I'm not setting up home with an elf. I'm not planning a vacation in Narnia- I don't need bricka brack, I don't need keepsakes, I don't need fecking chintz- that's why it's called chintz, if it was any use to me it would be called 'the essentials'!! The NQ has sold us a hippy dream that can never be. Being a boho mash head who sits in coffee shops talking about Neil Young, collects dolls and Japanese backpacks and is generally too arty to care about 'the system maaan' is an expensive past time so either these fakers are secretely high flying lawyers or daddy is a patient and giving man because the good ol' NQ is one of the most expensive and business minded monsters in Manchester! Sell me a dream I can achieve Thunder Egg!!

It is a cute little shop in the Northern Quarter selling clothes (Cutie, Gorgeous - brands like that- yes please), vinyl toys, plastic headbands and jewellery. The till area and near the fitting rooms are like if a harajuku girl started up her own branch of Accessorize. They sell Hello Kitty, Paul Frank, Emily Strange and the clothes aren't even that expensive - I tried on a spotty grey/ purple dress for £18. There was a fair amount of the old leopard print and plenty of sequins and sparkle for autumn parties ahead. Also towards the back I found a Herve Leger style bandage dress with an exposed zip. Ok, fair enough all the 'slebs were wearing those six months ago but I think in Normal-Time that's still a good buy.

My daughter loves it & it's a great place to go if you just want some little gifts for someone or even stuff for some girly party bags. They sell a large range of hair accessories to suit every style . Most of the prices are reasonable & they often have offers on such as buy 2 get 1 free. Great for party items as well such as hen parties. The shop itself is quite small & it can be difficult to navigate your way round especially if you have a buggy & I wouldn't imagine that anyone in a wheelchair would be able to access it. Everything is very crammed in & there are bits hanging off shelves. Overall a nice girly shop for some quirky little bits.

No Matter what your taste you will find something here, from girly girly fashion to Funky fashion this is the place to go. All at really great VALUE prices. From Earrings, necklaces, rings, braclets, hair extentions, hair accessories galore you can always be sure to find something in here. Always worth a look if your after something and great in the sales where you can pick up some real bargins. Great friendly shop, and staff are really helpful. They also do ear piercing in this shop.

It existed in the same premises already in 2005. I was looking for a place to take some good clothes that I wasn't going to wear anymore, and a colleague recommended Elite. Since then I've visited it a few times and walked past even many more times, although I never bought anything. The place takes "elite" seriously: you will find a plenty of designer pieces there, at the price not so cheap. The good thing about Elite, which is what distinguishes it from many other second-hand boutiques in Manchester, is the quality of clothes. Because they take their range seriously, you are getting your money's worth. Elite Dress Agency is located at the bottom of King St West, next to Greggs.

Vivienne Westwood clearly has a soft spot for Mancunians…read more Not only does the city have a gorgeous flagship store on King Street but she's recently opened her first Anglomania branch on nearby Bridge Street. A lovely boutique with polished wooden floors, pastel blue walls and subtle lighting, it stocks a great range of men and womenswear from Westwood's popular Anglomania range. As you'd expect, we're talking beautifully tailored garments made from fine and traditional materials like wool, tartan, cotton and jersey. Naturally, all the clothes have a Westwood twist - from unusual buttons and asymetrical collars and lapels and collars to bold and quirky designs. Of course none of its cheap but that's fashion for you, darlings!

I am happy that there i a Vivienne Westwood in Manchester as it gives me something to works towards, that extra motivation to get that promotion or promotions rather. Great shop but I am not happy to just buy a broach anymore, just you wait I'll buy one of everything one day, someday!
