I'm a local but my brother and my moms friend were visiting so we all went on a tour! We had a great time and Luke the pilot was great as well. I was a flight attendant for several years but for some reason never got a chance to be in a helicopter. I'll bring guests here for now on. read more

My girlfriend and I had to one up my twin sister and her boyfriend, after they had just got done with an underwhelming $150 4 minute parasail ride, so we turned to lost bay Helicopters. One small thing, my girlfriend is terrified of heights. Once we got into the helicopter (walking into the helicopter makes you feel like Tom Cruise by the way) my girlfriend started freaking out. Crying, panicking, the whole 9 yards and wanted to get off. The pilot offered to hover the bird so she could get a feel and see if she liked it before committing to going hundreds of feet in the air. They even had a towel for her tears and mascara. She got over it and up we went. The views were absolutely gorgeous, and our pilot spotted some dolphins in the water and circled back around so we could see them playing. We ordered a 12 minute ride and it ended up being over 15 minutes I believe. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it, especially for the price. My terrified gf was even glad we did it and conquered her fear. Also, these guys are young military vets so it's even cooler. read more

I can't believe that I'm the first to review. For about a hundie, the two of you can have the most incredible tourist thing. The pilot (is adorable) is knowledgeable, gives competent instructions without terrifying you, then lifts you off of the tarmac before you can start to panic about being hoisted 500 feet off terra firma in a glass bubble glued to a beer can. The panic lasts only a couple seconds, then ... OMG. Just. Wow. It's a short trip around the Gulf Shores city, beach and state park. The pilot loves his little neck of the woods and ADORES his machine. He is happy to share info and explain intricacies of his aircraft. And ... drumroll .... you get to wear those cool headphones with microphones attached. Do this tourist thing. Its fun to go hang around the airport, too. AFTERTHOUGHT: It is not, in fact, a beer can. It's an amazing, well-kept, well-loved flying machine. I did not mean to make it sound otherwise. read more

My daughters been dying to fly so when I seen their ad pop up on fb while we were on vacation I jumped on it. I wish I hadn't the pilot didn't say a word to us when we got in which made it kind of awkward in my opinion. My 7 year old daughter sat in the front with him she was so excited it was her first time flying and it was a surprise birthday present for her. I've went on a helicopter ride down here a few years ago and it was great the guy talked to us the whole time asked where we were staying so we could fly by and wave I'll be taking her there if we ever want to go again. When we got done she was like why didn't he say hi how are you or bye have a nice day i hope you enjoyed it when we got out that was awkward. i asked which way we were going and he told me left down the beach and across state park and thats the only thing he ever said. The lady that walks you to the helicopter was super nice and friendly. Luckily my daughter still enjoyed it and it wasn't a total bust for her. read more
