Where is this million quid then? The staff were not getting paid. These people are crooks and should be forced to cease trading. In many years of online shopping, I have never experienced such shady behaviour. How they haven't been closed down yet is beyond me. Like everyone here, I returned several items back in 2011 and after the 30 day refund policy came and went, still no refund. Emails were fobbed off with the same excuses everyone else got, including the total BS about Paypal verification failure. (Please note: if you pay with Paypal, they will not open a dispute with a seller after 45 days of purchase, which is probably why these crooks eke it out). ADVICE: Trading Standards informed me that Consumer Direct deal with these issues and they advised me to send the Final Notice before Action letter addressed to the MD (which you must send by Recorded Delivery). I received a cheque about a week later which I banked straightaway (a day longer than normal clearance as they use RBOS funny that). FYI, if the cheque does bounce then this is fraud and can be reported as a crime. They are hoping you will give up and stop pursuing them for your refund. DO NOT STOP. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO UNLAWFULLY RETAIN YOUR MONEY. Send them the final letter and you will get your money back. Trading Standards stated they will investigate if enough complaints are made. You are doing a public service by warning everyone you know to avoid them like the plague, expose their dishonesty and register your complaints. We'll show then they can't get away with it. I have had the same experience as others regarding refunds. they have a 30-day refund policy. they received my returned goods on 30th march and when i emailed shula on 30th april to ask about the status of my refund i was told it was still in the queue to be processed as it has not reached 30 days. i emailed 8 times over 60 days and my refund was always pending. i was given the director nick's email i emailed him and then following advice from trading standards sent them a recorded delivery claim citing the distance selling regulations, which they have received but ignored. i paid on paypal and unfortunately i didn't raise a dispute within 45 days as i never expected them to be the crooks they clearly are. however, i rang paypal later and they created a case to flag up a problem with this seller. if they notice other disputes or issues with the same seller they'll investigate their account and take action, so if you paid by paypal and are owed a refund i'd urge you to report it. we may or may not get our money back through this channel but it's just as important to file a complaint against these crooks. they've got a big sale going on and i do wonder, as someone else here has, if they're going out of business. they deserve to, for their lack of ethics. disgraceful. read more

I'm in the same position as everyoe else it seems, I have used this company for over 4 years and never had any ssues before so extremely disappointed now. They owe me £124 and my shoes wer returned on May 9th. As like everyone else my emails ad messages are being ignored. I even got my husband to send an email last week asking for information about their products and what a surprise he got an instant response! I then replied to that asking for my refund and was once again ignored, I can't believe that Trading standards haven't stopped them from trading, this seems unacceptable when obviously they are just going to con more people out of their money. I emailed earth.com yesterday as they supply 'love those shoes' with their products as they are the only one in the UK, I have told them about all these issues in the hope they will do someting too. Have been waiting 3 months for a refund of over £200. I waited 3 months last year for another refund, and finally received it after umpteem phone calls and emails. What a rubbish company! Have been so angry and frustrated, and they are not even answering their phone now. In desperation, I typed in 'have Love Those Shoes gone bankrupt?' on the computer, and came up with this site. I am SO pleased to know that it is not just me!! Well, not pleased actually, but I thought I was doing something wrong. I will now approach Trading SStandards, and/or M and S, through whom I paid, thank goodness, and try and get my £252.10 back. To add insult to injury, I am still constantly getting emails from them advertising their sales. I send these back to them every time, requesting that they stop sending theses until they have paid me back the money they owe me. They are very quick to send parcels and take your money, but when it comes to refunds they are absolutely dreadful. I always have to chase and would advise anyone to make sure they check bank statements. This is the third time I have had to remind them, they never seem to pick up that they owe you money! It is now October and I am still waiting for a refund from 1st July. Five weeks ago they said it would mean sending a cheque because of the time that had elapsed, but the person responsible for writing cheques was on holiday, so it would be another week. Still nothing, so sent another e-mail. They replied saying their managing director would be contacting me. That was the 17th October, but needless to say I have heard nothing. I advise NEVER USING Love Those Shoes.com. THE MOST APPALLING customer services ever with absolute retards refusing to answer basic questions! I paid £185 for a pair of boots which I actually liked but the tag which moves the zip up and down came off while I was wearing them, after only a couple of months rendering them unwearable. Their suggestion? Go to the cobbler and pay for the repair myself!!! No financial offer to pay for the repair of the zip was made by them nor did they suggest that I send the receipt for the repair to them for reimbursement. For weeks and weeks, they have instead repeatedly advised that I send the boots back for inspection but could not commit to a refund. In fact they said the boots may be returned in the same condition i.e. not repaired! They will happily take your money and then wash their hands of you! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! read more

I sent the shoes back in March 12 and had not had my refund by July inspite of emails and leaving messages on Love Those Shoes. Because of the 30 day delay it was out of the PayPal terms and conditions. In July I rang PayPal and although they would not refund they advised me to contact my Credit Card provider. I did this and got my refund back within 2 weeks. PayPal has put special conditions on my account for a time until the matter has been finally resolved between the 3 companies. But the conditions do not seem too limiting especially as PayPal no longer seems to be very useful just for safeguarding payments. I now use my credit card directly safeguarded by the bank's safety measures and have had no problems. Hope all this hardgained info helps. I only wish I had read this before buying. I bought boots for my wife as a Christmas present. They were a poor fit so tried another size. The replacement was sent very quickly. The second pair were sent back in mid December. I am still waiting for a refund in mid April! They say they tried to process it but that failed. I had a n email from the Director, Nick Evans, promising a cheque, that did not materialise. I am repeatedly phoning. He is very cowardly avoiding me and making the staff who answer the phone take the flak. Not their fault, but they are the only ones you can speak to. I know he was in the office, just refusing to speak to me!!! Dispicable worm. I will certainly be looking at debt collection agencie, thanks all for the tips. P.S. Unfortunately, I have to give a star to leave this review. Reiterate everything everybody else has said. Although my claim is small I have just started Small Claims Court process and would urge all to do the same. Easy to do online. £25 fee but this is added to the claim so nobody should lose out. Suspect this company in trouble and would like to get refund before they finally go out of business. Follow up 12 June. Submitted claim throgh Money Claim Online ( Government site). Letter today informing me that claim had been sent to defendant (Love those Shoes) and they had until 25 June to reply. I too am owed money from LTS and after reading comments on this site last night realised I wasn't alone. Earlier this year I had to email several times to get a refund and was eventually send a cheque. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered more shoes that had to be returned. I chased them up for a refund at the beginning of July with no reply. I email again last night stating that I would be taking matters further if I did not hear back and got an email today stating :- [B][I]"I am really sorry to advise that the company has ceased trading and will be going into liquidation. This is a rogue company, please do not consider buying anything from them. I have contacted Citizen's Advice and Trading Standards, it defeats me how they are still allowed to trade, the number of complaints that have been made about them. I am persuing the refund, small though it is, on principle. By the way, when you ring the company they say they are short of staff and unable to answer the phone, but guess what, you can still order on line or contact by email. Let me tell you, they ignore y our emails. Please do not buy from this company. I cannot give it a star rating, unless minus70000 counts! Oh dear- I was hoping not to find this. Me too. Standard Trading it is, then. I am 'only' owed £85, so it will cost most of that to go through the Small Claims Court, unfortunately. I see that Thomas Higgins, recommended here will charge me £15 and charge the debtor £65, if I have read their terms correctly, which is worth it to get most of the cash back and to be able to move on. I will start with the Standard Trading Office, which will be open in a couple of minutes and take it from there. As others have said- what a shame, as the shoes are very good- I got them to ease pregnancy backache, but hadn't banked on getting a total pain in the -- instead. read more

Stay away! Still waiting for my refund of nearly £400. I wish it were possible to give less than a one star rating. I can not comment on the quality of the shoes as none that I ordered were suitable for me. So I sent them back under the terms of the guarantee 6 pairs totalling nearly £400. They confirmed receipt but 7 weeks later have still not refunded me or provided any information about my order. The only person able to comment on the progress of refunds apparently is the Chief Exec, who can not be contacted by phone and does not respond to email. We've been waiting for a refund since Nov 2011 and have had the full range of excuses that have been referred to above. faulty credit card systems, the cheques in the post etc. lodged a disputed transaction with my credit card provider in the end. The shoes we have bought have been great, but wouldn't recommend that anyone bought anything from this firm. we certainly won't be doing so in the future. Amazing in the current climate that they think they can get away with this level of customer service. I have had a nasty experiance also with this company. They recieved my returned boots 31 march 2012. I have been constatly emailing, often getting no reply, or a reply saying it is pending. Tried phoning recorded messasge, tried live chat, to be fobbed off with it will be marked as urgent Eventually I contacted my credit card company who have refunded my money. I sent them an email telling them i was putting it in the hands of my credit card company and telling them what I thought of their service, and guess what ? NO REPLY !! I am horrified at the amount of people who are owed refunds from LTS. I have been waiting from January for £150 refund! I have spoken on the phone more times than I can remember and have also spoken to Nick the Managing Director. He assured me that I would be paid within a fortnight and weeks later I am still waiting. Thanks for all the tips, I will be ringing the Trade Description Office first thing on Monday morning. I have been a customer for a couple of years and this is the first time I have had a problem.
