Anytime we get together with my family someone always picks up bread from this bakery. I've been here a couple of times. The bread is really good. I noticed most of the b was is prices at $1.25. Not bad at all since the bread is huge compared to other places. It looks like they wholesale. They have racks and racks of bread. Unfortunately, they don't have that many options like other places that I frequent. Definitely worth the try if you are in the area. They close at 10:00pm and they take card. It's not the same as it was a couple of years ago. Before they had soooo many display cases with MANY pan dulce options but during my visit, they only had ~4 display cases and all with the same kinds of bread. So sad. This used to be the spot for us growing up. They used to sell these loaves of panques and they were so good! Now they don't make them and they have limited bread options. Maybe I got there way late but I remember before they were pumping out pan dulce at all hours of the day. They were open 24/7 at some point because they supplied the loncheras with their pan. Like they say, all good things eventually come to an end. It just sucks remembering this place a specific way, coming back and realizing things change. BUT the bread I did get was cool. The bread is pricier that's the competition. Hadn't been here in years thought I would give it a try again. Arrived at 11AM, of course wasn't expecting fresh bread since that goes very quick and already noon here. However, the one piece bread I bought was on trays outside, not covered. Once I got home the bread was stale and dry. They should give DISCOUNTS on bread that is over 24hrs made. Not good! read more

I went in to buy bolillo bread to make sandwiches. The bakery attendant went to the back to pack the bread so I was really hoping to get fresh bread. There was trays of conchas out in the open with a fly going around this should've been my sign to run out. When I was handed the bag it felt hard, i thought maybe it was left in the oven a little longer and may be extra crunchy but instead I got something that was hard and dry similar to a 2 day old bread. Walking back to our car after having lunch at at La Casita Mexicana we were lured into Los Reyes Bakery by the delicious scents wafting out the door. Although, we've both taken a decent amount of Spanish classes in the past, when we need to break it out at a moments notice we stumble a bit. The lady inside only spoke Spanish and so my boyfriend and I had a hard time trying to tell her we wanted a paper bag so we could grab a few of the baked goods. Yes, I know it's simple, bolsa de papel, but we were dumbstruck and at least you'll know what to ask for when you go there. We grabbed three treats, one was a mix between freshly baked wheat muffins and an oatmeal cookie, the other was a simple pastry filled with a cheese filling, and the last was a lemon-filled pastry. The oatmeal cookie pastry was amazing, served warm and almost gooey. The cheese pastry was also good eaten a day later, although I could have used a little more filling. The last one, we're saving for later but have high hopes for. I can't forget to mention that all of the above cost us only $1.50, this might just be the best deal in town. read more

It's not the flashiest of places but it has my family's favorite breads. It's hard to find good "chorreadas" and this place tends to have plenty. I have noticed that the flavor of their "chochinito" (pig shaped bread) has a wonderful texture that most don't have. The flavor is wonderful as well. This is one of my favorite bakeries. They don't wear their masks correctly due to covid and two workers didn't even have their mask on! and their dealing with food! It is a decent bakery and I would not categorize it as the best. I would call this a no-frills bakery that has all the basic Mexican bread around. I do agree that it does smell when it is early in the morning and late at night when people come, especially during the winter months. However, the only thing that I am concerned is their plumping of their bread. Especially their conchas, in which they are soft, but plumped, and it loses all the magic of what a real concha is for. Bomb pan dulce!!! número uno in my list, worth the drive. The lady is so nice and helpful, no other bread compares. If you buy bread elsewhere it tends to get hard if left out or the next day, but not THIS bread. Mexican people know that if you want to keep your bread suavecito you keep in a plastic bag and because this bread is fresh your bread will taste good the next day. Also, this is the closest type of bakery and pan dulce to LEGIT Mexican bread, so don't judge the place until you've tried their Pan. LOVE, LOVE and LOVE some more, this place! Not only does it hold the best memories ever for me, which I will always cherish.... the quality and taste of the bread here hasn't changed over the years. I grew up in Bell, lived there for over 20 years and this is by far the best bakery in town.
