This office is a joke as far as valuing your time. If you schedule an appointment for a certain time be sure to allocate at least 2 hours past the appointment time because they completely overbook. It's a shame too bc their have a couple great doctors that don't deserve to have angry women waiting for them. This is the third time I've waiting more than an hour for my appointment (1.5 hours today) and it definitely doesn't make me feel like they respect me as a patient or a person. If I didn't like my doctor So much I wouldn't punish myself by coming to this office ever again. read more

This place will reject you if you are pregnant and wanting an ultrasound!!!! I had my first ultrasound here when I was 8 weeks and tried to get a second one at 34 weeks and they completely turned me away. If anyone mentions the idea of wanting natural delivery or mentions considering working with a midwife, they will look at you as if you are absolutely crazy and judge you. I needed help and the nurse immediately made it about money, my insurance and then scolded me that I have not been seen enough for them to accept me as a patient anymore. I'm gonna go with Sherri's rating scale here, because I'm here for the same reason. I saw Maureen Duffy for the majority of my time going to WomanCare and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER. She is amazing and she made me feel comfortable and that says a lot, because being at the gyne is unCOMFORTABLE! I have to tell you, I called twice this year to try to schedule an annual visit, seeing as I'm very comfortable and pretty much ONLY comfortable with Maureen, I have endured serious sexual trauma so it's hard to get to that point. My insurance has changed, BUT I thought since I had a good relationship with Maureen maybe I could pay full price in a payment plan (YAH I LIKE HER THAT MUCH). Y'all I kid you not, as soon as I told them I had a state insurance plan, you could hear the absolute disdain in their voice. "We don't accept that" I asked if I could pay full price. "You don't want to pay that". I asked if I could get an estimate of what it would be. "You wouldn't be able to pay it". I asked to speak directly to my gynecologist. And the woman on the phone hung up on me. I've had two HORRIBLE times calling in, trying to communicate directly with Maureen, and both times I was treated less than human based on what kind of health insurance I have. They put on a friendly, professional front, but I question their competency. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a few months and have had a few problems. Every single time I go into WomanCare or speak with one of the nurses on the phone, I have to explain to them every detail of what is going on. Shouldn't this be in my chart? Isn't that the purpose of my chart? So that you know what's going on before you call me, and so that when you call me, you can speak to me intelligently and about relevant information? I shouldn't have to explain myself every time. If they're incapable of reading my chart in order to convey the simplest information to me, then why would I trust them to do so when it actually matters, and when my health, or the health of a baby is at stake? read more

I've been going to WomanCare since 2014. The exam rooms are clean and well equipped. Front office and waiting rooms are clean and comfortable. Water, coffee and tee available. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dr Cucco is my favorite. He is professional and makes you feel very comfortable. Dr Cucco also delivered my daughter at NCH. I had a great experience and felt safe under his care!!! I really can't say anything bad about anyone at WomanCare. I also see Dr Vaughn, Dr Keith and Dr Kasinak. Every one of them is professional and compassionate. All the nurses are awesome and the ones that do bloodwork .... you don't get poked by the needle 10x in order for them to draw blood so they're super fast and they know what they're doing. I go to WomanCare for a lot of things besides just my annual exam.... I had a sinus infection and my general practitioner wasn't able to see me for a week but I called WomanCare and they saw me the same day. Can't thank them enough for always working with me and accommodating my schedule preferences. read more

We just moved to the area this past March and then my wife became pregnant shortly thereafter. She did a lot of research and settled on WomanCare because the quality of the entire practice is most important to us seeing as you're not that likely to have your primary doctor deliver after hours or on the wkend because of the rotation. We've been to 10+ visits at the Schaumburg and Palatine locations and have always had an exceptional experience. We really like the modern decor and ambiance and the office staff have been nothing but kind to us. My wife had preterm labor with our 1st and now 2nd child and it really makes me feel good to know that many of the doctors there have been through the same thing with multiple children. Probably the most impactful story for me is when my wife went in to see Dr. Cucco. She was in a horrible job situation, we were packing up to move downtown, and we had been to NCH 3x the previous week with preterm labor. She NEVER has a meltdown and as he kindly asked how things were going with the pregnancy and as she shared details, she just started crying. He came over and gave her a hug and told her everything would be ok. I wasn't able to be there at that appt so knowing that she was in the arms of someone that caring in a really rough situation spoke volumes to me. Even though we are moving downtown, we will drive back to Palatine to see these Doctors. I highly recommend them!! The only reason I took one star off is because my wife requested her records since we were moving downtown and the office told her it would cost $27. We both work in the software technology field and will never be happy with any answer short of being able to export the records to PDF format and putting them on our portable thumb drive or faxing them to our fax2pdf gateway phone number so we can have the digital copies. I've been able to do that with every provider I've ever seen the past 7+ years without a cost (except univ of chicago and they're slowly becoming more digital in their processes). My advice is to build the average cost of this process (employee scanning things or exporting to PDF from digital system) into office visit charges somehow so that its not offensive to have to pay again to get the records for the procedures you've already paid hundreds/thousands for. read more

I give my doctor 5 stars - no complaints there whatsoever. As far as the office staff goes, however, I would give ZERO stars if possible. The front office staff is generally and consistently not helpful, unfriendly, uncaring, and often just plain SNOTTY. I have told my doctor about this and have asked her to give this feedback to the practice manager, but nothing ever seems to change. The doctors who own this practice should be aware of how their office staff is treating their patients, AND they should do something to correct it. As much as I love my doctor, the day may come when I reach a point that I just don't want to deal with it anymore and I'll find another doctor. read more

So I'm here about once a month if not more with my pregnant wife. The place is tucked away on the far end of a small strip plaza and may be hard to spot but it's there. The people, from the receptionists to the doctors are all very nice here. It's clean and quiet. It would get a full five but there was one time where I think miscommunication had us waiting nearly 45mins just for an ultrasound when the tech had been free taking people who had appointments after us. Anyways, for the most part all the docs are great. We've met with all of them and while having some favorites, thankfully they all seem like they fit perfectly there. read more

Okay, lets be honest- going to the gynecologist; not everyone's favorite thing to do. However, if its that time of year or you need to get something checked out, I highly recommend Dr. Keith at Womancare. I selected Womancare and Dr. Keith after changing insurance plans. I had absolutely no prior knowledge of Dr. Keith or the clinic prior to going today. I simply selected the clinic and Dr. Keith because it is close and she was in my insurance network. When I realized where the clinic was located, I was immediately skeptical. The clinic is located in a slightly older, run down strip mall near a mexican restaurant. Not exactly what I think about when considering a "nice doctor's office". The actual building itself from the outside is pretty plain and underwhelming. Yet, the inside completely makes up for it. When i entered, I was surprised at how nice and inviting the lobby was. I completely forgot how shabby the outside appears. The exam rooms are even better. I honestly felt like I was at a spa and about to get a massage, rather than an invasive pap. Dr. Keith was even better! Not knowing at all what to expect in regards to personality, bed side manner, etc. I was a little nervous about the appointment. She immediately put me at ease. She was extremely personable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. The actual exam was far better than others I have had in the past. Very quick, gentle and I guess as comfortable as it can be. My only qualm with the entire experience was the friendliness of the nurse who checked my vitals, weight, etc. She could have been a bit more engaging -- but for me, what really matters is the doctor, so who cares about the nurse. I would defiantly recommend Dr. Keith and Womancare. I wish I would have known about her and the clinic sooner! read more

So I've been experiencing terrible cramping in my lower abdomen and I was referred by a friend to a doctor at this office. I called and made an appointment on a Friday and the earliest they could get me in was the following Thursday. I'm still in pain. I called them back on Saturday to make an earlier appointment. They said they could get me in Monday and that they also couldn't find my original appointment. So today is Monday and I assumed "earlier" meant today. When I walked in they couldn't find my appointment and said I was actually scheduled for NEXT Monday. First of all how is that earlier and I'm sorry who is making the scheduled that continues to not even get me in the system much less on the correct day? Immediately did not have a good impression when I walked in and the place was filled with giant ads for the "Ideal Protein diet", which I soon discovered was a ketogenic diet. How any healthcare professional could ethically promote a "medical" keto diet to vulnerable patients is gross. It takes a basic biochemistry class to understand these diets are for very specific medical conditions and are not healthy nor sustainable for regular individuals, but I guess the kickback they receive from this company are worth more than their patients. My biggest gripe, and most concerning, was that I had specifically asked to see a physician (not doctor, because many NPs are calling themselves that nowadays and I wanted it crystal clear) because I had a chronic, complicated problem that I wanted to see an actual gynecologist for. When the provider walked in, she introduced herself by her first name, and NEVER told me her role (which is illegal in some states). It wasn't until I got home and looked at the online portal that I realized she was a nurse practitioner--I was so upset that I cried. Not to mention the appointment itself was pointless as she suggested some expensive essential oil suppositories and prescribed a random antibiotic that my Costco pharmacy had never even heard of and had to special order. I implore anyone reading to ask for a physician unless you have a routine issue. You are paying the same amount. This is not to say NPs don't have their roles and are helpful--but when I specifically ask for a physician because I want the benefit of their thousands of extra hours of education, I expect to see the physician. I have since switched to a clinic where their providers make it very clear what their degree is, and doesn't have a MD/DO come in just once or twice a week. read more

Although I already wrote a scathing review of Dr. Cucco on the Schaumburg location's Yelp profile (one of the worst doctors I have ever seen--please go see the review for more details), I have also visited this Palatine office and have had extremely poor experiences with WomanCare as a company. The nurses at WomanCare were extremely unknowledgeable. They would make suggestions to me before I saw the doctor that had nothing to do my own health situation (as if they had barely skimmed my health history before offering me advice that I could have found in a magazine). In addition, WomanCare prescribed me the same medication twice, because they had "lost" the record of the first time I was on the medication. Lastly, everything at that company is automated, and it can take hours--even days--to actually get in touch with a person there. All in all, this company was some of the worst health care I've ever received. Please do yourself a favor and research other gynecologists in your area before ever coming here. read more

Cant say much about this office, except you don't feel like you're truly "taken care of". I personal started going there because it was right around the corner from my house. I had been going there for years and can honestly say that I never once saw the same doctor (not a good sign). Call it a hunch but I get this money hungry vibe from them as well. Either way, every time I went a majority of the time I spent there was waiting to be called up for my appointment. The amount of time a doctor spent with you in the room was minutes and they always seemed like that didn't care or listen to me at all. If I could give Dr. Cucco and his staff 10 stars I would! Dr. Cucco is THE epitome of what a doctor should be...he truly cares about his patients and treats them like people, not like cows in a giant cattle call, which is how I feel when I visit other clinics. He's been my doctor for over 10 years and is now the doctor of a few of my friends, too. If it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't be alive. Ovarian cancer is the deadliest gynecologic cancer and generally kills those it strikes. I am alive today b/c Dr. Cucco went above and beyond diagnosing pain I had that turned out to be ovarian cancer. I honestly can't say enough about him and highly recommend him. Oh, and lest we not forget about his FANTASTIC med spa! I feel WONDERFUL each time I visit his spa...the employees care about YOU as a person (they're all really personable) and won't treat you as simply a source of revenue. I drive an hour to visit Dr. Cucco and the spa and find it WELL worth my time. Trust me ladies, don't waste your time anywhere else...you only get one body, so don't mess around with it :) read more

I see Dr. Weiss and she does a great job of remembering who you are even with her working in 3 different locations and dealing with 100s of patients. She takes very good care of you and makes you feel very comfortable. I came to this office after being referred by my primary care physician for abnormal bleeding. After having lost a little girl at 25 weeks I was scared to death. Dr. Kahan did not take a personal history before a d and c and in recovery put me next to a child which made my ptsd symptoms go crazy. I felt that he would have definitely made other choices had he known one thing about me. It is obvious that he thinks very different of women who have lost babies as that they are less. I've been a Womancare patient for 26 years. I have gone in for routine annuals yearly. The staff is always so friendly and my doctor, Dr. Cucco is wonderful and professional. Last year when I received some concerning results he called me and took the time to explain what needed to be done. He answered all my questions! He helped arrange for me to meet the specialist and get scheduled for further tests. I was called immediately with results and told the next plan. I felt so taken care of!! I've been going to WomanCare for more than 15 years and I've always received good service that I trust. I am now expecting my first child, which has really forced me to get to know the practice inside and out and I've enjoyed my experience with minimal issues In particular, I adore Dr. Keith, Dr. Parra and Dr. Cucco. Dr. Kasniak can be a bit a cold/aloof, but she knows what she's doing, which is what matters in the end. Audrey, the ultrasound tech based out of the Woodfield office is incredible and someone who honestly treats me like a daughter with her kindness and approachability. In terms of negatives, the nurses can run hot and cold, but I feel like you find that anywhere. Also, the ultrasound tech out of the Palatine office isn't the most personable and can be a bit abrupt, but again, she knows how to do her job, which is the most important part. I would recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Cucco and his team at WomanCare Palatine. I'm writing this review from the labor and delivery unit, because I had such a positive experience with him as my OB. Every visit was pleasant, and his practice is run so efficiently. He took his time with me at every visit and truly treated me like I was his family. He made labor and delivery seem like it would be a fun experience, and I actually ENJOYED my birthing experience! The L & D room was calm, light hearted and before I knew it my little angel was in my arms. I am encouraged to have more babies, and that's only because of the amazing experience I had with Dr. Cucco and his staff. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby and me!! Dr. Jackman was the doctor I saw here. I am 19 and went to her for the first time and was I ever disappointed. She kept pushing the vaccine they want everyone to get now. I told her no. I told her I was a virgin and had no plans to be active in the next couple of years and didn't need it. She acted like it was impossible for a girl my age to not be sexually active! What an insult.And they were very expensive. (Others have mentioned this, too.) So I won't be back. I have found a very nice practice where they treat me like a patient and not a guinea pig for some new vaccine! read more

I've been to WomanCare in Palatine twice for my annual exam. Each time, they had me wait for an hour and half before the doctor finally arrived. I specifically saw Dr. Mitchell both times, and both times she was extremely late. I would have given this facility/doctor a rating of 1 based on just the utter lack of respect for patients' time, but the staff is generally nice and the exam itself was just fine. This is not meant to be a personal attack on the facility or the doctor, but should serve as a warning for those of you who have day jobs and have to work! They always tell patients to arrive early, but at this facility, you could arrive an hour late and the doctor would still not be there yet! You might be better off with another doctor or facility. It's a shame to rate low for one crappy Dr who happens to be the president. Dr. Kasinak and Dr. Parra are wonderful and I recommend them. Unfortunately those positives don't outweigh the negatives of Dr Cucco. I had to have him once in the office and he was the dr on call the day I delivered. He laughed at me inappropriately at the earlier office visit and in labor broke my waters without telling me and left the hook and mess under my body for the nurses to clean up. Also gave me an episiotomy before I even started pushing without telling me and I only found out when he was suturing me up after delivery and I asked what he was doing and he said "oh, i gave you a 1" episiotomy so you wouldn't tear." My baby was less than 7 lbs and I only pushed for 10 minutes so there didn't seem to be a reason I would need one. He was also nowhere to be found on admission when they were looking to order anitobiotics and an epidural and the nurses were very frustrated. For an OB/GYN he has no compassion for a woman's body and treats it like a get in/get out mechanic and is not interested in patient feedback or aftercare. read more

I was so excited to establish for my OBGYN care here. I do my best to follow integrative medicine with natural and holistic approaches first and then pharm if I have to. When I saw that was their approach for women's health I was anxious to get started. My first experience at the front desk was fine, then I was taken back by the RN for intake. Not only did she not even know what an integrative medicine or osteopathic doctor was but she was focused only on her tasks to move on from me, including rushing me along in getting dressed after the doctor's visit. Then I met the doctor, Leta Vaughan, who was kind and interested, pretty good at listening for a doctor, but was doing little more than pushing products on me. The good listening stopped when I tried to share what my experiences have been and my focus as she insited she is the same and just isn't "good at" self-care. There are several doctors at the different Womancare Offices, some seem really good but others, meh...not so much. I used to see Dr. Cucco and was pleased with him until one visit, shortly after I had a miscarriage where he completely went off on me. I was there for a follow up visit and he started chastising me about the risks of pregnancy in my late 30s. I was almost in tears when I left. Up until then, he seemed like competent doctor but definitely not worth it to me to deal with his Jekyll-Hyde personality. I have been a patient of Womancare/Dr. Carl Cucco since 1987 so I believed and trusted in him when he recommended that I lose the many pounds I gained over the years. Last July I began the Ideal Protein protocol, after numerous weight loss attempts with any and every diet program and fad known. While I wanted to lose the weight to look better, Dr. Cucco made it clear that it was more about long term health and wellness. I drive from downtown Chicago to see Dr. Mitchell and she and the womancare staff are well worth taking 1/2 day off to do so. Yes, sometimes there is a wait to see her, but she's worth it. I've seen Dr. Cucco when Dr. Mitchell wasn't available and had an excellent experience with him as well. I'm very selective when I choose my medical care and am thrilled to have found such a qualified, progressive and compassionate team. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! They were rude and completely unprofessional and uncaring. I will never go back! I was supposed to see Dr. Keith and when I arrived at the office for my appointment the doors were locked. I called the office phone number and they told me Dr. Keith was no longer at my location and that I had to drive to the Palatine office to see her. They gave me the directions and said it should take me about 20 minutes to get there and Dr. Keith will see me when I get there. I arrived in the Palatine office 20 minutes later and the nurse came out and said Dr. Keith decided not to see you today because you were late. I explained to the receptionist that no one told me that Dr. Keith changed offices and when I called because the doors were locked at the other WomanCare location, I was told to drive over to this office. Both the receptionist and the nurse became extremely rude and said, "well you were late and Dr. Keith does not want to see you". After my husband and I both took the day off of work for this appointment, then we sat in a cold car for 1/2 hour because we were actually early for my appointment at the original location, then we drove 20 minutes to the Palatine location only to then be told that Dr. Keith does not want to see me. I think this treatment was unethical! read more
