Louvre des Antiquaires used to be the main hub for fine antique hunters. Nowadays, it's a good resource for some antiques, some new pieces, & lots of room to grow
Not all the shop spaces are occupied which is a shame but we found jewelry, clocks and figurines on the ground and sub-ground floors; furniture and artwork on the next level
Pieces here are definitely NOT for those who are seeking flea-market prices - this is fine / high end jewelry
Each shop has its own buzzer & only a few vendors had their doors open - the smallness of the shops makes it very easy to see their stock in the windows & determine if you would like to enter & inquire further about certain pieces
I found 2 sets of earrings I loved but discovered they were copies / antique-style instead of true antiques......so I ultimately passed but can confess to a bit of retail regret as both were absolutely lovely & decently-priced
So overall assessment? Lots of vendors but not all antique. Still worth an hour or 2 for any treasure hunter read more
