I left my elderly dog at K9 for two overnight stays Sept 3-5, 2016. During this time, I came twice…read moreper day to walk him. I picked him up on September 5, put him in airline kennel for our late flight back home to Alberta. The next day I found three large bites on my dog. One on the centre of his back (2 x 2 inches). Two weeks later there is still a large scab on it. There are also two other large bites on his right side and leg. He is still recovering from these injuries and lowering his back slowly to his dog bed at home. Neither the incident or these injuries to my dog were mentioned to me when I came to pick him up. Due to his advanced age, I had specifically asked for him to be left alone and not socialized with other dogs when I dropped him off. I also reinforced this when I returned him to the kennel after walking him in the mornings. I have used a variety of kennel services for my pets before in several other locations- and have never returned to find my pets injured. The lack of communication is of great concern to me. At the very least a responsible facility and their staff would have addressed these issues with the pet owner. I could not trust this facility with any of my pets in the future. Unfortunately I read these other reviews after my dog's experience. If there was a method of posting pictures on this site, I would include photos of his injuries.

Oct. 18/15 We took our Pet dog to K9 Country Cottage for a 4…read moreday stay. When we returned to pick him up we were told that he had peed on his bed and they had washed it and it was not dry yet so I could pick it up the next day. Sort of caught me by surprise as this is a 3 year old dog and has perfect house manners. So after sleeping on it I went back after 4 pm the next day. The girl there went to retrieve his bed and said that it was so bad that she had to wash it again. She brought out the bed soaking wet like it had been out in the rain all day. So when I questioned her on the fact of what really happened, she developed a huge defensive attitude and told me that dogs act differently when left in kennels.I agreed that could happen but our dog was rescued 6 week previous and had spent the last 8 months in kennel care. I said that if it was really him that peed on this blanket maybe he had been left in his kennel all day and also that his last baggie of food was still there so they had not fed him on his last full day there. We she just went ballistic saying that she was not the only one working there. I would strongly urge anyone that cares about their pet that they would avoid this Kennel as their seems to be a lack of care and consideration for their customers and the animals.

I initially started taking my dog Obi-Wags Kenobi to the Woofer Walker daycare for some…read moresocialization since he is an "only dog." He is anxious, and there were times he did not play appropriately with smaller dogs (he had too much energy, and he does not always recognize/respond to the other dog's body language of "please give me space." They gave me great feedback on how he was doing, but his trainer and I decided that daycare for my anxious dog would not let him be "his best self." I then transitioned him to their Woofer Walker Munchkin March pack walks, which is a much better fit for him. He gets to socialize with the other dogs in the pack walk, run himself silly, and sniff everything (animate and inanimate). Obi would walk over my dead body to get to Woofer Walker Judy! He is so excited when it is Woofer Walker day that he waits by the front door, staring at it until he hears the van pull up, and then loses his mind. Judy is very patient with his excitement. They let me know which days would be the best fit for him regarding the other dogs' personalities and play styles, so he goes every Tuesday and Thursday. They also post videos of some of the highlights of the walks and post pictures - it is the highlight of our evening to watch the videos! I've downloaded some of the images since they are great shots!

As I met more people, I had several people tell me about Woofer Walkers and decided to try them. My dog is always excited to go to daycare when we arrive. He loves so many of the staff and I always feel like Ali'i is in good hands. There were a couple of times when I had emergencies come up and the crew was always ready to receive Ali'i... they are always patient and understanding when things come up. One of the best places I STILL take Ali'i when I have to go away for the week or even just a day in daycare. Thanks to Bella, Justin, and crew for keeping our pups safe!

Bob often takes me out for hikes with the pack which is awesome. I really love this guy, as do all the dogs!! Lisa N
