart is the outstanding customer service, the staff is welcoming, attentive, and treats every customer really nicely. It came highly recommended by both locals and fellow food lovers, and after seeing the incredible reviews, we knew we had to experience it for ourselves. We ordered a little bit of everything: tacos de tripa, tacos al pastor, tacos de asada, and an asada quesadilla. Every single item was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The tripas were perfectly crispy without being greasy, the al pastor was juicy, well-seasoned, and had that classic balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors, and the asada was tender with a delicious char-grilled flavor. The asada quesadilla was generously filled with meat and gooey melted cheese, making it the perfect complement to the tacos. One thing I really appreciated was how convenient the ordering process is. They have a drive-through style setup where you simply pull up and park in front of the restaurant. An employee comes directly to your car to take your order, and once your food is ready, they bring it right out to you. It's such an easy and efficient experience, especially if you're eager to grab amazing food and get back on the road. It's easy to see why this place has earned such a stellar reputation. Between the authentic flavors, generous portions, friendly service, and convenient setup, this was the perfect way to kick off our trip into Mexico. I'll definitely be making this a tradition every time I cross the border.

Found this place, thanks to Yelp…read more We crossed over to droop off my parents and wanted a place that served food but that we could sit down and talk. We had a 15 minute wait before we were sat at our table. As soon as we sat down, we had coffee cups ready and regular coffee or Cafe de olla ready to be served. Our Server was amazing. He made sure we were comfortable, and asked if we had any questions on the menu. We ordered the queso fundido to start, chilaquiles and tamales everything was great! I can't wait to go back and try the lunch/dinner menu. The place was very busy but the place was filled with good vibes and great energy.

I had someone call from our hotel and we got right in and there was a line outside. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is all great. Their breakfast goes from American eggs and bacon with the best potatoes to wonderful burrito type breakfast items. Their menudo is great and they have great Mexican meats as well. Lunch and dinner is about the same. They make Mexican style fish and steak that is just perfect every time. All of their Mexican dishes are just wonderful. You can't go wrong. They even have bottled water--never drink the water there, just don't. They have the best rice and beans. The service is great. They make you feel right at home and even if you don't speak Spanish, most speak English and you will figure it out because they will help you. The prices are fair for what you get. At dinner I consider it fine dining. It is all good and you will be happy. The place is also clean and super comfortable.

The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.
