Meyer Pharmacy is in a league of its own as far as pharmacies go. The store is locally owned, has…read moregreat service and truly cares about not only the customer, but the Wavelry community. You rarely see Walgreen's or Wal-Mart local sponsorship of community events/activities. Thanks Meyer's for the great service and commitment to the community.

The owner prior to Ryan (the current owner), Tom, took good care of me when I was released from a short hospital stay and needed some meds fast but had no quick cash.Since that time, I have watched Meyer's grow in size, merchandise, and the family of employees. And, as far as I've seen over the last twenty-two years, they not only treat their customers as close friends and even as family, but they also all seem to treat each other the same way. And that also makes a big difference. They all go out of their way to help each other and each customer, always going the "extra mile". I vaguely recall twice in those twenty-two years that they made a mistake. The first was not discovered until I got home, about 30 miles away. They knocked on my door approximately 45 minutes later with the correction. The other mistake they caught before I got out of the store and corrected it immediately. Later I moved closer to Waverly, where they are located (about 12-15 miles from their store), and they are willing to deliver my meds as often as needed, even three or more times a week on occasion Under the new ownership (Ryan) they have expanded their services to include more items for diabetics as well as respiratory patients. An they also do their own compounding of some of the medications when possible. In addition, they have a large gift section and Hallmark card products. I've spent time in most of the states in the USA and I have never known of a better pharmacy. It is a big city pharmacy with a small, home-town flavor to it.

It's full of fun gifts, home decor and funny unique items. I strongly recommend you visit the back room. Because who doesn't need a pot holder that says "I f#*%!ing love cheese!" They have several adult humor items in the back of the store and my husband and I had a good laugh. The front of the store has more tame and family friendly items. Lots of good gift ideas for a wedding, shower, graduation or just to get something for yourself or a friend. The woman attending the store was very personable and friendly. She offered gift wrapping for my items and had pleasant conversation without being pushy. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because it's so cluttered. There is stuff everywhere! They seem to have an organization to it but it's hard to shop. They're us stuff floor to ceiling crammed in there. It's hard to navigate through and if you were a bigger person or had to use a walker or a cane it would be even more difficult. But overall a neat store!

It is nearly impossible to move around if there are other shoppers in there because the aisles are so narrow and there is just stuff packed and packed in. I found a bracelet I wanted to buy so I went up to pay for it, sat it on the counter, and waited for both of the women working behind the counter to stop texting on their phones before they acknowledged I was there. HUGE turnoff.
