food was average. you can get a good meal for a semi decent price. but for what you get (sandwiches burgers and salads) you wait about half an hour for. service on the other hand was the worst experience ever. the woman who took mine and my friend's orders was the rudest woman alive. made me go back because i accidentally charged USD instead of GBP to my card. she scolded me in the rudest tone "you're in england we use pounds. why would you do that?!" she made the manager give me a refund and made me pay for it again. this time not letting me touch the card reader. you cannot make a simple mistake with these people. another man came in and asked if they had fish and chips (they do not) and she rushed him out telling him "we don't have fish and chips, look at the menu and come back and order something that's actually on the menu." and another man who the staff thought was with our group ordered a chocolate chai, and we got scolded for it because THEY couldn't find HIM! it was about 5 minutes of us saying we didn't have that drink. we will NEVER be coming back. all of the staff need to learn some hospitality because with attitudes like that they will have more reviews like this. (all of these instances happened within an hour, can't imagine a whole day) you're better off going down the street to mcdonalds and getting lunch there honestly at least there they apologize for the wait. thankfully they have plenty of outdoor seating so we didn't have to interact with them most of the time. read more

After a trip to the local charity shops, I was so excited by my new books, that I wanted to sit ANYWHERE and flick through them. I ended up here.. a hidden cafe that I have walked past a few times and never popped in, so today I did. And OH MY, I will defo be popping back. Cute little cafe with outside seating with potted plants of tables, great little teapots, cheap home made (admittedly basis) food, friendly and remarkably efficient waitress and generally lovely. Perfect spot to chill and enjoy an afternoon! I also nosey-ed at the menu and they do fantastic bargain breakfast throughout the day, so might just be popping back for that! read more

Met a friend here for brunch on a Sunday morning - they were pretty busy! They had lots of outdoor seating that was full, but they offered us a table in the little alley next to the cafe. Not the best atmosphere but at least we were outside! Trouble is, nobody really seemed to know we were there. Service took absolutely ages, from start-to-finish... getting menus, ordering drinks, getting drinks, getting food, getting bill.... it's like they didn't even know the alley was there! Don't have chairs in it if you aren't going to serve that area! But I will say once our stuff actually CAME, it was very good. I got a yummy orange, apple, beet juice - love that they do fresh juice - and the Veggie Works which is basically a vegetarian full English. A fried egg, a big roasted tomato, a huge mushroom (which I didn't eat because yuuuuuck I hate them - thought it would be little mushrooms!), grilled halloumi, baked beans, spinach, a crispy hash brown patty, and some buttered seedy-nutty toast. Everything was tasty and well cooked - loved the halloumi in there, a very nice touch. It was a fun mix of lots of tasty things, and no vegetarian would feel like they were skimping with this as their breakfast! I'd come back, but I wouldn't sit in the darn alley. It's like the land of the lost back there. Not too pricey for London though. £11 for a big breakfast and a fresh juice ain't bad. read more

Lighter than other English breakfasts I've had but obviously filling as beans, bread, eggs, and potatoes tend to be. BUT the hash browns -- oh, God, the hash browns -- they're like glorious golden fried clouds. They're so good on their own that they actually taste worse with ketchup (!). Eat them. And then order more if you have to. Do not skip this place if you're in Fulham. read more

Yum! We stopped in here before a match at Stamford Bridge for a meal. Drawn in by the large traditional breakfast plates and large crowd, we were rewarded for waiting with some delicious breakfast. I had the Mega Breakfast - ham, pork sausage, beans, one fried egg (delicious eggs), chips, toast, grilled mushrooms... every bite was tasty. My date had the Veggie Breakfast - veggie sausage, hash brown, toast, one fried egg, toast, grilled tomato. She too was very pleased! These plates run about 6 pounds each - a pretty good deal all things considered. Only drawback was some limited indoor seating and the fact that tables of four were all mixed parties - a little strange to eat brunch with total strangers, for me anyway. I would definitely stop by again if I didn't live an ocean away... read more

I ordered an American Breakfast (pancakes, "lashings of" maple syrup, bacon, sausage, fried egg) and an americano. The pancakes were dry. Their definition of lashings clearly is different to mine, there was very little maple syrup on my pancakes, definitely not enough to use on the other parts of the dish. The eggs were tasteless. I did not realise this was possible, but they were just bland and added nothing. The coffee had that dirty coffee taste you get sometimes from crap coffee. It's like the coffee grind got through, but instead of coffee it's mud. It wasn't all bad, the bacon was bacon and was therefore delicious. And the sausage was rather nice, it has nice herbs through it. Although there was only one sausage so the goodness didn't last too long before it was gone. I probably won't be returning. read more

After a hard weekend of moving house I ended up here for a lovely Sunday brunch with my parents, and what a treat it was! The decoration of the place is adorable, and the staff so friendly - you can tell it's a proper family-run place which is lovely. I had a three hour dance workshop that day and needed my fuel, so I went for the American breakfast - a stack of pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs. It was perfection, and only £8... In Fulham!! My only tiny comment is a touch more maple syrup would have been nice - which I'm sure they would have supplied if I'd asked but unfortunately I was in a rush! We all very much enjoyed our coffees, and my parents vouched for the quality and taste of their eggs benedicts too. I will certainly be back - it's a bit of a dangerous place to have around the corner of my new place really ;) tehe! read more

I work nearby and grab my lunch regularly at Love Walk Cafe for more than a year now. I saw shops coming and going, some excellent, some mediocre. Love Walk Cafe is perhaps the greatest place in the area to get continuously decent food prepared by nice staff. Over time, Love Walk Cafe became my favourite lunch treat. Great toasted baguettes or ciabattas with any combination of fillings you like, and deliciously fresh orange juice. They also offer various other dishes, have some places inside and great outside seating when it's sunny, or at least not raining. In case you're organised, you could also place your order by phone and then just collect your food without the need to wait in the shop. Great service to save time if you're busy. Anyway, I usually prefer to wait a little while in the shop and watch the staff preparing my food. If you work or live in the area and haven't been there yet, it's definitely worth checking Love Walk Cafe out! read more

I have to start by saying - I love the menu here, the drinks, the american breakfasts, the huge aray of options to tickle your fancy. The decor is cute and the staff are friendly. I'll go back often I am sure, as it is so great to find a place that gets that brunch doesn't have to involve eggs! However - my boyfriend made a mistake perhaps in risking ordering a burger from a brunch cafe - it wasn't great - the meat was a bit dry, the bun was too big and also a bit floury and dry. For burgers you can't go past The Tiger, a few minutes down the road. I had the corn fritters. They were amazing, a huge serving and served with delicious haloumi and bacon. My one gripe with the fritters was the 'smashed avocado' on top. On the menu it sounded like I'd get a lovely pile of avocado on top. However in reality it was just a small spoonful of avocado and it was a bit brown and bitter - the bruised part perhaps? Smoothies and coffee were delicious - highly recommended - just don't get the beef burger! read more

Given when we went there was a sunday morning it was rather busy. We sat down a little side alley and were pretty much forgotten, the table next to us ordered the same meals and got theres and still ours were nowhere to be seen. I asked whether the meals were meant for us by mistake and they assured me that was not the case and that our meals would be with us soon. Another 10 minutes went by and nobody had come outside. The dishcleaner walked past us and we asked him and he said he doesn't know where they are and can't help us - in a rude manner. Then I asked that he advise someone that we wanted to check where our meals were at - 5 minutes later we were served - no apology nothing said... It came to paying and we decided we would just go and sort the bill out inside - easiest thing done yet. Oh and the food by the way was rather overpriced compared to some other similar places in the area. Doubt I will be back here unless it is the only place open. read more

This is my favourite place in Fulham. Incredibly friendly staff, small and cosy inside and lots of outside tables when the weather's good. I even like the little cobbled alley down the side - you can sit outside and keep dry. Lovely breakfasts, great fresh juices and excellent soya lattes and cappuccinos. A little independent gem amid a sea of chains. Definitely worth supporting, as evidenced by the many regulars I frequently see on my visits. A real neighbourhood cafe. read more
