From the start, the environment felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely focused on the kids. Our son absolutely loved going every day--he was excited to be there, which was such a relief for us as parents. During his time there, he moved up into another class and truly grew by leaps and bounds, both socially and developmentally. The play-based learning approach struck the perfect balance of fun and education, and it was clear how much thought and care went into their programs. The staff is incredible--Director Ms. Vanessa runs a tight ship while still creating a nurturing, positive atmosphere. Ms. Kiki and Ms. Alice were especially wonderful with our son, showing so much patience, kindness, and encouragement. One moment that really meant a lot to us: when we had to move out of state, they threw our son a going-away birthday party--even though his actual birthday was more than a month away. That level of thoughtfulness speaks volumes about how much they care about the kids and families. They were also very communicative throughout our time there, which we appreciated. And as a bonus, they helped solidify our son's potty training, which was a huge milestone. We only left because of our move, otherwise we would have stayed without hesitation. Highly, highly recommend Kreative Kidz Preschool to any family looking for a caring, engaging, and supportive environment for their child

He looks forward to going to school every day and is always excited to see his friends and teachers. He even asks us to let him go to school on weekends! What I love most is how much he enjoys learning--even at home--which he says is because his teachers make it so much fun! My husband and I are also aware of what's going on since the teachers (especially Miss Vanessa, Miss Adriana, and Miss Rosa) keep us updated in Class Dojo and also makes time to talk to us during drop off/pick up. As a mom who tends to worry, seeing my only child beam with excitement every morning gives me so much peace knowing he's in such caring and capable hands.

The program director, Savi, told me that the information could not be provided until after paying a fee. After paying $125, I later learned from the funding agency that there is a waiting list over a year long, and we are currently #49. The agency also stated that providers are fully aware of these waitlists and should be disclosing this before collecting any fees. To make things worse, I was later told there was an assumption that I was already approved for assistance--which is completely untrue and contradicts the email chain. On April 9th, I was told we would need to be approved first before selecting a school, by the program director confirming we were starting the process from scratch. Because of the lack of transparency, my child still cannot attend daycare, and we were put in an unnecessary financial and childcare bind. Please, if you are a parent searching for childcare, make sure you: * Ask about funding, grant programs, and waitlists BEFORE paying any fees * Request all terms and information in writing * Verify timelines and eligibility directly with the funding agency * Confirm that the daycare is being fully transparent I'm sharing this so other families can be informed and avoid unnecessary stress during an already challenging process. Program Director did agree to refund me, so I am waiting fot the refund.

If you are looking for a childcare facility that does NOT prioritizes consistent communication with…read moreparents and keeps families uninformed about their child's daily experiences, this may be the right fit. As a parent, I believe it is important to know how my child is doing, how he is interacting with other children, and whether there are any concerns that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, that level of communication was largely absent throughout our experience. There were multiple occasions when I arrived to pick up my son from his assigned classroom, only to discover that he was in a different classroom. When I asked why he had been moved, I was often unable to get a clear answer. As a parent, it is concerning not to know where your child is throughout the day or the reasons for changes in their routine. When we first enrolled our son, we were informed that the center was in the process of implementing the Procare app as a communication tool between parents and staff. We were told that parents would receive updates, photos, messages from teachers, and notifications regarding supplies such as diapers, wipes, extra clothing, or any other classroom needs. As a mother of six, I appreciated the convenience and reassurance that this system was supposed to provide. However, in practice, communication through the app was nonexistent. There were very few updates about my child's day, limited photos, and little to no information about his progress, activities, or interactions. If supplies were running low, I often found out at the last minute rather than through advance notification. There was also very little proactive communication regarding behavioral concerns, developmental milestones, classroom changes, or incidents that occurred during the day. On several occasions, I learned about issues only after they had become ongoing concerns rather than being addressed collaboratively from the beginning. Most of the time, I had to initiate conversations myself to get information about how my child was doing. Another disappointment was the lack of classroom work and artwork coming home. I expected to see more age-appropriate projects and creative activities that reflected what the children were learning. Artwork was sent home very infrequently, and when it was, it often appeared to be largely teacher-prepared rather than work that my child had independently created. As a parent, I enjoy seeing my child's creativity and developmental progress through the projects they bring home, and that opportunity was limited. My son is an energetic and active child who loves to run, jump, and explore. While I understand that children learn from one another and that no childcare environment is perfect, I began noticing behaviors and language that were not being modeled at home. In addition, I personally observed instances of children hitting one another and using inappropriate language. While occasional behavioral challenges are expected among young children, I was concerned by what I witnessed and by the lack of communication regarding how these situations were being addressed. As time went on, my son began coming home using words and phrases that are not used in our household and displaying behaviors that raised concerns for us as parents. Whenever concerns arose, I took the opportunity to talk with my son about making positive choices, treating others with kindness and respect, and using appropriate language. However, I would have appreciated more communication and partnership from the staff regarding behavioral expectations and incidents occurring during the day. Over the last four months of his enrollment, my concerns continued to increase. Rather than feeling like I was partnering with the staff in my child's care and development, I often felt disconnected from what was happening throughout his day. Open and consistent communication is one of the most important aspects of a quality childcare experience, and unfortunately, that was something I found lacking. Every parent deserves to feel informed, respected, and confident that their questions and concerns will be addressed. My experience left me feeling uncertain and frustrated due to the lack of communication, limited transparency, and difficulty obtaining answers when concerns were raised. While every family's experience may be different, these were significant factors in my decision to reevaluate whether this center was the right environment for my child.

Even after speaking with Ashley to set up a tour date, she never followed up with the address of the facility. I ended up finding the address online somewhere and showed up to house. I think I caught her a bit off guard as she had her young son with her and had me wait for a few minutes before starting the tour. Anyways, the tour went well. I liked what I saw and heard. I was really looking to change daycares at the moment since I was days away from giving birth. I told Ashley that my son was exhibiting son challenging "terrible twos" behavior. She said that her assistant and herself were more than equipped to handle behavior issues. She also said that in all of her years she only had to terminate one contract due to challenging behaviors and that was after months of working with the child and family. She also said she really works with families if the kid is having challenging behaviors before terminating a contract. I decided to try this place out because they had a lot of age appropriate activities I felt my son would love. Days 1-5 were a bit rocky, he exhibited some poor behaviors I expected. My son is not malicious, he is just in a time of transition and is getting very frustrated so easily these days. I would check in with the assistant, Raevyn, and at the time she felt my son was just trying to transition and was optimistic about him being successful in the future. By Day 5 we started getting phone calls about his behavior basically telling us to pick him up during the morning. On Day 7 I gave birth and my husband was called to leave the hospital to go pick up my son early, the call was received around 10am. Same happened on Day 8, since my husband couldn't be in two places at once, daycare had to wait until I was discharged until we could pick my son up. I decided to pick him up since I had not seen him while I was in the hospital. Usually you are able to go inside and get your kid, today he was brought out to me. Then Ms. Raevyn told me, "Let me know if you need anything." I told her I needed a full day of childcare.... No response was received. On Day 9 I arrive to drop my son off and the assistant, Ms. Raevyn, asks me, "Do you think he will have a good day?" I told her that I cannot predict that. She called the owner and gave me the phone. The owner, Ashley, said she would not be in today and the assistant cannot handle my son on her own. I repeatedly asked for clarification so Ashley finally said they would not accept my son today but I could expect a call later in the evening with some ideas on how to support Patrick. She specifically said she spoke to a friend who is a behavior therapist and we would discuss some new tips during our evening phone call. Ashley never called me. I called her twice and texted her around 8:30pm and was unable to reach her. I afound this to be so unprofessional. If my son was being excluded, I should know ahead of time, not when I arrive to drop him off. Day 10, when I drop my son off I can already sense the irritation with Ms. Raevyn. I asked her if everything was ok and she said, "Yeah, I'm sick. I mean I have allergies." I get a text from Ashley shortly after drop off letting me know that once my child has 2 more incidents, he will be terminated immediately. Since Ashley doesn't stay onsite all day, she doesn't want my son there after she leave. She texted me I had to pick up my kid and our contract was terminated although he didn't reach the two additional incidents. I would like to thank the team for revealing their true selves so early on so that I would not have to subject my child to their negative energy anymore. (That complaint on the community care licensing probably had more merit than I originally thought). But again, Ashley and Raevyn, I thank you for teaching me a valuable lesson. I was so focused on making sure the childcare checked off the educational boxes my mama teacher heart desired, I wasn't making sure they checked off any social emotional boxes. As each day progressed, I noticed my son becoming increasingly angry. By Days 8-10, he didn't really want to get out of the car to go in to the facility. I should have paid closer attention to this behavior and have not written it off as a new issue arising from his 2 day old sibling. My 2 1/2 year old has been in daycare since he was 4 months old and I never experienced these behaviors from him. Since we stopped taking him to this daycare, he is back to being his normal, happier self.

However children who challenge us I have come to find have a capacity of great intelligence and it shouldn't be reprimanded but instead guided with great love and patience so that the potential is not stunted but instead flourishes. At CMSG, Athena had flourished beyond my expectations. Her socialization with her peers had improved her verbal communication immensely within weeks. And after months, after keen monitoring, her interests guided her to her strengths and in which case was mathematics. Athena was in preschool age counting, adding, subtracting and even multiplying. Imagine the feeling of asking your preschooler what was 2 x 3 and they know! I was astounded. It only goes to show the value of the Montessori Method, that running with the interest and personal strengths of the child optimizes learning. It's very intuitive and requires a love which there was an abundance of with the CMSG family. She made great friends and was introduced beautifully to cultural diversity which promotes community value and respect on a larger scale. These are the foundations in children I feel are overlooked and undervalued in public schools. It wasn't easy making the tuition but I will absolutely stand by the fact it was worth every penny. Giving your child a solid head-start is priceless and as a parent we want to give our children the best. I believe CMSG was the best decision we made for our baby. I love Julie and Dan and have great faith in them to root your child(ren) well for their best beginning. ‍
