Wow. What an amazing miracle to decisive Alec's life changing, highly skillful work. I have received a couple of colonics from Alec over the past couple of years, and I just had the blessing of receiving another one. I have been in Portland on vacation for 5 days and I needed services for which a hydro colonic is the best approach. Despite Alec's full practice, he was able to work creatively to fit me in. I've had these services before and I found Alec to be professional, focused and competent. I've had many colonics over the past couple of years from 3 good practitioners and once on a Libby system. The other 2 used closed systems. But Alec and the gravity system are my favorite. If you need a colonic (which you probably do), just go here, you won't regret it. I do believe that the gravity system helps gets deeper into your colon. The releases are more profound. It can be much more intense (in a good way - when it's over, you feel MUCH better). Besides the system however, Alec is also a wonderful practitioner. He is kind, patient, really knowledgable, and enjoyable to talk to. He uses abdominal massage and acupressure points to help trigger release and it really works. He's truly passionate about helping people heal. He does accept credit cards for a small ($3) extra fee. Overall, the price is very reasonable and the value superb. And I much prefer going to Alec over some corporate, clinical environment, even if it were cheaper. This is definitely my go-to spot for a colonic as long as I'm in Portland. I just can't say enough about my experience with Alec. Getting a colonic seems like a weird and private thing to most, so the fact that it was SO good that I was compelled to write a review about it, says a lot. ;) He offers a professional, gentle and compassionate experience set in a spa-like, comfortable setting. If you are searching for a place to get a colonic, look no further! Alec provides a safe and healing space for a procedure that can feel uncomfortable and invasive when not performed properly. He is part technician, part cheerleader, and part therapist-- all of which make it easier to "let go". He uses a very simple gravity based system, which I was surprised worked so well.
