A few times while sitting in the waiting room, several patients have shared their stories of past experiences with other oral surgeons and discussed the vast improvements in their oral health once they found Dr. Quaroni. Whereas U.S. medical doctors seem to view patients as mere business customers more often, and don't bother to check up on them or treat them as equals, Dr. Quaroni is an exception to this decline of patient care and is, instead, exemplary in his care and treatment of his patients. They even sprayed my arm with a cooling agent so I couldn't really feel them administering the IV for my sedation if you're concerned about that part at all. Can't remember the actual removal process either and overall the pain wasn't actually that bad (maybe like 5/10) I just kept to the pain med schedule they recommended for the first 3 days post op and then switched to tylenol and still used the strong ibuprofen. Just follow the instructions they give you and you should be golden. Honestly the worst thing has been not being able to eat like a normal person... I miss chips! They also have an emergency line you can call after hours (I didn't have to use but good to know I could call). Absolutely would recommend this office and I'm definitely coming back if I need any other dental work here. Can y'all fill my cavities too?!

My first experience with this place was with Dr Najy K Zarroug, and from the start it was off. Last time I had any dental work done was done by my regular dentist (he's since moved to San Antonio) and he did it all in-house. The cleaning, root canal, cavity, tooth extraction and crown. This time around, my current main dentist cleaned my teeth and sent me to a root canal doc who also prepared a crown, then I went back to my regular dentist to put on the crown, I then sent to an oral surgeon who charged for a pretreatment meeting followed by the day he took two teeth out. Badly. Upfront I let them know I'm terrified by the dentist. The root canal doc prior to seeing him and my former dentist all have enough shots that I stay pain free but from the start Dr. Zarroug wasn't having it. He kept going repeatedly without providing more pain relief, my demeanor in the chair (scared and begging) was upsetting him at one point angerly saying 'I should have had you put to sleep for this!' Which didn't help calm me down. He eventually gave me a few more shots but there wasn't much at that point left. We left and about two hours later I was out of the gauze he'd sent me home with in case of bleeding from the wound. At this point the bottom part of my jaw was literally just full of blood and literally overflowing onto my face. Driving back in the car the smell of raw fresh blood was thick in the air. I got back and pretty hysterically demanded help from anyone but him, I was forced to deal with him again as he was the only doctor there, and he gave some excuse about only using 1 stitch to hold the spot where two back teeth had been in order to get me out of the chair faster as I was clearly upset. He sort of apologized while blaming me for my attitude and for general squirming. He eventually, with the help of another employee, gave me more pain management shots and sewed in 4 more stitches and I left, swearing never to return. I swore I'd do the two teeth left on the other side somewhere else but my main dentist shared that a member of his family had a horrible experience with Dr Zarroug and asked me to use the other surgeon there whom his family member liked Dr Andrea Quarroni. I gave in as I was in a place where I had to do something because the situation had gotten so bad so I went back. The new doctor was super kind and gentle and we set it up. I told him about my poor experience prior focusing on the bleeding and my fear of dentists. I trusted him very much We decided to knock me out which was the right choice and I still stand by that, but afterwards I was back at home it began again. Less than 2 hours later my mouth was full. It seems the doctor that day did one thread into 3 stitches (I don't get it either) but again two hours later when I was told it would have bleeding it's again pouring blood and I'm now on the phone with the after hours regarding my bleeding which won't stop trying all the tricks he suggested (tea bags on the wound, doubling my gauze and keeping it on for 30 mins and repeating that for 30 more mins after) He offered to see me tonight in his office 30 mins away sharing he'd had other incidents involving this clinic prior. I'm going to try to keep gauze on it (it becomes saturated within 15 mins) and return to another dentist tomorrow. While Dr Quaroni was much kinder and such I feel he dropped the ball with my stitches. He was told of my bleeding issues and still there's another bleeding issue. This place is VERY pay us now, hardcore when it comes to getting paid so I'd expect the pre-paid services to be quality, maybe it's because they know if they billed people they'd never get paid. On that same topic of them wanting to be paid so badly but who pays for my pain and suffering as blood runs literally from my mouth 12 hours later, are they gonna pay for my gas if I have to drive 30 minutes in the middle of the night... Avoid this place especially the location on 38th at all costs! Between my two trips there, and now the stories from my own dentist and the on call dentist it seems like you'll be avoiding a regrettable decision!

I was referred to Dr. Ding by…read moremy family dentist - Dr. Sura at Reveal Dental next door when I needed to remove 4 wisdom teeth and the other 4 regular teeth for my orthodontics treatment. If you go to Dr. Ding, I can 1 million percent guarantee you that you're in great hands and will have an awesome and painless experience. I came from Vietnam and had really bad and painful experience (even from cavity filling) with dentists there which has traumatized me until today. I came to Dr. Ding in Oct 2018 for a consultation when I knew that there might be a potential of removing 4 wisdom teeth. Dr. Ding's staff took my x-ray, and Dr. Ding explained everything very thoroughly. He dropped me a bomb (which I knew he would) that I had to let those 4 wisdom teeth go because they were impacted. My top ones came out in an angle leaning on my big molars. My bottom ones only peaked out of my gum for a little and they were sideway. He checked my nerves on the x-ray and said there was nothing to worry about since my nerves stayed low. One thing that gave me chills was that he would need to cut my gum open to remove the impacted bottom wisdom teeth because of the way they grew. That part freaked me out. I've never had anything cut open my whole life, and now I would have to do it in my mouth? I postponed the decision for a few months until my orthodontist told me that I really needed to let them go AS WELL AS additional 4 more to make sure for my teeth to straighten out. In mid May 2019 I was brave enough to come to Dr. Ding again and told him I was ready for the procedure and needed him to pull 4 more. He went through everything clearly and thoroughly with me again. I would be put to sleep through IV during the procedure, just so I could have the best and painless experience. He also warned me ahead of time that I would hate him for 2-3 days because my bottom wisdom teeth would be a bit difficult to take out, so I would expect to be sore a bit more. My appointment was at 7:30am and I was taken in right at 7:30am. The assistant got my blood pressure, put wires and stickers on my body to measure my breathing during my sleep. Dr. Ding waited no time to come in. He's also an expert in injecting IV. I just followed his instruction on how to release or hold my hand, and everything was in without me feeling a needle poking my skin. I was then immediately assisted with an oxygen mask. Dr. Ding then said something and before he finished his one sentence, I was knocked out around 7:40am. Then I heard people talking and tools being put away. An assistant asked if I was awake and the procedure was successfully done. I looked at the clock and it was 8:10am - it only took Dr. Ding 30 minutes or less to pull 8 teeth in one seating. Is he a superman?! I was then moved to the recovery room, still in and out of the other world. Dr. Ding went over my medicine with my husband, what I should and shouldn't do, and all that good stuff. I left the office 30 minutes later. Recovery: Painless and too good to be expected. Dr. Ding called me that afternoon to check I was doing, how the bleeding was, and how I felt. It was very nice thoughtful of him to do so. I already expected to be sore and uncomfortable for 2-3 days as he warned me, but I was not sore at all. My cheeks did not even swell, I didn't get to look like a chipmunk. People couldn't tell that I got the procedure done from just looking at me or talking to me. I stayed on the prescribed Ibuprofen and only took the strong pain killers on the day of the procedure just to calm it down after the anesthesia wore off. Other than that, I still have a full bottle of the strong pain killers. The most important thing is to follow his instructions very carefully and everything will be just fine. Post-op follow-up: One week after the procedure, I came back to visit Dr. Ding again to make sure I was healing properly, and I was. Dr. Ding was always available to answer any question/concern and see me if something was bothering me. The recovery process really shows how skilled/talent Dr. Ding is. Even with those complicated teeth, he pulled it off as if nothing happened, and I was so impressed. Pricing: I see reviews saying that it's pricey here. As a very happy patient, I'm confident to tell you that you get what you pay for. When it comes to your health, you can't put a price on it. I strongly recommend you to go with Dr. Ding for any oral or maxillofacial needs. I'm not saying he's expensive or cheap because I didn't compare prices anywhere. I 100% trust my dentist's referrals. When I went in the last time, they insisted that I have x-rays and that if I didn't, they were not "running the business as they were taught ". So as it turns out, Dr. Peters wouldn't even clean my teeth! She talked to me like I was an errant child who was misbehaving. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I reached out to the owner of the practice and she called me back and apologized for how things happened and even offered to do the x-rays for free. Although I greatly appreciate that, I have no desire to go back and have to see Dr. Peter's. So I advise if you go to this practice make sure you have health insurance or unlimited money because people who don't are not really welcome.

Dr Campbell is very knowledgeable as well. He's always checking to make sure you're okay during whatever process. Fast forward to the day of surgery, they make a driver come with you and stay during the entire time of surgery. You're given instructions orally as well as written instructions just in case. After that, I don't remember much of anything until I woke up again. A few hours after surgery Dr Campbell personally calls you to make sure everything is fine. You're also given his cell number beforehand in case of emergencies after hours. I did however have complications with my removal due to the tooth being so close to my nerve. Because of this, the staff made it easy for me to schedule a follow up multiple times and though I was concerned, Dr Campbell's knowledge of the procedure put me a little at ease by letting me know that sometimes the healing process takes time and this case was rare. I'm just always the lucky rare person unfortunately. While I'm still not fully healed, I appreciate the urgency to respond to my concerns and great customer service.

I'm not upset about this as I am a lawyer and I understand that a second effort to smooth out the bone is very probably necessary in some cases. The healing of the bone in some cases may leave rough spots on the bone where dentures will not fit ideally. The staff and Dr. Ormeni were excellent. I think this is a good medical provider and I highly recommend this facility and specifically Dr. Ormeni.
