With a fairly empty stretch between Sacramento and San Diego off the I-5 this park is the perfect pit stop haven. Wonderful Park provides clean and stocked bathrooms, picnic tables, trees that give shade for hot days and an array of playgrounds for different ages - including a workout area. The swings were our favorite part because you can have two people swing facing together on a tandem swing. Our toddler loved smiling at me while we swayed back and forth. read more

Highly recommend this as a pit stop while driving between SoCal and NorCal. Excellent options in structures and play options for kids of all ages and needs. What's not to like about this "wonderful" park? We were driving back home to San Francisco from LA last Friday. We travel a lot with our pup. He's a great road trip trooper. We wanted to stop somewhere other than a parking lot where he could relieve himself. I looked up parks closest to our location on the I-5 and this came up. Lost Hills is a very small town (unincorporated community, according to a Google). It looks like it is a common stop for travelers needing gas and food. This park is about two miles in from the highway. It was still morning (about 9:30 AM) when we went, so there was virtually no one ride there. Just as the other reviews state, I can confirm this place is clean and quiet and welcoming. There are picnic tables, a playground, and even a track, all of which we didn't utilize. We did use the restrooms and they were very clean, probably the cleanest park bathroom I've ever used. Anyway, our little guy sniffed around, got some relief, and headed back in the car like a happy clam. I recommend this park whether it's for you, the family, or the dog! read more

Park is reopened and one of the best we've been to while on road trip! Definitely worth the stop to let the kids get the wiggles out. Good for all ages. Little ones will love the variety of play structures, and big kids will love the adult fitness area and basketball court! Bonus splash pad (was off during winter when we came through). Park is wonderful! Such a great park with plenty for your kids to play on during a break from a long road trip. The reason I give it 2 stars is because it was kind of a sketch location. A bunch of grown men just hanging out in that area and trucks with single men driving by and talking to the guys that were just posted at the park. Too much crazy stuff going on in this world to not be alert and suspicious of grown men hanging out at a park on their own. read more

Very nice park. Unfortunately local children/teens go unaccompanied by parents and they destroy rules that are on structure and swing on the swings extremely rough to where you're able to feel it. On a few occasions older kids that are not playing, don't allow my child to go down the slide. I asked them to stop & they told me it's a public park. Very rude read more

This is the perfect stop with kids. There are like 6 play structures with that flat rubber ground. Perfect for my little one l, who's learning to walk. There's those musical play structures too. There are well kept grass fields, clean bathrooms and picnic tables! I wish every community invested thus much in a play space like this. Excellent playground! read more

Lost Hills Wonderful Park - Taking a little break on our long drive - Playgrounds Near Me - Lost Hills, California

This park is like an oasis in the middle of this dry, dusty, and mostly barren part of the valley. There is so much to do here a family could spend hours at the park. I come here a few times a week to stretch my legs and let my dog run free. Yes, there are signs indicating dogs need to be leashed, but this place is so big she can run around without bothering anyone else. It is next to HWY 46 which can make it very loud, but the large trees and green grass make up for it. Check out my pictures to see all the "amenities" this park has to offer. read more

This park is a breath of fresh air after being in the car for hours. Brought all of our kids here and it's so fun. It's very well manicured and there are plenty of tables in the shade. You can sit in one spot and see the entire playground and relax while your kids play. The water park saves water. Absolutely an oasis! You would be doing a huge favor for everybody including your dogs if you don't make a stop here (many of us pass this area for a long drive)! It's absolutely well maintained, cleaned and sanitized (in the bathroom that you can smell the cleanliness!). The best part was that there is a nice track field next to it and only if I had a right shoes, I'd jog a bit before getting back on the road!!!! Everything (kids play ground seemed to have updated equipments) about this park was wonderful experience as it accommodates and meet everyone's need to stretch, walk a little and lay in the manicured lawn! read more

An Oasis in the middle of nowhere! Lost Hills Wonderful Park is obviously sponsored by Wonderful Pistachio/Pom. It's clearly a needed public space in Lost Hills and the local Wonderful company delivered. There are plenty of large shade trees to take cover from the sun during the summers triple digit heat. There's a baseball diamond that's being properly taken care of. In all, it's a clean and well taken care of city park that's easily accessed off the 5 or on your way to the beach via the 46. Leashed dogs are welcome too! read more

Are you driving on a long-haul trip and desperately in need of a respite from open road? Lost Hills is a good place to rest for a while, do a picnic, and/or let your rug rats burn off a little steam. To get here, take the Lost Hills exit and then you can hit one of the numerous eateries you'll see, or you can eat later and just go West for a couple of minutes and you'll arrive. Super clean, well taken care of city park, within a couple miles off of the 5. I stopped here for a stretch break on the way to Paso Robles. Bathrooms were quite cleaner than your average park bathroom! Wasn't sure what the splash pad areas hours were, but looked fun! My only concern was there were several men, singlely sitting at park benches around the park creating a very unsafe vibe. Watching the playground etc. While clean & convenient as park area goes, be aware of your surroundings here. read more

It's a great FREE place to stop on the drive up or down the coast. My two toddlers really enjoyed playing with the light/music game thing. There were lots of other families and kids playing. I had to drag my kids away. Lol read more

This place is legit if you are a family traveling with small people on the grapevine. Only 4 min from the I-5- complete with swings, large field and a water splash play area. Water area was not on when we arrived, but we were there before 10. Lots of shade and most importantly CLEAN bathrooms that are maintained. read more

This is a beautiful park in the middle of nowhere! I guess you can consider it a diamond-in-rough with an emphasis on "rough" since Lost Hills is essential a pit stop for many commuters going to the central coast. The park was sponsored and funded by the Wonderful Company (obviously) and is seriously one of THE nicest I have ever seen. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean and there is plenty of parking everywhere. Also, they have a beautiful track and is always well-maintained. I am honestly surprised that park even exists as it bests like 95% of other public parks I have ever been to. It's also dog-friendly so your furry friend can frolic to its delight as long they're on a leash. They even have two community centers where lots of stuff goes on such as community events, dance classes, karate, and etc. This place is truly a gem in this little town. If you're on the way to Bakersfield or on the way to the beach feel free to stop here to stretch or even take a walk here! I've been here at night as well and it always seems very quiet. My only complaint is that IT is in the middle of nowhere, but it's a very clean and beautiful park. A wonderful (pun intended) place to rest or just stretch legs if you're on a long trip. This little city of less than 3,000 people has a better public park than most major cities. Wow! The water part of the park is great for the kids and for cooling off on a hot day. The bathrooms are clean. There are great walking areas, shade areas, a barbecue area, and I hear they are adding computer rooms. It lives up to the "Wonderful Park" moniker that it's been given. read more

Driving 6-7 hours up and down California with young kids can be....less than fun. But a great place to stop, let the kids run out some energy, have a picnic, and make that drive a lot easier is this place. You exit at Lost Hills, stop at the numerous eateries at the truck stops off the highway, than head West for a few minutes. Right off the 5 frwy . This city is a small oasis before a long run of nothing going Westbound on hwy 46. Everywhere you will see and read the Battle for Water going on in the area for the farmers and growers. (So sad) The area of food restaurants offers most of the fast foods around anywhere else. All concentrated in one area. Lots and lots of Big Rigs, saw many accidents of rigs and cars. Don't know who was at fault. So beware of that when you in the area. Perfect little stop halfway between the northern Bay Area and Los Angeles. It has a waterpark, soccer field, basketball court and playground. Essential stop if you got kids that are losing their minds. read more

This is a beautiful park, we stopped here at about 1 in the afternoon to get out of the car and walk around after driving for the earlier park of the day. We explored the park and it was great. We decided to sit in the grass and relax for a few minutes before we hit the road again, two park workers had rode right past us on a golf cart and didn't say a word, next thing you know they go over and start turning the sprinklers on until they got to the ones that were right next to us while looking right at us, our electronics and both of us including my dog got soaked and they literally waited for the sprinklers to hit us full on before they turned them off for a minute to say oh sorry were just doing our job.... Like I said they drove by a few feet from us and didn't say a word. Me my boyfriend and my dog would have happily got up and moved else where if we had the warning to.. Ended up being a terrible experience. read more
