As a total Tantra novice I had some concerns and fears, and Evalena was great about helping me to feel welcome, safe and supported. Once again Evalena demonstrates her skill and integrity in teaching this ancient method of transpersonal, transcendental connection and communion while staying grounded in the body, and without excluding sexuality. Erotic energy and sexual expression are the foundational level of this octave of Divine Love and Spiritual Ecstasy, absolutely essential, but far from the whole story. Conscious, intimate connection with all levels of one's own being, and sharing those connections with all levels of one's partner who is also similarly conscious -- this is the ultimate goal. Evalena creates a safe and nurturing, sacred space in which to learn and practice, and always emphasizes everyone's fundamental right to be sovereign in one's own body, with healthy boundaries, and respect for the boundaries of others, and with permission to adapt the exercises in ways that will make them work for each individual, if they aren't working as presented. I'm delighted that she has begun offering this work to the gay and bi men's community. I've had numerous experiences with the Body Electric style of Taoist Erotic Massage, and while I feel it can be powerful healing, and transformative work, I always felt that the dimensions of conscious connection with the other energy centers were either missing or overshadowed by so much focus on the root center and extended genital stimulation. Evalena's work fills in those missing gaps, while keeping the erotic included, and so presents a more complete approach to Tantra, in my opinion ... plus there's no need to be oiled up for an entire day, or worse for an entire weekend. read more
