I requested if she could please reduce to a thinner sized instrument, and she replied "you're not a virgin anyway, it doesn't matter". I couldn't believe how unprofessional she was. She continued on with the appointment in the same rude attitude, being snappy with her replies to my questions. Some questions I couldn't even finish asking because she would cut me off. I was very close to walking out of the middle of the appointment (I've never done that before). Was she having a bad day and took it out on me? That would be the only reasoning I could possibly come up with for having one of the worst doctors appointments (and doctors) I've ever had. I will never be a patient of Dr. Scanlon again. I switched to Dr. Farhi, who was in the same office for The Women's Comprehensive Center, and she was great. Dr. Farhi was very accomodating to my comfort and concerns as a patient, she is the best.

Dr. Kasinak asked me a total of 3-4 questions (the generic How old when you had your first period? Are your periods regular? How long have you been trying), and that was the extent of the visit. She simply looked at me and told me I looked healthy so everything would be fine, that I should keep trying, and that I was only stressing myself out. I tried to ask if we could run tests or talk about fertility options, and she dismissed me, saying there was no point because I was only stressing myself out. She saw that I got upset with the answer and said if I still wasn't pregnant by August, to come back to discuss the options at that point. I made an appointment with a different OB a week later, who ACTUALLY LISTENED to my concerns, and she ran tests and saw I did have a fertility issue and had to go through IVF. Not to mention, I was charged $343 for Dr. Kasinak asking me three questions and dismissing me after less than 10 minutes. While my insurance paid for part of this, I still had to pay $186 out of pocket, and for what? If I had listened to her, I still would not be pregnant. It was a terrible experience and OB, in my opinion. I advise you to stay away.

She is efficient and really cares about her patients. I wish I had known her when I was having my second child. I would have loved to have had her deliver my daughter. :) I had chosen male OB/GYN doctors in the past, but I have found that Dr. Gerber is a great doctor as well. :) She is responsive to my questions and gives me all the options available. I am not disappointed with her bedside manner or care. I will definitely see her year after year and recommend her to women who need a new OB/GYN doc.

From the moment I first went to the office and they charged me the incorrect copay to weird things with scheduling to going back & forth with clients a million times while others are waiting to just generally being unfriendly - not a good first impression. Short side is - Go somewhere else. Despite having some great nurses, front staff is unprofessional and a hot mess and is not able to handle sensitive situations.

After 2 weeks of nothing getting done, I decided to go to the new office location where I had to explain AGAIN what was needed to have the office manager claim "this was the first he was hearing this". I asked if the doctor could submit the preauthorization that day (since I am running out of medication) and he said, "well the doctor is very busy". The preauthorization STILL HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED. Good thing it's birth control and not any life-saving medicine. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor.
