The 787 wasn't too bad from Chicago to Warsaw. However our flight out was delayed 4 hours which forced us to miss our connecting flight and put us on a later flight. The gave some small sandwiches and bottled water and Sprite to try to appease us for the 4 hour delay. The lame snacks didn't help calm me or make me feel better about the delay at all. Our 3rd delay to depart was at 9:15pm. We took off by 9:45pm or so. We arrived with less than an hour to our connecting flight but thankfully this airport is super small. Let's see how the small 3 hour plane on LOT goes to Sofia. They lost major stars for the 4+ hour delay and how they dealt with and managed the situation.

Before booking for our summer trip to Poland + Germany, I read and viewed mixed reviews. However, our actual travel in premium economy exceeded expectations. The flight attendants were always more than patient with our very poor Polish skills, and spoke English very well. The seats were very comfortable. The electronics were adequate, with plenty of viewing and listening options. I watched two Polish films that I recall, and enjoyed both. I suggest you look for the documentary on the archaeology work done in the Vistula River to recover artifacts stolen and lost during the "Swedish Deluge." When I wasn't watching, power options were there for my iPad. In premium economy, and since the flight was smooth, meals were a highlight. Before the trip, it took Therese H. approx. one-hour of phone work to order her gluten-free meals (If you're in the USA, make sure you dial the USA number, as Therese H. started her experience with seven minutes on hold on an international call before she thought better of it). Both of us thoroughly enjoyed the food! They were outstanding, gluten-free version and regular. The only minor complaint is that the wrapper for the very good gluten-free bread was one of those industrial-strength plastics that took quite a bit of work to get into. But better a safe wrapper than contaminated food product. Another tip, as mentioned by some travelers: on a connection through Warsaw Chopin Airport, make sure you don't linger too long in a lounge before you've made it through Border Control TWICE. Returning from Hamburg-Warsaw-Chicago, we went through border control after getting off of plane, but then had to go through border control again to get to our gate to Chicago. Luggage was checked all the way through to ORD, so we didn't have to worry about that part. Dziękuję, LOT Airlines, for a bardzo dobrze experience!

LOT Polish Airlines (LO) is the flag carrier of Poland founded in 1928. Since we were on vacations in Poland & Lithuania, we experimented it. We flew from Gdansk (GDN) in Poland to Vilnius (VNO) in Lithuania via Warsaw (WAW) on June 1 2018. The flight LO3828 was at 5:35AM on a Embraer ERJ-190, we landed in Warsaw for the transit 1h later. Than, we had to run like crazy in the airport to catch flight LO777 who was departing at 7:15AM to Vilnius. We flew on a DHC-8. Once we landed in Vilnius after 55 minutes after, we waited for 30 minutes for our luggages when we finaly realized we were the only ones waiting for nothing and then kind of figuring out that LOT Polish Airlines didn't have enough of 45 minutes transit in Warsaw to make the transfert of our luggages. We filled a report with the employees of the airport and finaly 24h later, we received it at the hotel. There are at least 4 flights between Warsaw and Vilnius and still we had to wait 24h for our luggages...my girlfriend & I were irritated by this situation...I understand that if someone coming from Asia or North America, the airline could lose their suitcase but now, we are just talking about less than 1h flight, the country next door.....The worst part is that I complained and that I wanted a compensation for this situation.....I had to sent many emails to them to get an answer and finaly after 1 month and half of waiting and complaining....I receive few miles on my airline frequent flyer card worth 20$CAD.....1 month and half of waiting once again just for 20$CAD....a real joke.....that's just unacceptable into the service/tourism/hotel industry that I work to wait that long..... Sour experience with this airline and his staff from the flight attendants to the communications staff too. I will never fly again LOT Polish Airlines... 2/5 flew on June 2018
Had a good experience flying with LOT Polish airlines. Purchasing tickets online was a breeze. Flew economy- I was able to bring a carryon bag and purse. Checking a bag will cost you extra. You get updated emails if there were any changes to your flight. Going to Warsaw from JFK was an overnight flight. Dinner was served. The chicken was good. Got to see two movies. Snacks was also served. Seats were comfortable. Staff greeted you as you boarded the plane and said their goodbyes after you deplane. Returning to the states during the morning from Krakow was a short flight to Warsaw. We got snacks and a drink. Warsaw flight to JFK in the afternoon was very pleasant. The airline staff was attentive and we got lunch- Ruske Pierogies (my favorite) as well as a snack. Flight was not packed at all. Will definitely be flying LOT Polish airlines again. They fly over 120 destinations throughout Europe, Asia and North America this was listed on their website. read more

Flew from Krakow to Warsaw and the hardest thing was to check in my luggage. People were rude but I only speak English but I waited hours to check my luggage. Boarding process is unorganized. Planes are no frills but we made it. People clapped in our awkward landing. read more

This airline is a scam. After canceling my flight online 30 min prior to boarding, they refused to help reseat me on another flight and refused to issue a refund. After 3 days of arguing over phone and social media they said they issued a refund, found out yesterday they only refunded half. So after a flight that never even happened, 3 days of added emotional distress, and a missed funeral of a parent, they also don't give you your money back. Useless airline, they just take your money and leave you stuck in airports. read more

This is the absolutely WORST airline in the history of airlines. I requested a reservation change, after MULTIPLE text messages and phone calls directed at them, and they said it was fine. Now, three days before my flight - they informed me that I in fact DO NOT have a ticket (despite literally having my ticket on my email) and that they have issued a refund. I have NO REFUND & NO TICKET now. Additionally, the customer service agent on the phone kept yelling at me and couldn't understand half of what I was telling him. DO NOT travel with LOT. Would give them -1 stars if I could. read more

I flew Lot Air from Chicago O'Hare to Warsaw Chopin on their 787 and then to Krakow im. Jana Pawal II (prop plane). While neither flight took my breath away (please refer to first yelp comment from another member referencing Lot's survey presentation)... It was fairly smooth flying, the staff were very pleasant and the food/ wine selection was good (787 only). I'd fly this airlines again if the price was comparable or less than the other available airlines. read more

AVOID this company! They do not live up to EU laws. My LOT flight was delayed so I missed my connection flight in Warzaw. They didn't inform me in time and why and they didn't help me with another flight to be able to get home and I had to stay the night and were delayed with more than 12h. I couldn't see my loved ones and missed a lot of important meetings due to this. According to EU laws, I as a customer should be compensated. I claimed for compensation to LOT (Passenger.Claims@lot.pl) and got the answer that they will get back within 30 days at latest. Now more than 60 days have gone and NO answers at ALL??? Really bad service and it shows that LOT doesn't care about their customers at all!?! I will never fly with LOT again and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do either!!! :( read more
This is a review of bad services to (1). Polish Airline, (2). El Al Airline (3) Polish Airline Ticket Office Lady works next to the check-in at 1st floor, Warsaw Airport (Lady Brunette in her 50s with glasses) and (4) Polish Airline Office Manager at 2nd Floor, Warsaw Airport (Lady Manager Blonde in her 50s with glasses), (5) 2 of Security Check-In Personnels for El Al Airline (6) The young guy working at El Al Airline check-in that day on 8/26/19 10:10am Warsaw to Tel Aviv, flight #: LOT 5155. I've purchase this ticket from Expedia as part of my trip from Warsaw to Tel Aviv. In fact, my prior leg has put me the night before to stay over night next to Warsaw airport for this morning flight from Warsaw to Tel Aviv. I get to the airport at 8am (exact 2hr ahead of schedule depart time) at Polish Airline check-in counter. The guy at check-in counter was the one trying to help me but couldn't help to find my flight ticket, told me to go to the Polish Airline ticket office right across. That (3) lady mention above prints a paper copy tell me to go back to Polish check-in counter. After a 15minutes back&forth, was the Polish check-in counter guy realize this flight is operated by El Al airline, not Polish Airline. Note: not by this this Polish ticket office lady. The check-in counter guy took me to El Al security check-in counter (time: 8:15am) where I must have spent about 20min with (5) these 2 security check-in at El Al goes round&round of question about my work, my reason to travel, each of my prior stop before get to Warsaw, why I choose my profession and on & onto a bunch of question doesn't mean anything and later I realize they're all just try to delay my chance of making my flight, because I can later hear (6) the young guy at check-in of El Al airline talking to his manager on the phone there're 2 of the passengers he need to get rid of (me being last), because later I figure out--they must have overbooked & take on too much customers from Polish Airline & don't want to admit any more customer to this flight. When I finally done with the 2 security guy (about 8:35am, (6) that young guy at check-in of El Al airline just told me he closed the check-in and that's what his manager told him (with 1.5 hr before scheduled departure time) and I'd need to go back to Polish Airline (7) Expedia. Keep in mind, I have 3 local tour, 7 days of hotel bookings at Jordan & Jerusalem at the coming week. When I go back to Polish Airline ticket office, I can already tell it's a volleyball game between the (4) Polish Airline Manager and El Al Airline Manager to get rid of me. While I still have the time to board, they simply tell me to wait at the counter, refuse to print me a boarding pass, and told me there's no chance I can making any flight by Polish airline or El Al Airline later that day, and refuse to give me any alternatives. I looked-up Expedia any of the flight out of Warsaw to Tel Aviv that day while all these are going on, and saw there were one operated by Polish Airline at 3pm that day, meanwhile (3) the Polish Airline Ticket Office lady & (4) Polish Airline Manager both flat out lie to me saying all flight are fully booked that day. So, bottom line: I knew 1. they overbooked the flight I was suppose be on and didn't want to tell me. 2. puts me and this other poor passenger as volleyball between Polish Airline & El Al Airline saying it's the other company's responsibility 3. they lie about all flight are fully booked the rest of day-refuse to put me to the next flight, so I booked the 3pm flight and walked up to the counter show to that ticket office lady and ask her what's this on my phone? all the sudden there's a space at 3pm flight??? She only can say 'oh... that's the computer system I don't know'. (wait, isn't that your job???) Worse of all these, now I'm back to US, calling (7) Expedia about these, which it's where the original electronic booking & payment goes to, still have the nerve to tell me to call each airline individually after I told them the experience I have to encounter oversea & to purchase another flight ticket to cover myself making each of my following reservation. (where's the customer service, Expedia???) All around bad customer services goes to all 7--(1). Polish Airline, (2). El Al Airline (3) Polish Airline Ticket Office Lady works next to the check-in at 1st floor, Warsaw Airport (Lady Brunette in her 50s with glasses) and (4) Polish Airline Office Manager at 2nd Floor, Warsaw Airport (Lady Manager Blonde in her 50s with glasses), (5) 2 of Security Check-In Personnels for El Al Airline (6) The young guy working at El Al Airline check-in that day on 8/26/19 10:10am Warsaw to Tel Aviv, flight #: LOT 5155. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The only thing I needed was to add an infant to my reservation. A 1-year-old that would fly on my lap. However, you can't do that online, so I had to call. The first 4 times I called, I had to wait about 30-45 min to get an attendant to talk to me. After the 4 attendants connected me to the cashier to finish the process I had to wait another 20-30 min for the call to end itself. 4 times the call ended itself! The 5th time I got an attendant to take my call fairly quickly, but then I had to wait another 2 and a half hours for the cashier to pick up! 2 and a half hours, 150 min, for someone to pick up and say "Ok, your child is included in your reservation. Have a nice evening" Evening, because I spent the ENTIRE day trying to get that one little confirmation. And yes, I asked if I could've done that at the counter, or online. But NO. You can only do that on the phone. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! If I could give 0 stars I would read more

Most of the staff are cold, come across with a superiority complex, present disrespectful, are not hospitable and never smile. I was left feeling like they are paying me to fly LOT vs. the other way around. I felt like they didn't like their job of serving customers. The connecting flights were delayed in 2022 as they were about 20 yrs ago. My luggage was not transferred. The main NY customer service number was going straight into the recording to call their What's App number. And that number was not working. So, I had to drive all the way down to the airport and pay parking to talk to someone. And I was left hanging and had to pay for more parking until supervisor came out. My family and I won"t fly this horrible airline again. read more

If you're going to fly internationally and complain... you're most likely in economy. Flying LOT in premium economy stands up to some of the business service I've received on other airlines. The food is absolutely delisious and the people working the premium economy and business areas are kind hearted and very warm. For the price of the American dollar to PLN - it is a rockin' deal. My only complain would be utilizing the economy restrooms... WOW are you guys gross back there, I've been on some bad domestic flights in the states but nothing compares to the complete lack of respect that these international passengers had for an overseas flight.. read more
Cheapo Air set me up with a trip from Toronto to Vienna using LOT as the main carrier overseas along with a connection to a regional carrier. The price was excellent and this carrier - which apparently has been struggling - has some good bargains. I was generally pleased with the flight. The new fleet of 788/Dreamliner aircraft are fun to fly in despite having just as little leg space in LOT's ( and presumably most other carrier's) economy section configuration as older models. The main criticism I would have for this airline is to try to become more polished, especially in the area of communications. Announcements from or to an English speaking country should be made in clear English and since LOT does not fly to Montreal, flights to and from Toronto should also have announcements in French. The English language announcements given were hard to hear due to accent and insufficient clarity. The loading gates to do not clearly indicate destination and boarding was confusing and clumsy, especially in Warsaw. I think they could do quite well if they trained their staff to get to the level of professionalism of Western European carriers. read more

I was Lot's regular customer for many years. And usually every year I purchase 5 two-way tickets from NY to Warsaw for my family. Every year I sent my kids to Warsaw to their grandparents and Lot was our first choice, but not anymore. Lot canceled few flights due to coronavirus in the Summer, but after 4 months I still did not receive the refund for one of the canceled flights, besides that, I paid an extra $200 to change my other booking (that is the policy I understand). That I do not understand why do I still after 4 months did not receive my refund for the canceled flight (lot canceled the flight, not me)? I talk to 2 customer service representatives today: Patricia 0245 and Daniel 1907. Let's started with Patricia: she could not provide me any information regarding the refund; she could not apply my pending refund toward the new ticket. She said that I can receive the voucher and purchase the ticket by myself later when she does not know, she cannot help me to purchase tickets. In July 2020 when my flight was canceled Lot offered a discount and Plus voucher toward the future flight, I preferred the refund because I did not know when the sky will be open again. Because I still did not receive my refund (it should take a maximum of 90 days by Lot's regulation), I asked Patricia, if Lot has financial difficulties, could she provide me the same offer as it was advertised (voucher and discount)? Her answer was NO. I asked her if it is possible to ask her manager regarding this issue (no refund already for 4 months, no ability to purchase a ticket today, no help). She said there is NO MANAGER only a customer service representative. I said, fine, could someone contact me later and help with my issue? Her answer was NO, because I called Warsaw and it is nighttime, and I must know that managers are not available at night. And no one will call on my international number because I am not in Poland. Really? I called 1 (212) 789-0970- US number, from the US, and it is not supposed to affect me that Lot outsourcing customer service. I asked her if there is an e-mail where I can address my issue? She said NO, and if I don't have any more questions, she said that she is busy. I asked her again if she can help me- she hangs up the phone. I called again, and guess what, Patricia 0245 picked up the phone, and put neon hold... After tried to wait online, because Patricia doesn't want to work, I called again and... Daniel 1907 was on the line. I asked him if there is any way he can help me? He was mumbling, and could not provide any information, except I must wait and call later. Call for what? Obviously, customer service could not answer any of my questions, no one can help me to book the flight, CS e-mail does not exist, managers are not present, money is not returned. It is incredibly sad that due to coronavirus Lot kept unprofessional people help customers. Lot was my favorite international airline, because of the quality of service. But I was surprised that it is in the past. Companies' are relying on regular customers like I and customers should not feel abused and cheated. read more

Not impressed, especially on the international leg of my journey. During our 9.5 hour flights between Chicago and Warsaw, once we reached altitude, we were served our meal, which was the worst tasting thing I have ever had at 35K feet. Then, complete absence of our cabin crew for over four hours. No water, no cursory walks down the aisles to check on us, nothing. At some point, they did come through and give us all a thimble-sized cup of water, but then quickly disappeared again until about an hour before we landed. The second meal was a lump of butter and some cheese on a stale bun that was as tough as an old shoe. OK, I realize that this was a cheap flight (ORD-WAR-KAK), but I've recently paid almost the same to go from ORD-WEIN on Austrian Air. Austrian had a $250 upgrade package to 1st class. It was amazing! on LOT, the upgrade was about $900 and all you got was a reasonably larger seat! No way. I will say that the domestic flight we had in Poland was OK, actually, it was way better than the international flight. Much bigger seats and far better flight attendants. Upon landing back in ORD, the second we hit the ground, about 1/4 of the passengers got up out of there seats and starting pulling luggage from the overhead. We were still taxing! Had this happened on Lufthansa, the crew would have diverted our aircraft to a "passenger re-training area" for additional instructions! Not on LOT, not two shits were given by the crew. Then, even before we pulled into the gate, passengers (Polish, I'm assuming), filled the aisles. What the hell for? They weren't going anywhere until that door was opened, which managed to take about ten minutes for some reason. What a mess. Oh well, I guess this is a case of "you get what you pay for". I give them two stars because LOT got us and our luggage where we were going, and in one piece. apparently, that is all we can ask for. read more

The airline requires you to confirm your ticket 24-48 prior to planned departure from Poland. No reference to it on your ticket - it's just some kind of rule the ticket agents hassle you about if you didn't go thru the step when you show up on time for your check in process. If you have nothing better to do with your time - make the call in US or Poland... you will sit in que for over an hour waiting for a consultant... if you choose polish as your language option, you will be forgotten in this que. when choosing English, at least the automated message tells you what # you are in this que- so that you're not so shocked when you look down on your phone later and realize you had been holding for an hour listening to terrible hold music and no one has bothered to answer your call. Lot airlines -please get with the times and make it easier for YOUR PATRONS to actually be able reach you when they need something !!! read more

How do I assign zero stars? Worst customer service ever experienced. How do I get an email for the CEO? Lost baggage. Damaged baggage. Further damage to baggage. Camera broken. I have traveled in LOT business class and didn't seem to have problems, so I decided to book my leisure flights for my cruise vacations. Worst mistake EVER! My trip became a nightmare thanks to LOT Polish Airlines when they lost my bag in Warsaw, found it in 3 days, and despite all promises to send it to the ports, it never came and just stayed in Venice airport. This "airline" is a government owned company and the only airline in Poland, so you can imagine they could care less about your bag as they rely only on domestic passengers which have no other option but to fly with them. Beware when there is no competition, and is a business that changes management with every new government. On our return flights back we were placed on standby, and the only explanation we were given was the flight was overbooked without really caring. I will not be flying again on this airline, not for business nor leisure. I'm Diamond Medallion in SkyMiles and travel a lot for business, let's spend those dollars in companies that deserve to be in business. read more

I had an aweful experiance that cost too much money and was I treated rudely or given bad info. No one properly checked me in or had had info about my flight or luggage. LOT is always bad but this exceeded the worst and extended for months of bad customer service. I have taken about 20 international flights the past 2-3 years, so have a fair place of comparison. I contacted support and received an auto notice someone would respond in 3 days. I could not get anyone to follow up, so after two months of non-existant support, emailed directly. When I got a response, it ginored the bad communication and customer service and basicaly told me to get lost placing blame on me.. A real class act. Contents of email account sent shortened to make it fit provided space. ------------- ...I recently had a terrible experience flying Lot and star alliance partner Air Canada from Warsaw to Vancouver. I had purchased my tickets in the start of Sept for round trip travel to and from Warsaw on Dec 22nd and Jan 2nd (as I ... needed to be present in Canada for on the 3rd of Jan). Although there were issues checking in online, the travel to Warsaw is not the reason I am writing - the flight back is. ...I arrived to find myself on standby - being informed: The flight was over booked (there were plenty of seats when I bought my tickets), I would have to wait to all others boarded the plane to find out if I can get on at all ...... I could NOT check in my luggage through to Vancouver on Toronto because I was on standby but "a lot colleague would take care .." of my luggage getting to Toronto IF I could get on the plane, and the 2nd leg of my flight would also get taken care of "by a Lot Colleague" who would make sure I had it all checked in and ready and was given a less then helpful pamphlet on travelers rights. I am not Polish and had to get my Passport stamped to exit for the flight .... not knowing if I was getting home for my appointments.... now sitting in a foreign airport and trying to make out any English language announcements.... I asked the "colleague" at the gate ....tells me was "to sit down and wait until everyone has boarded" .... 7 mis before the flight was to leave.... he told me I can now get on the flight, taking the luggage sticker from my standby pass and handing it to me with a new stub, rushing me on the plane. I was not informed about what was happening to my luggage as I did not see it at the gate.... I was not given a boarding pass for the 2nd leg .... ...on the plane ...luggage was coming?, where it was checked into? Was I checked into the 2nd leg? Was I on standby for the 2nd leg to? I found an attendant, the 3rd person I talked to... and was referred to the 4th person .... her manager .... manager heard the story I ....and told me she would remember me and refer me to someone on the ground in 8 hours. I spend the next 8hrs awake among the screaming children ...Of course, a "Lot colleague would take care" of me on the ground. I exit the plane for 90 min laover which in addition to having to do Canadian immigration and customs in Canada, and going through domestic security now included all these new problems. This 5th person on the ground told me... Go to baggage, wait until all the bags are off, if its not there go to lost and found, then find Air Canada on the Left and someone the can help me with my ticket questions ...also told me I could file a complaint online which is now why I am explaining ...6th time now - speaking to 5 Lot employees and Air Canada .. is not complaining to star alliance? ...my bag was ... last off the belt... under 50 minute had to enter Canada and solve my ticket crisis and do security. I stop a Lot employee ... considering poor accuracy of all info... decided to confirm. person cut me off and sounded annoyed she "heard him tell me near the cabin to go to the left after baggage!"... 5th Lot employee ... act annoyed and rude with me? I do customs and enter Canada ... 30 minutes .. until boarding ...was I checked in, where was my boarding pass and if I was still on standby...I waited online again to talk to the 7th star alliance person now at Air Canada... Marie ...was able to find my Air Canada flight which I WAS NOT .. checked completely into, but my luggage was (?) check to Vancouver already? Lot Colleagues handled nothing ...other than not informing me, and putting my luggage where I was not sure I was able to be. ....she was able to find the different flight number listed ...from the Lot number and get me my boarding pass as I ran to drop my luggage, get to security and make it to the gate before boarding so I can sit in my own sweat the next 5 hours... I find this experience ridiculous and the service horrible.... I booked my tickets near 4 month ahead to be subject to this while I watched hundreds ..walk on the plane ahead of me ....while I waited in the unknown and dealt with the ongoing storm of unknown issues. I would like a response and compensation. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. My party of 4 flew from NYC to Warsaw and then Warsaw to Tblisi. The flight to Warsaw was delayed more than 1 hour and right before boarding Lot attempted to change our seats so no one sat together. After protesting, we were able to sit together. On the way to Tblisi we were split up and scattered around the plane even though our reservations were with adjacent seats. No one at the airport even attempted to address our issues. Further, we were charged for our bags, even though there was no ability to pre-pay for luggage on the website. The flight was again delayed for more than one hour. The worst part of the trip was our flight back from Tblisi. We were again scattered around the plane and we were again charged for our bags. The charge was 250 Lari per bag (about $95 USD each) and the airline would not accept dollars, euros or even credit card. We needed to exchange money into Lari, solely so we could ransom our bags. I would not fly this airline under any circumstance unless you want the true third-world experience read more

787 - Dreamliner is a fantastic aircraft, So quiet, I did not realize when we lifted into the air. . The on board air quality is very good and the bathrooms are high tech. Unfortunately, Lot's decision to purchase the most uncomfortable card board seating is a excellent reason never again to fly on Lot airlines. The food is not edible but the attendants were accommodating. I would rather fly a different aircraft and connect to my final destination. One more thing- Lot air needs to upgrade their computer systems because they are not able to show 2 reservations in the same record when checking in. Time to move to the current century. . read more

They waited for a passenger for a delayed flight for more than half hour. The flight air conditioning was switched off until the flight took off. Air line staff was rude and said she does not know about air conditioning. One the runway in hot weather with no AC. They compensated by giving some water while on runway. May be a green airline.Missed my connection flight. Gave a 10$ coupon and the next flight was 4 hours later. The other flight was delayed as they were waiting for few more passengers. Their connections and flight is very rare so they will wait for passengers instead of putting them in next flight which is an irony as my connection did not wait. The food is mediocre, flight attendants are rude and speak english that you may not understand. read more

The only advantages are direct flight to Los Angeles and food. All the rest is bad - lateness, poor service, non-functioning entertainment devices, very high price. I do not recommend. read more

Let me begin by saying that I am a musician....I was traveling with an orchestra that I'm in, and we took LOT Airlines from Chicago O'hare to Paris CDG via Warsaw Chopin Airport, and later from Amsterdam Schipol Airport to Chicago O'hare via Warsaw. We arrived at the Chicago check-in with our carry-ons, bags, and instruments (except for cellos and basses, which we were renting there), and the people at the check-in counter says when we arrive that because we have instruments, we cannot take our carry-ons on board unless we pay a fine.....Seriously, now you tell us we can't bring bags on board? Not only that, but the fine was $100, per bag. What a ripoff. Most of the orchestra tried to stuff carry-ons into bags, but not all of us could. The orchestra covered the fees, and we were told that we wouldn't have to pay again when we transfer, and that they will make sure that when we change planes in Warsaw, we won't have to do this again., and that due to our instruments, we can board first both in Chicago and in Warsaw......so we fly to Warsaw on the Dreamliner. The plane was good, and the flight there wasn't bad......fast forward to Warsaw. We go into the airport and through the mob that is the security lines. We get to the gate, and as we are about to board, we get stopped by the LOT Airlines attendants at the counter. "I'm sorry, but you can only take one carry-on, and the instruments are too long. They will have to go into the belly." These are expensive musical instruments. They are not normal baggage. They cannot withstand the temperature and pressure conditions within they belly. Not only that, but some people's instruments are their only carry-ons. We tell them, we cannot do that, and maybe we could put the other carry-ons down. "No, you cannot do that. You must put the long pieces of baggage in the belly!" Not only that, but they want to charge extra fines again in order for us to keep them up. So the director, who is furious at this point, tells them that we were told in Chicago that this would be settled and that we wouldn't have to go through this again. The Warsaw people deny the claim that Chicago called them (whether Chicago did call them, I still don't know). Them they start telling us that we cannot board the plane for being argumentative, and they try to deny us boarding. Some of the orchestra (cellists and bassists, as well as a few violinists), were already on the plane at this time, because LOT never noticed the instruments until someone arrived with both the instrument and the bag. After much arguing, they let everyone not in the orchestra board first, so they can take up the room we need for our instruments in an effort to make us put them in the belly. We finally boarded with our instruments, the last people to board, to find that we re in a tiny, old, dirty, cramped 737 plane. We find places to put the instruments (mine was up above, but nowhere near my seat), and take our seats we watch them load the suitcases in the belly, and we see that they are not handling them carefully, throwing them onto the conveyor belt. And they wanted us to put our valuables there! Later on the flight, I go to the bathroom, sick. On the earlier flight, I ate chicken. Apparently, everyone who ate chicken got sick from it. Lovely. It took me a few days to get over it. After we arrive in Paris, we go to the baggage claim, and we find out that LOT lost a member's suitcase. We finally find out that they found the suitcase the day we were taking a train to The Hague, seven days after the original flight. We get the suitcase, and finish the trip. On the way home, we take LOT, and for some reason, we had no problems this time.....how odd. Then on the plane, I see a survey from LOT. I take it. Question 1: How would you describe the experience of flying B787? Options: A. Wonderful, B. amazing, C. Breathtaking. What kind of survey is this? Maybe it is the only way to get good ratings for this airline. Forcing good reviews. Well, here is my review: I would never take this airline again. The only pros were free meals, even on short flights (but one made me sick), friendly crew on the plane, and the Dreamliner. The customer service, especially at the airports, was horrendous. If you have a musical instrument with you, don't take this. Take United, Air France (even though I hate the food on Air France), or Luftanstha instead. read more

To contact LOT Polish Airlines through phone for reservations and general inquiries, call their service center at 1(888)(669)(0167)™. This 24/7 toll-free customer support line provides real-time help with flight bookings, group booking, rebooking, reservation changes, cancellations, refund requests, and general travel inquiries. I traveled with this airline recently, and the overall experience was smooth and well coordinated. From booking the ticket to collecting my baggage at the destination, the process felt organized and passenger-friendly. The ticket was booked online a few days before departure. The website was easy to navigate, and all important details such as flight schedule, fare summary, baggage allowance, and seat selection were clearly mentioned. The payment process was quick, and I received confirmation immediately, which gave me confidence that everything was properly arranged. On the day of travel, I completed web check-in to avoid waiting in long lines. At the airport, the ground staff were polite and professional while assisting passengers. They managed the counters efficiently and handled queries calmly. Boarding was announced clearly and carried out in an orderly manner. The flight departed close to its scheduled time, which made the experience more convenient. Inside the aircraft, the cabin was clean and well maintained. The seating was comfortable for an economy-class flight, and the leg space was reasonable. The cabin environment felt calm throughout the journey. The crew members were friendly, attentive, and professional. They responded quickly whenever assistance was required and ensured passengers were comfortable. In-flight service was satisfactory. Meals and beverages were served on time, and the quality was decent. Safety instructions were explained clearly before takeoff, and the crew ensured all guidelines were followed properly. Their communication was polite and reassuring, which added to the overall positive experience. The landing was smooth, and the arrival procedures were handled efficiently. Disembarkation was managed properly, and baggage delivery was timely. My luggage arrived safely without any damage or delay. Overall, the journey was comfortable and hassle-free. While there is always room for minor improvements, such as additional entertainment options or expanded meal choices, the overall service quality was reliable. Based on this experience, I would consider choosing this airline again for future travel.!! read more

LOT operates primarily through its main customer service helpline at 1 (877) 456-2077. This main toll-free number remains open 24/7 to provide assistance with bookings, travel updates, baggage support, and passenger inquiries. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell Again. read more

If You Have One Chance to Choose Another Airline, Do It! Our recent experience flying with LOT Airlines from Vilnius to Miami via Warsaw was beyond disappointing. What was supposed to be a smooth and well-planned journey turned into a frustrating and stressful ordeal due to the airline's mismanagement and complete lack of customer care. We booked three seats--two for my husband, one for myself, an additional seat added to ensure a comfortable journey for us and our pet. Everything seemed fine during online check-in for the first leg of our flight. However, at the airport, LOT's staff only issued us two boarding passes and assured us that the third seat was reserved. When we boarded the plane in Warsaw, we were shocked to find that the seat we had paid for was given to another passenger. LOT's mistake not only caused us significant discomfort but also resulted in our booking being falsely marked as a "no-show." The most frustrating part wasn't just the mistake--it was how LOT handled it. Despite having clear proof of payment and check-in, we received no meaningful support or apology. To make matters worse, the cabin crew, while technically following procedures, lacked the most basic empathy or communication skills. No one acknowledged our distress, offered any kind of solution, or even apologized. Imagine being on a long-haul flight, having paid extra for comfort, and being completely ignored when that service was not provided. LOT Airlines may offer pet-friendly travel, but our experience proves that when things go wrong, they do not take responsibility. If you have an option to fly with another airline, take it--you'll save yourself a lot of stress and disappointment. read more

DON'T EVER FLY WITH LOT! NOT EVEN FOR FREE!!!! I fly about 75 times a year for both business and pleasure. Every flight I have taken with LOT has been a disaster. There is a reason why they call it Later-or-Tomorrow Airline in the Polish community. Today, Polish airline LOT has cancelled a second flight from Toronto back to Poland. All reps have magically despaired and no assistance has been given for 24 hours to the guests. There is a man there that lost everything and is trying to go back to his mother country, there is a woman with 2 new borns who used to be beat by her husband and is going back to Poland to live with her mother... These are only 2 examples of the individuals that are being ignored by the Polish Airline. They do not even have enough money for food or anywhere to stay another night and wait to find out when the next flight will be. Few months ago my Father who is a senior engineer for northrop grumman took this shitty airline to visit his brother in Poland. He said "I am shock that I made it there and back. The condition of the plane is unacceptable and fines should be given to this airline for endangering lives daily. One of their planes will do down soon" AirCanada offers better flights as well as you can fly to Berlin for cheaper and know you wont be late or die. read more

Worst airline ever with NO care about the passengers!! I had a ticket with this airline, I missed the flight and I didn't fly with this flight, however I was just there 3, 4 minutes far from the gate. The corresponding people didn't call my name, I didn't hear anything, otherwise I could just run to arrive to the gate for boarding, and even when I arrived there they didn't say anything, so I just thought the flight has delay. Then I asked people standing at the gate myself and they said boarding is closed now. I asked them for a help or rebooking the flight or even giving me a phone number to call the airline, they didn't help at all. Then I found a number myself and called LOT customer service, they also didn't help me at all. They could rebook the flight for the same day or even another day which is the least that every airline does that for their passengers but LOT customer service didn't do that. I had to spend a lot of money and time that day at the airport because of this. This airline has basically NO customer service to help passengers and they actually don't care about the passengers and their money and time at all. I will never buy a ticket from this airline. read more

I had a flight booked with LOT from Kiev to Los Angeles scheduled for March 16,2020 that was cancelled by the Airlines. The email I received from them indicating my flight was cancelled also indicated that I would need to contact them prior to the flight date to receive a full refund otherwise I would be given a voucher to be used at another time. I contacted them well in advance and was assured a full refund, it is now July 27,2020 nearly 6 months later and still no refund. After many phone calls and being placed on hold for nearly an hour each time I have been told to wait 60 days then again 30 days and now again today told another 60 days. I had other flights scheduled during this Covid time period and understand the delay but I've received refunds from the other Airlines long ago and this agency still has $900. of my money and is not returning calls. There are no proactive measures being taken to return my money by this agency and I believe they are hopeful I will just forget and move on. My advice is to consider another Airline when booking! read more

I reached assistance and decided to call this business at 1833683 (8600) . The response time was decent and the person on the line tried to help as much as possible. I had to be transferred once, but the second representative handled things better and gave me the correct information. It wasn't perfect, but it was still a workable experience. I'm leaving this review to share how things went for me personally. read more
